They quoted us for a full repointing job (including replacing cracked brick), which we hired them to do in July 2025 and paid $4600. By February 2026, the mortar was coming out. When we contacted them to ask them to remedy the situation, we were quoted between $3800 to repoint, $9920 to demo and rebuild steps, or $15,750 to demo and rebuild steps and pour new foundation and footings (not including railing). I was very pleased with our repair project that was completed in late June 2026. We had a lot of masonry done four years prior, but the front porch and stairs had started sagging on one side. We reached out to get bids and C&N Construction LLC was recommended by a woman at my church, and surprisingly they were also the lowest bidder. Owner Cesario came out and let us know that Project Manager Erik's estimate was solid and how cement and rebar, etc. would shore up the porch just fine. Then the decorative pavers on top would be put back into place. The project went very smoothly and was completed quickly. They always kept the job site tidy when they were done each day. I had a good experience with this company. I felt they did a great job for a very fair and competitive price. The staff were pleasant and professional and masked. I had an old sunken sidewalk that needed replacing due to ponding water during rains and some masonry work that needed repair. I called 5 companies--one never bothered to respond, and 3 others came out to give me quotes. One person came with no mask so that put me off, but it didn't matter as he never gave me an estimate anyway. Another company came out--very professional but the quote was 10K more than the other two companies. C&N was not the cheapest but I got better vibes. Their schedule opened up and they were able to start the work much sooner than expected which was great. They showed up on time, were respectful, and fixed a last minute mistake/misunderstanding without attitude or complaint. C & N recently did some patio work for us and I could not be happier with the results. Our existing patio was not installed properly and the stone pavers were weathering badly. C & N removed the existing patio pavers, installed a concrete slab, cleaned the existing pavers to a like new condition, replaced the pavers, then installed a patio addition that matched our existing patio. They also built a retaining wall in our back yard and around part of the patio. The work they did is top-notch. Cesario is so pleasant to deal with, from the time he gave the estimate to the updates he provided during the project. Jack was also very responsive when I had questions or providing me with weather related delays or information related to the stone I had ordered. The crew was very respectful and always cleaned up nicely before leaving each day. I had received several estimates for this project that varied quite a bit in price. I had C & N put in a new concrete walkway for our home. First, let me state, I am not in construction and didn't know anything about concrete work until reading up on it. But after booking up in one week, it became apparent I knew more about proper concrete work than this guy, and how many years of experience does he have? And due to language or listening issues, he didn't follow my directions totally. But I went with him because neighbors recommended him. Advice - don't ask neighbors or friends for recommendations unless you are 100% sure they know what good work is. Many people are easy to please and don't know any better. Anyway, back to the job. When they set up the wood forms (2 x 4s), I noticed one was warped and mentioned it. He said no big deal, he'd take care of it. He did not, so the sidewalk is bowed slightly in that one section. Then a month or so after they're done with the job, I noticed that the vast majority of perpendicular seams are not squarely perpendicular to the sides of the walkway, they're slanted. His crew must have eyeballed doing them. Finally, they made the slight slope for drainage of water going toward the higher side of my yard versus not following the natural slope of the yard and so orienting it toward that side. The only props I'll give is that the concrete was mixed well -- strong and uniform and that he and the crew are really nice people and the job reasonably priced. read more

DISHONEST We had the original half of our driveway replaced at the end of June 2010. The adjacent other half of the driveway was constructed just 2 years ago. One of the panels on the 2 year old side had a short crack in it, maybe 1' long. We did not choose to replace the entire driveway since half of it was fairly new. When the work on the old half was complete, I noticed the crack on the 2 year old side now spans the entire width of the panel, about 11' across! I phoned Cesario and he refused to even come and look at it-said it was there when he began the work and nothing his guys did caused the crack to extend across the entire panel. If you want a small job to take over 3 years, have to be done 3 times because it was done incorrectly each time and then for them to remove bricks and not return them, then this is the company for you! First time, sidewalk wasn't slanted correctly and water pooled everywhere. The 2nd time they "fixed" it, within a month the coating began pealing off. The 3rd time it was finally done correctly but part of the brick edging was removed and they will not even respond to my text or a letter from my lawyer. Just want the edging to look like it did when they arrived. I even asked for just the bricks to be returned, no response. Each time it was a nightmare just to get Cesario to come back. Numerous times he didn't even come when he told me he would. He's a nice guy but obviously doesn't care about the quality of his employees work. I have to concur with Steve R. I wish I had read Yelp before parting with several thousand dollars. My new driveway started spalling after just a few months (like Noyb U., I knew nothing about concrete before this job, spalling means the surface started to flake off). Cesario blamed the weather and salt and despite everything I read that explains how this condition is generally due to something wrong in the mix or finishing of the concrete, he won't back up his work and replace the job. He offered to patch the dozens of chipped away spots with a glue product, but wouldn't extend the warranty except on the exact spots being patched. I found him to be charming during sales and service, and totally the opposite when problems arose. Stay away. read more

I can't really give C&N an adequate review because they never showed up for the consultation. Sandra Esteves (customer service rep) scheduled Cesario (their designer) to come out at 1pm. We agreed that time worked perfectly. Then @ 9am the day of, we received an email, while at a volleyball game asking if we could move it up till 10am. We said no and they never showed at 1pm. We followed up two weeks later for a status update and to resked the appointment and they were non-responsive. We have since followed up (3) times but still no response. But we have a friend, who's neighbor used them and their yard looks flawless, so they apparently do great work, if you can get them to ever come out (smile). read more

In the past, I used C & N Construction for work on my Great Falls house at which point, Cecario did a very good job. I reviewed him at that time with an outstanding rating. Since then, I relocated and again asked C&N Construction to do concrete, brick and stone work, totaling $12,350 to install flagstone steps, a flagstone wall,flagstone patio and to replace some bricks. When completed, the measurements were off by 3 inches along a 12 foot edge. Cecerio acknowledged that he was off "a little bit" but any construction or design manager would not agree that such a disparity constitutes "a little bit". Cecerio sent his concrete worker back at my request to give the edge a more even look, but that effort was so minimal leaving such a poor edge that every construction person who has subsequently come to my house has agreed that it was just a token effort, not quality at all. I read reviews in general and noticed before my work was contracted that there was a review which detailed big problems with C & N measurements. I should have heeded that advice. In addition, several flagstones had pits and other defects in them which a good quality control person would have/could have eliminated in the construction. After the job was done, Cecerio sent one of his workers back who did replace one stone but there were others. Cecerio blamed his supplier, Sislers Stone, but my feeling is that I paid Cesario/C&N for the whole job, not Sislers, so if stone is a problem, which it was, it falls to Cesario who collected the payment, to find a better supplier. My issue is with Cesario, not Sisters. read more

Family run business. We used C & N Construction to recap our chimney, repair front step bricks, and repair some damage to a basement fireplace. The workmanship was excellent. Workers took appropriate precautions to prevent damage to adjacent surfaces, air conditioning compressor, and plantings. The job site was cleaned at close of work each day. We chose to have the top three rows of cracked and spalled brick replaced, the cap, and any damaged bricks from the roof line up. Also had them tuck-point everything from the roof up. They did an excellent job of matching the brick and mortar so the repairs are barely noticeable. I prefer to communicate by email to document scheduling and project particulars. Work was completed on agreed upon schedule without delays. (It was a dry spell so there were no rain delays. We also knew they had about a 4-week back log when we signed the contract.) From contract signing to completion the project took exactly 4-weeks, including the 2 1/2 days of actual onsite work. Everyone was professional, and easy to work with, making it a very positive experience. We would recommend them to friends and neighbors. read more

We were in need of replacing our front walkway to help beautify our front yard and bring it up to date a little. After talking with many contractors, we received the Cesario's name from one of our neighbors who he recently completed a similar project and their walk looked great. They had glowing things to say about him and his work, and I must say I was just as impressed! Timing was definitely on our side when it came to his schedule, we met May 29th 2018 to discuss the job, felt comfortable with his estimate and due to another job being delayed, he helped us pick out our specific stone that Saturday, and started the job on MONDAY! He was completed on schedule by Thursday even after we then expanded the scope of work we wanted him to perform. He was very accommodating and had a great sense of what would look good in front of our home. This is a family-owned business. Cesario and Sandra were a pleasure to deal with. Cesario was very prompt on our appointment to inspect the old 750SF driveway and walkway. I received a quote the next day from Sandra. The work was postponed a few days due to rain. On the reschedule date, the C&N crew showed up 10 minutes early and began breaking up the old driveway. The crew of five was tireless and work proceeded quickly. By 2pm the old concrete was broken up and removed and the form installed. The cement truck pulled up and the concrete pouring began. I was quite impressed and amazed by the care and attention the crew, especially the foreman, paid on smoothing out the concrete. The finished job was beautiful. The crew spent quite a bit of time cleaning up the debris. I am extremely satisfied by the competitive price and more importantly, the outstanding quality of the work. I've used C&N Construction for 3 large projects over the past 2 years and have been very pleased with their work. The first project was a complete bathroom renovation that was completed on time and under budget! The bathroom turned out beautifully and I have received many complements on their craftsmanship. The second project was a new driveway which I've been told is very well done by others in the trade. Most recently they leveled our yard, built a retaining wall and planted sod. Again, the work turned out beautifully. We sought out several quotes for our first project and though they didn't come in as the lowest bid, C&N was able to work us into the schedule and came highly recommended from other clients. There is a slight language barrier with some of the workers however there has always been a supervisor on sight that was able to answer any questions I had. Cesario is ok. He is a friendly guy and his crew is ok to work with. But if you have any issues, they don't respond. We did go back and forth several times with Cesario to iron out the job. He didn't really hear or include all of our requirements. Based on the original scope of work, sq ft. etc., we went ahead. Should not have done that. Even after several discussions and requests, we didn't have a complete bid. As for the work? On the patios, the slope for drainage is not consistent. Standard drop is 1/8th inch per 10 foot and in places there are drops above an inch in less than 6 feet. Water gathers in a couple of spots. We asked for rectangular cuts with standard grout of sand. The grout lines are anything but consistent. And they didn't use sand, but chipped rock -- small, but not sand. At the end of the job, he seemed very rushed and didn't pay attention to any details. I had to point out the most egregious to have them corrected. In the end, I am happy to have something done, but for the price I don't think it was worth it. Several stones have chipped corners (so not rectangular) and one is shedding top layers, creating a hole. We'll have to replace that piece. I would opt to pay a bit more and get all of the details done right. I can't imagine the cost and time to have the issues corrected. read more
