Updating my review to reflect my experience today/yesterday. I took my Mercedes in because it had a light on for a bad auxiliary battery, and they noticed my car also needed Service A. I got a call a few hours later - prior to doing any work - with an estimate of costs, line items of what he recommended they do as priority if I wasn't able to do everything, and why each thing was important. I appreciated that because I don't actually know anything about cars and wasn't sure what each thing was. I said go ahead and do everything because I didn't want to deal with it, but it was nice to have the explanation of costs and what work was being done. First of all, they're SO friendly and knowledgeable there and willing to explain any questions that you have. The prices are super reasonable and EXTREMELY clear. It's not one of those places where you expect it to be $200 and it turns out to be $1200. When they say "it'll be x", it is, in fact, x. My car repairs/service was super quick - they worked with my schedule, my car was pristine when I got it back, and I'm thrilled with the work done. I was sold on this place for their honesty in my previous experience, and now having had "true" work done, I'm definitely sold. Five star service, five star work, five stars all around. I've taken my vintage Mercedes to several local repair shops, and this is the only one that comes at my car with complete confidence. This place does decent work, but charges high prices. Last time I visited it was 160/hr, which is still less than the dealer, but pretty close, and you don't get a complementary loaner or back rubs. Communication is not unlike dealing with an old Mercedes: sometimes there's a short in the wiring or a module goes bad. For example, I learned that my vehicle needed "a lot of things", yet this wasn't communicated until I came to the shop to pick my car up, and I ultimately never found out what it was that my vehicle needed. Was promised to let me know how much the work was going to cost, prior to starting the work - nope, never did. Little things like that, which would be much easier to forgive if they were priced more modestly. I'd probably still use them for major things if I lived closer, but wouldn't go out of my way to keep coming back. read more

i towed my car to auto service before i wanted to go to overseas couple weeks earlier than my departure, advising what's the problem. Find out later that the owner of the shop is extremely busy was not able to touch the car. i explained that i am leaving for three months to oversees and if you don't have time i can take back to my home that i have 13 parking spaces. he accepted to take care of it while i am away. i came back find out that he still was not able to fix it and have to take it in shop to see what's wrong w/it . So, i decided to call him so many times and send a text message as well that is attached as exhibit A along with long message that would be attached as exhibit B , by finally saying , i had a call from our mutual friend Tony that he told me" Paul wanted to talk to you that your car won't be fixed" that i decided to tow it away to LUXUS Automobile in Manassas in order to be fixed. WHILE THE TOWING COMPANY WENT TO PAUL'S SHOP HE CALLED ME AND TOLD ME THEY WON'T ALLOW ME TO TAKE THE CAR OUT AND I ASKED HIM LET ME talk TO PAUL , HE SAID WHY YOU ARE TOWING? Best, honest mechanic in Northern Virginia. Paul and his staff are very easy to deal with. They get parts quickly and will work until the end to solve your problem. I started going to them after I brought my car in for a complicated and superficial modification to my car. Instead of saying no they said, "we'll try." Even though it was a dealer only thing they didn't charge me which was not expected but that showed me that they were just honest car guys. Not only did he help me out after he closed up the shop but declined when I offered to pay him and said not to worry it was his treat. I bought an $800 240D and brought it in to have minor things fixed. I wrote out a list of several items I wanted looked at, including changing out a rubber house that carried windshield wiper fluid, a stuck door lock/latch, and the pull release knob to open the hood. A couple of days later I stopped by to check on the work, and they said they were still looking at it, and had other cars to fix as well. Finally, on the third day, they called and said it was all fixed, and the total would be over one thousand dollars! I almost fainted! They never called to give me an estimate, or to explain what was wrong and what the options were. They simply chose the parts and procedures they wanted, and billed accordingly with no estimates or approval. I felt completely ripped off and said I refused to pay. They said they knew where I lived and were being difficult, but finally, after more protesting from me, one of the managers offered to undo much of their work (remove parts, etc.) and charge me "only $700" for one of the repairs which could not really be undone. I figured I would cut my losses, and write to the state office for consumer affairs. I would highly, highly NOT recommend you taking any Mercedes product to these guys. If they were not ethical with me, who knows how ethical they will be with you? read more

I said no thanks I'll take my business elswhere, but they said they would charge me $200 for the diagnostic work they did. Beware when giving your car to these people.
