Asian owned beauty supply store that follows black people around the store. Sadly it's still happening. Came to this store as an alternative to my regular beauty supply store, as I remembered I needed gel. I walked into the store and was greeted by an older Asian woman as I proceeded down the isles looking for gel. I noticed for every aisle I went down, there was an Asian man following me at the end of every aisle cap. I looked down and saw the gel just as he walked towards me asking could he help me. I said no, and he put his hands up and repeated himself. I said no again. I proceeded to the front of the store where they both were standing and watching me. I turned, said " Have a nice day" and went to the other beauty supply store about a mile away. I'll never come here again. read more

The Asian lady was very rude towards my 11-year-old and make her feel like a thief, she couldn't hold anything in her hands the Lady made her place her stuff on the counter until she was ready to pay. Owners are garbage. read more

Finally found a beauty supply in the area that not only offers a great selection, variety, specials and promotions, but exceptional customer service! Manager Eleesa An was with a customer as I walked in, but didn't have a problem multi-tasking and politely acknowledging my presence. The store was bright, clean, and new. Offering an array of different colors of braiding hair and weaves. It's not as large as some of its competitors, but with their reward system and other perks they're sure to make a name for themselves soon! The manager let me in on a couple of things... 1)They were running a current special of 20%off wigs 2)They offer a rewards program (all you need is your phone number to sign up) and you get 10% off your purchase when you check in 3)Since they're a newer store,let them know if you need something not in the store. They can order. Lastly, I can't say enough about the service! So much so that I had to add this business to write a review. Being a woman of color, I can't reiterate how annoying and disrespectful it is to follow your customers around the store as if they will steal some $1 nail polish!! I'm over these types of businesses that don't treat their patrons fairly, so I believe in taking my business where it's appreciated. I took my time shopping today for once, without looking over my shoulder at all. I listened to the way the manager spoke to her employees (which were younger AA ladies as well), it was very down to earth and positive. Let me preface by saying I rarely visit BSS often. I find that they are absurdly overpriced and carry limited quality items. I tend to order online, but in rare situations like this when I need something in 24 hours or less, BSS it is. Now the store didn't have what I was looking for, however, they do have a very large supply of items. Not your Walmart sized beauty supply store that Dekalb has, but it has your common items. Would I return? Yes, only because like others have said they have amazing customer service. However I just can't get over the upvahdginf of it all! read more

Warning 168 hr return policy. Just left this beauty supply. I have almost solely patronized this store since they opened. Today I went in to return a pack of crochet braids and accessories that I purchased and did not use. Their policy is return is 7 days exchange or stir credit. I purchased on July 3 and came and to return on July 10. Only to be told in the end that that it could not be returned as I was 2. 5 hours later than the 4:50pm time of purchase. I said that I was going to use the rewards so I didn't have to come back and he just said ok. Sure he does not care. I am 1 of the thousands that come to the store. They have everything you need at the same price or cheaper than other beauty supply stores , but what makes this beauty supply store unique is that they offer a rewards program where each purchase earns you money and you can choose when and how much money to use towards each purchase. I used to work here and I only lasted one shift altogether. They had very little patience with me considering the fact that it was my first day. I had to go to lunch 30 minutes late with only a 15 minute lunch. I was one minute late back to my shift and the manager refused to pay me for the rest of my hours. Every time I went to retrieve my check they kept telling me to come back next week. As I was leaving, the manager said to me "Do not come back here!" as if I had done something wrong. All in all, almost all of the employees have quit this job because of the quality of the work place. I do not recommend this beauty supply store. read more

Best place to shop hands down. They do all that they can to assist you without you having to ask. This store is clean and very organized. They make you feel at home. Didnt like the fact that a display wig wasnt marked down. Why would you have it on the floor if there were no more in stock? False advertising. I would have bought more, but I thought that was bad business so I didnt. To not mark down a display item is somewhat unprofessional and greedy like. Then she had the nerve to give me a cheap free comb that was packaged "not for resale". Lol..right.. anyway... she couldve kept that comb. I walked into the store with my mom and she noticed the owners are Korean so she greeted them in Korean. One of the owners proceeds to ask my mom where she's coming from and, confused, she says from home. The man proceeds to say that she can only shop there that once but never again because she is Korean. We left because we didn't want to give them any business, but came back shortly after. We asked for the paperwork that says Koreans cannot shop there and he said he didn't have any and continued to say that it's up to him to decide who can shop at his store.
