Great people, great work, and excellent customer service. I got scammed through a different company…read morethat had a very similar name (if you see Jax's or Jaxs instead of this company - run fast) and I had a 10 month ordeal of having to find my chair and had to run to Georgia with a sheriff to get it which sounds insane, but I love my chair! Anyway, I reached out to them because they have great reviews and are a local business. Suzanne was so understanding over email and we arranged a time to bring the chair in. Keep in mind - the person who had my chair before took it completely apart and I felt like it may be a lost cause. I met with Bill and he was so nice and also seemed shocked about the state of the chair (I'll include pictures). We talked a little bit and I had some fabric leftover, but I was still unsure about what would happen. He was pretty confident and let me know that he would see what he could do. I left it in his hands and was kind of busy for a few weeks. Unbeknownst to me, my boyfriend had checked in and left his number with them. He surprised me with it a few weeks later and I was so shocked that it was already done and how beautifully it came out. I am absolutely in love with the results and it came out better than I imagined! I am so thankful for their kindness, customer service, and workmanship. I will be doing business with them and recommending them from here on out; solid people.

I wanted to support a local, small business and this review comes at the tail end of so much…read morestress. I contracted in April 2024 and paid in full with delivery included. I was excited to get my chair reupholstered so didn't think twice. A few months passed with no update or reply and the window that we talked about lapsed. I messaged 2 different numbers that I had with no reply. In mid-June, I had to message on all social media platforms to get a response. I was told that there were setbacks which I understood so I waited again. The responses and updates stopped which made me nervous. I worried first if he was okay and what was going on. In September, I contacted the police because I was getting no response and advised him that I would be going to small claims court because I only wanted my chair back as this was at 5 months. He told me again that a lot had happened and he was now in Georgia. I would have accepted bad things happening as I understand completely, but he took my chair 2 hours North without advising me. I told him again I would be patient and he promised that my chair would be done 1 week prior to Christmas. I got zero communication and finally just asked for my chair back because this was ridiculous. He advised that it wasn't done still and that would be even more work which would cost more. I would not have minded paying more for necessary work last year, but seeing as I have waited for 10 months at this point - I was over it and it just felt like a cash grab. He gave me an address for pick up so now I had to drive an extra 4 hours total to pick up my chair. It was not in an area that i'm familiar with and was a dead end road which made me very nervous. I contacted the sheriff so we could have an escort and they did come which was nice, but I could tell he was bothered however as a woman in an unfamiliar area - I would rather be safe than sorry. I did get my chair, but it is in pieces - 10 months of waiting and it's half done...in pieces. I was livid and tried to keep my composure. It's disheartening when businesses have no accountability. I can understand personal and business setbacks - but when you can't do something - just advise so that the customer can make that decision. Now, i'm out a chair and $450.

BUT, my last service with this company - the person did odd jobs (easy) was at my house 7 hours and charged 1700$. That's about 242.00$/hr for things like changing a light bulb on back porch with my step ladder... having a wreath hanger over a tall door I could not reach due to ‍. And the invoice you be the judge. I have now asked 3 different handyman and all said this job should have been 600$ at the most. And why was he at your house 7 hours for these tiny jobs ( except one saftey bar placement in bathroom). You be the judge. I won't be recommending them to my neighbors or friends. everyone is struggling with high prices but to take advantage...

Hmmm…read more Seems to fit - I'll call & schedule my repair of sliding screen door and rehang a linen closet door. Easy, peasey, right? Everyone was pleasant and easy to deal with. I might have been a BIT wary when Karen told me that I would owe the cost of an estimate ($94) if I chose against using their services. I might have given 2 stars because Clayton was such a stand up guy. He arrived on time, studied the job, took pictures and returned to his van to write up the estimate. Drumroll, please..... One Thousand and Ninety-One Dollars!! Yes, you read that right. $1,091.00!! And this is for doors that I already OWN!!! I laughed! It was preposterous!! 4 or 5 TIMES the amount I was considering appropriate for the work involved! So if you have lottery money, give these folks a call. I bet they do a good job. They better for what they charge. If, like me, you DO NOT have lottery money, it's back to the drawing board. Postscript: Home Depot has a BRAND NEW REPLACEMENT SLIDING SCREEN DOOR for $89.00 plus tax - $94...coincidentally what I paid for the pleasure of an estimate. Note to self: ONLY free estimates from now on; only free estimates, only free estimates, only free estimates...
