Yelp removed my original review. Back a few years we contracted Jax Granite to replace kitchen and bathroom countertops. Mike, a congenial man, made a good estimate and a fine impression. He returned near the end of the installation to move some electrical outlets and to hook up the new plumbing fixtures in the kitchen and bathrooms. He also installed the new garbage disposal. All appeared to be fine and good. Over time, stains and etching appeared. The drain stoppers in the bathroom sinks stopped functioning. When we contacted the company, they denied any responsibility,blaming us for not sealing the granite. They also denied doing any plumbing or electrical work. Yesterday we had a gentleman inspect our countertops before doing a restoration. His first comment was these were NOT granite but a more porous stone in the limestone family! So here we are. An inferior product susceptible to everything normal in a kitchen or bathroom. A large purchase that is inferior to what we replace. A company that refuses to stand by their product and services. read more

Mike has a great selection of stones. I personally ordered a unique stone. Mike is very kind and easy to work with. He kept two large stones for me for months while I completed a kitchen remodel. Will go back to Mike as soon as bathroom remodel is complete. read more

Everyone we dealt with at Jacksonville Granite has been great! We had our fireplace hearth and surround replaced. They came out, measured, and gave us an estimate. Another gentleman came and templated the job, and it was clear he was very experienced and knowledgeable. The installers were fantastic! They were extremely polite, and very careful and conscientious about completing the job with as little disruption to the surrounding room ie: floors, walls, etc. The seams and joining areas are done very well, you can hardly see them. They cleaned up everything completely before they left. We will definitely use them again. read more

Let me first say that I have had an entire kitchen and two baths remodeled in granite and quartzite a few years ago by Noble Granite and the process was seamless. Now, for this small project, I simply wanted to replace a sink vanity top that was 19 3/4 width and 24 1/2 length. So I emailed three companies. Granite Noble, Luxury Granite and Jacksonville Granite. Luxury Granite said they were backed up and it would be two months, however after having to follow up with Jacksonville Granite, I went with them. After sending the original email which included exact measurements and photos of the existing topper, sink, faucet and the 25 x 25 piece of granite and explicit instructions to bevel it and round front corners and make a backsplash. it took, after follow up toughly a month to get a quote after I called several times. When I finally received my quote, I emailed back immediately that I was ready to move forward and asked when should I drop off the piece of granite, my under mount sink and a deposit. I did not hear back for two weeks so I called and spoke with Rich who said he was new and there to help get things in order. His tenacity for making things happen was amazing, that I must admit. That is why I am giving two stars instead of one for Rich and the tech Miles that came out yto install. Rich put me on the schedule and I dropped off my sink, granite and paid the full amount quoted instead of just the deposit. I received a call from Rich that the sink was too big and it would take up most of the countertop so I would have to have my faucet put on to the left or the right side. At the time I didn't think I wanted it that way so I told him I would bring another sink. After doing research I fell in love with the vessel sink so I went to floor and decor and purchased it and dropped it off the next morning And I received a text message that my appointment Had been rescheduled two days later till that Friday at 11 am. On that Friday Miles came out around 4 PM And I noticed when he took the granite only one side had been beveled and rounded the other side was square. I said to Miles, Both sides should have been Beveled and front rounded and he said I can fix that right now and took out his tool and beveled and rounded the other side. I then watched him cut a drain hole For the Vessel sink and the faucet. He was flawless! I asked him where my backsplash was and He said they did not give him a backsplash. So I asked him to check for it when he went back to the shop. I didn't hear anything that Monday so I called Tuesday morning and spoke to Rich and Rich said that they would look for it. Later that day I received a call from Miles who said that they could not find the rest of my material to make the backsplash. Now remember my granite piece was 25 x 25 so that would've been enough to make the countertop which was 19 3/4 and a 4 inch backsplash. I had another piece in my backyard but we all know that even when Granite comes from the same piece some of the variation of colors and patterns are slightly different which was also pointed out by Miles . The backsplash has not been installed yet as I write this Review but I'm hoping it doesn't look too different. I was mildly upset that Jacksonville Granite did not pay attention to detail and tell the Tech that was cutting the Granite that there was supposed to be a piece of backsplash. By them throwing The material away from the Original piece I supplied, my backsplash may not look the same because of the variation of stronger colors in the piece that they now have to use for the backsplash. I also got wind of Mike saying I wouldn't be doing all this for her especially for what she paid and I wonder what they meant by that because all they were doing is honoring what was in the original email and the price that was quoted by them. And since they lost my material for the backsplash it is up to them to make it right. To this day they have NOT made things right . I am without a backsplash and they won't return my calls. They dropped the granite bathroom counter top and it damaged the new cabinet and broke 3 new floor tiles. I paid for a new cabinet for them to install. They contracted a very bad tile installer who used mastic to install floor tile. In just a couple of weeks the tile came loose. I called Jacksonville Granite several times to get them to correct the poor tile installation. Sam Garza never returned any of my calls. I even ask to have the owner call me and I never received a return call. I had to pay someone to come out and reinstall the tile. They are careless and do not take responsibility for their mistakes. read more

Called to get estimate on 2 large bathroom counters replaced. From start to finish Mike and his crew were polite and professional. Workmanship is excellent!!!
