These are the facts: Tucker from C&T Appliance Repair came to our home on Jan 18, 2024, and we paid $390.00 for a refrigerator replacement part, which he installed on Feb 21, 2024, only to conclude the part was not the resolution needed. So he took the new part back with him and said he would get our $390 refund ASAP. I have asked over a dozen times for the refund that C&T Appliance Repair owes us. On June 4, 2024, in Tucker's last message to me, he texted me, saying, "I will get that resolved by Friday." More than two years ago we paid Colin almost $600, in advance to order the part he said we needed for our refrigerator. The part finally arrived about 6 months later. He installed it plugged it in and said it will be cold the next day. It never got under 75 degrees. Colin came back out, removed the part he installed and promised he would refund our money. Colin showed up timely (same day) for our initial call. After than it all went down hill. Very poor communication, not on time or didn't show but texted hours later (or the next day) as well as delayed in our full repair by weeks. Being without an appliance is a big deal---ours was our washer so over the course of 4 weeks went to the laundry mat. After the washer was "repaired" we had a loud noise coming from the washer. My husband messaged Colin but nothing . Now the washer is throwing error codes and we will have to pay for another person to come out. His fees were odd as he found more things wrong (& he did show us) he never adjusted his fee but said what he diagnosed to begin with was his final price even if he found other issues after. Evidently he is reimbursed from the manufacturer (??) so you can imagine how many things he found wrong-- which could have been true--or not ‍ Sadly his google review show 3.3 unlike Yelp showing much better @ 4.5 when I wrote this. They were very prompt to respond to my service inquiry and came out the next day to look at my oven. Colin was nice but did not seem very knowledgeable about appliances. He did not know where the manufacturer code was on my stove and proceeded to tell me other things that were wrong with my stove and then talked about my dishwasher which I'm not having problems with. He told me I should just buy a new stove and thankfully he didn't charge me the $75 service fee bc he said he wouldn't even be able to find parts for my oven. Thankfully a neighbor recommended another repairman who came out the next day and fixed the problem within 30 mins for $250 verses $1000 plus for a new oven. We have had our Samsung Fridge for at least 10 years. The Ice maker went out and the fridge stopped getting cold. I'm changing my review. The guy came out and told me my dishwasher was junk and i should buy a Bosch. I explained it was only a year old , just paid off yet he continued to push over and over and over. Then he walked into my laundry room ( didn't ask him to )and told me my Whirlpool washer/dryer were prone to burning down the house. My Lg fridge is apparently crap too because his mothers stopped working, again, I didn't ask. Very uncomfortable conversation now. . So he finally looked at the bottom of the dishwasher , saw water in the overflow sensor and again insisted it was a leaky motor. Actually turned out it was NOT the motor, it was perfectly fine, and it was just a one time leak at the rubber seal on door (that's what I told him) that has not reoccurred . But I waited over a month for him to show up with the alleged faulty motor replacement, he never did and then just ghosted me. So the sensor on the bottom was now dry, so we turned it back on, been working perfectly ever since. I guess he kept the brand new motor for himself that LG said they did send him. smh. First of all, I requested services last minute for Sunday.They arrived on Sunday and on time. I needed the 3 prong male wire cord, switched to the female 4 prong wire cord for my GE DRYER and to my surprise I received a response in under 15 minutes from C &T Appliance. I would also like to add, they kept me updated throughout the time of his arrival and even followed up with me afterwards to make certain the dryer was working to my satisfaction, indeed it is. Called them out to advise on repair or replace of dishwasher. He advised us to replace and recommended the Bosch. Did not recommend the installation that came free with BestBuy and quoted $150 for install. We purchased and had the Bosch delivered and scheduled him to come out and install. Evening time day of appointment had not heard from him so I reached out and he pushed for the next day. Did the same thing day two. Schedule him out on Friday and asked him to contact my husband because I would not be home. He texted my husband one time and left a VM @ 9. Did not make an attempt to call or can't act me when he did not receive a response. Evening came and I reached out to reschedule him for Saturday morning. I expressed my displeasure because I'd be out of town. Came home from business trip to find the $1000+ dishwasher installed, but scratched to hell. Brand new scratched up during install. Its sad when a company scams good people. My parents call C&T appliance to fix their refrigerator in early March 2023. He stated he couldn't complete the work at that time because he needed to order parts... fine, but that should be maximum of 1 or 2 weeks. Regrettably, they agreed to pay him prior to work being completed. Fast forward to July 25th, the work is still not done. He has yet to come back to their home, he always has an excuse as to why he can't make it or even not showing when dates are set. Because my parents are elders, I took this over on their behalf. I called him. He gave me a story in which he had put in a refund, but goes on to say its "pending". I explained that if its pending for 20 days, its not processed. He continued to argue with me for 15 minutes on how basic business accounting works. Miraculously when I gave him a deadline of the end of the month to have the refund or I would simply have an attorney take over, a picture of the refund being requested today was sent via text. So he lied. He likely never ordered the parts or intended to do the work. He scammed my parents. He lied when he told them on July 6th that he processed a refund. He lied again when he told me (on July 25th) that the refund was processed 19 days ago. Buyer beware. read more

In July, I called C & T Appliance repair. Colin Tucker came to the house and looked at my refrigerator and stove and collected $805 from me to order parts for repair. He said it would take 2-4 days. I tried calling him after that time and his phone was disconnected and wouldn't answer. After about 3 weeks I disputed the charges on my credit card. Then we found his business card with another phone number and I was able to reach him. He said he had our phone number wrong and couldn't contact us. I released the dispute on the credit card. We made an appointment and he didn't show up. Made a second appointment and he didn't show up. I called another repair shop and they fixed my appliances. I requested a refund from Colin and as of today have not received it. Filed a report with BBB. C & T doesn't reply to them either. read more

They even tried to scare us into hiring them for a stove top burner repair we did not need, even after I told them I just had it repaired a few months ago, they insisted the burners were a fire hazard.. We got second opinion and the other repairman told us our burners just needed a simple wipe and it was working fine after he wipe to burner top. No surprise. He has never repaired, nor provided me the parts, nor reimbursed me, despite my multiple attempts of contacting him. I previously had him come repair other appliances, and there were no issues. He was quick to respond when I called and with a friendly demeanor. I now see the pattern based on my and others' experiences. He doesn't do this to everyone, obviously so he stays in business. He picks and chooses who he's going to steal from....while coming up with excuses before he just goes radio-silent. Check out the reviews on FB, BBB, etc., to see that he has been doing this to others. Don't fall for the ones he says he reimbursed via apps. That's also part of his scam. I used another company for the repair only because they responded first. C&T sent me a message that the compressor might be under warranty. When I checked with LG it was indeed under warranty.
