Maybe I don't know nail salons because I don't go often but I found myself here looking for a manicure because my first choice place was closed for the day. But I do know that the utensils used should be thoroughly cleaned before you use them on me. Cuticle tool and file and clippers were all dirty before used on me. I won't be back. read more

Mani full set acrylics (short square) & gel pedi - $100, $110 with tip plus $2.00 card fee. That's not terrible. I also won't say the salon is bad. However, I suggest you go somewhere else if you can. (Not Happy Nails in Oxford, they suck.) I was a little worried about the reviews but I figured I'd give them a chance so I didn't have to drive to Rising Sun after a long work day. I now understand why they have the review they do. Two people working there, and I sat next to their appt book... almost totally empty. All was good at first, but as more people came in the woman doing my nails started not to care about quality. I told her my nails were crooked/not square, she fixed it (kind of) I then had to get her to slow down and paint my entire nail because she was literally only painting the top and missing all sides, she fixed it (sike) she went over it with one more wack af swipe and told me it was because she had to file it. I guess me speaking up pissed her off, because she made me bleed when she was filing me. The guy doing my toes put a top coat on instead of a base, had to file it off (which wasn't pleasant.) Be prepared to speak up for yourself here and be sure you're getting what you pay for. I didn't. I won't be coming again. if you wanted to get your nails done here, don't. you should fill your gas tank before you get your nails done here. personally, i feel like this was over priced. i got a pedicure , manicure and my eyebrows done , my eyebrows i see no difference. my nails the color wasn't pigmented. they didn't correctly paint my nails and the girl had an attitude and kept changing prices the whole time i was getting my services. the pedicure i got, they didn't even wash my feet! which i think is crazy to pay $55 to get acrylic big toe nail on both & also painted. total of $117 and didn't tell me the prices till i was all done which i think they should've explained from the moment i asked instead of changing prices thru out my visit. read more

I am not sure how this place has 5 good reviews by any means. I know we all have "off" days and things go wrong, but this whole experience was terrible. Seemed as if we were bothering them instead of us there for a service to enjoy and relax. I will only return if they do choose to contact me to make the situation right and apologize for what happened. We entered the salon around 1PM Saturday, June 15th 2019. The place was full of people- none waiting to be serviced though. Myself and friend decided on getting their top offer pedicure- I cannot remember the name but I know it was to be an hour + of messages, hot towels, hot rocks and extensive pedicure. When we sat down the water was luke warm at best; which I was NOT happy about and I just kept complaining to my friend thinking they aren't serious are they?!? The pedicure choice we both got listed that it comes with polish and choice of two designs. I wanted two shades of polish on alternating toes and my friend wanted pink with a watermelon design on her big toes. We both showed the ladies what we wanted who other than the main lady never spoke a word of English to us. My pedicure was done between 3 different ladies bouncing back and forth as if we were a problem instead of highly paying customers. The pedicure process itself was a complete joke. From the cold water to the filing which was a pretend ONE stroke across each of my toes- seriously- 1 swipe that didn't even put pressure to my toe nails. I kept verbally express my disgust with the experience to my friend and hoping someone would correct the situation. The whole process was no longer than 20mins total that was suppose to be over an hour of relaxation techniques. Now for the third time explaining what we wanted- I was instructed I would NOT be getting any designs because I choose two different polishes. I had not requested design, but when you act very petty over every penny towards a customer already paying $47 for a pedicure it is not professional in my eyes. Then my dear best friend asking for a watermelons and showing the picture multiple times....oh how I wish I had taken a picture of what the first lady randomly painted on her toes. It looked like a messed up green and black checker board on her hot pink nails. She was too shy to say anything so I did- I said that is not what she asked for or wanted. The lady that appeared to be in charge said you don't get to request designs- the designs are whatever they want or feel like putting on. have you ever heard that from a salon in your life!?!? I was just dumbfounded by how this whole experience was going. The main lady said she would "fix" them. O.MG. Just wait till you see the pictures of both our finished pedicures. Mine had a HOLE in the middle of my big toe and hers, well...wait till you see this new type of watermelon they came up with again, that had NOTHING to do with the pictures they were shown. They seated us as little fans in the floor to dry where my friend looked at me and said you're right this is horrible and unacceptable let's go across the street to get them fixed. I will never go back and would appreciate an apology and refund or corrected proper service for the horrible experience we both had that was suppose to be a fun girls outing together before a charity event we were attending that evening. You be the judge for yourself- we didn't take pics of the bottoms of your feet which were just as neglected and awful and the tops. But the artwork alone speaks for the place! Like I said, If they would like to make it right and actually do the work that anyone would expect we will give you a chance to fix it and remove the review while there. read more

I am sitting here at this salon. It has been almost an hour. I was seated at an empty pedicure station with no water in the basin. After about 15-20 minutes I finally got water in my basin. At least 2 people came in after me and got service right away. My water is now getting cold. This is no way to run a business. No tech heading in my direction still. I'm ready to leave read more

Horrible experience! Went with my daughter for a mani/pedi! Was not made aware the gentleman doing my nails was in training or the fact that he didn't understand English. Asked several times for my nails to be kept long and square shaped only to have him file down and round! My nails were shaped unevenly to the point I stopped him and wouldn't allow him to paint my nails. The lady who did my daughters nails cut her twice and then put the blame on her for cutting her! The final straw was when I gave the woman at the register a $20 and asked for a ten and two fives....she gave me two fives back. Sadly I didn't realize she shorted me $10 until it was too late! I am beyond angry about the service and refusal for a refund! Will NEVER GO BACK! read more

The man started to clip my nails and I told him I didn't want them cut and he looked at me and continued to clip my nails. I pulled my hand away and again said I don't want them cut down. So the lady said something to him and he proceeds to file down my nails to nothing. He cut my cuticles and had to put something on them to stop the bleeding. Then the lady came over and rushed to put the polish on and did a terrible job. I thought it was very expensive too. This was a terrible experience and I will never go back there again. read more

This was my first time going to C&T Nails so I didn't know what to expect. When I went in there was only 1 lady having her nails done. I picked my color then was told to sit at a seat. A guy was putting a chair together then finally got things ready to do my nails. Not friendly at all no conversation. Not sure if he spoke English. Before he applied the nail color the lady who I assume was the owner told me to pay him before he put color on. I had called prior to get a price before making my appointment. Was told $18 for a manicure. She told the guy $18 when he came back with the receipt for me to sign (I used a credit card) it said $20. She then said there is a $2.00 transaction fee and it was posted by the register. As it was my first time there I really wasn't paying attention. I said no I will pay cash then. Pretty high for a transaction fee. I told her maybe let people know when they call. I have been to several nail salons and they always use a hot towel to put around your hands then use lotion and rub your hands. This guy did not do that. I would have understood had the place been busy but when there was only 1 other customer there so no excuse just being cheap. They charged $15 in 2021 and now $18. Will definitely not be going back. Wonderful, professional staff and quality of product. The staff is fast, good and has never hurt my fingers or toes. They always remember my colors or know the colors I would be interested in having. Do the least amount of damage to my nails ever for getting gels. Do wish they could get more help but that is what happens when you are good. There is a wait. To my knowledge they have never been open on sundays but would be great if that could be provided with more help. read more

If I could put zero stars I would. I arrived at approx 12p on a Sunday and all the chairs were full. Upon entering, I was never greeted with normal nail shop, "hi how are you what are having done today". I sat in the front and waited. 2mins later a lady walks in, gets the normal greetings and picks her color! 3mins later another lady walks in, greeted, color! FINALLY someone asked me what I needed and I told her. The 2nd lady is called to get her pedicure and the 3rd lady sits to get her nails done! I was there before both! I quietly walked out, drove across the street and within 2mins was getting my nails done! Sometimes it's worth paying a little more for true service! read more

If you are looking for the full pedicure experience, i.e. a nice foot & leg massage, this is not the place to go. If, however, you are looking to get in and out you might try this place. I have never had such a lack luster pedicure. I felt like the pedicurist did not want to be there AT ALL! she was very rough with the trimming the cuticle area - I had to look down a couple of time to see if she drew blood. My absolute favorite part of any pedicure is the massage that generally goes along with the pedicure. In this instance it was rub, rub, press - done. When you are done with the pedicure they sit you on a chair and place mini fans on you toes to help dry them. Not my favorite way to spend $25. read more

The owner is a female 'C' she is defensive. If you make any suggestions or question the work her voice raises! She is also pushy when it comes to sales. I've been going there for years and relied on her staff heavily to produce a high quality result not her directly. She the owner rushes you had massages your hands less than one minute! I have been to this nail salon before and everything was fine but yesterday was hands down the worst time I have ever had at a salon in my life!! I got married a month ago and had acrylic nails put on and they were beginning to come off so I went to C&T nails to get them removed and get gel polish on my nails. I sat down and the man there just started tearing the acrylic nails off my fingers and I was saying ouch this hurts and pulling my fingers away. I said I never had this happen before aren't you suppose to soak these nails first and they said no this is how to get them off. Then the next pull and my finger started bleeding I was so angry I could not hold it back I said I never had my nails done like this before it's not supposed to bleed. They tried to tell me it was normal for it to hurt and bleed when you take nails off, but I had them off before and that's not normal. So the owner took over she was much more gentle but at this point they were almost off and I was fuming. I told her this is not the way it should have been done and she apologized after my nails were done. The only reason I let them finish is because my nails looked like they were in a meat grinder and I needed them to look decent. Now they are really short and my finger is sore. I don't ever recommend getting your acrylic nails removed from this place and I'm uncertain I will ever return there after this experience. You go to a salon to be pampered not tortured. read more

I get it, Friday at 3:30 is a busy time, I don't mind waiting. But for Christ sake if you don't have the time to do the job right then don't do it! I have been getting my eyebrows done for years, and honestly as a man who gets this done once a month I know when you don't give a crap about what you are doing. The woman who did my eyebrows was at first spending time on another woman's nail extensions (which I assume cost $70+), and then left her to quickly come to the wax room, and spent less than 2 min waxing my eyebrows, and didn't use the tweezers at all, and then she tells me she's done. I asked not once but THREE times to fix the areas that obviously needed to be tweezed. By the third time she was obviously more interested in getting back to service the customer with the more expensive service, and so she plucked unwarranted the end of my right eyebrow to a point were it was so uneven with the other that I just told her to stop. Oh, I paid her the $7 damn dollars with a $3 tip because we all have mouths to feed, but I swear to God I will NEVER go back to this place for eyebrow services again! Listen C&T Nail Salon management, your employees are working on people's faces, and should take the time and effort to not rush a service you provide just because it's not the most expensive one you offer. If your employees are busy, and can't do the job correctly because they are busy then tell them to either ask customers to wait for a reasonable amount of time or TO NOT DO THE SERVICE AT ALL. In my 15 years of getting my eyebrows done from all over the world this was the WORST I have ever had. I will be sure to write this review anywhere I can and tell all my colleagues, and acquaintances in the Oxford area to NEVER come to get work done at C&T Nail Salon. Don't bother going to this location. I am sure the service is just as unwelcoming and as rude as their telephone skills. Having never been to this salon, I thought I would call and give it a try although there was already a negative review. WHen I called, the person answering the phone with rude tone accused me of calling the day prior and not showing up. I have never called nor ever been at this salon. I asked to speak with the owner. The manager stated that the women thought I was one of her regular customers. I guess being rude to a regular customer would be okay, by this logic. Unlike the other reviewer, I have had nothing but EXCELLENT manicures and pedicure here. Perfect polish edges at cuticle and lasted longer than any other I've had done elsewhere. Prices are reasonable and they are fast. I like the LED lights, they are cooler and fast. And the salon is now so beautifully decorated, it is a lovely place to be. Prices are reasonable and colors and technique are great. I've only had a better experience at a fancy spa, but NOT a better manicure! read more
