Got here on a Friday night, it was busy and was trying to find a bar seat which we got lucky and found. I got a maine cider that the bartender let me sample and enjoyed; Triple jam. We split poutine, dry rub wings and a onion mushroom pizza. I think I saw on a picture review the poutine was $9, we paid $14. As a poutine addict I can't say I thought it was very good. Gravy was a bit cold and just not flavorful. Cheese curds were good. The pizza was fair, was a bit too cheesy for me and could have used more sauce. I also had a slice on my plate and the bartender without asking me if I was done took it from me, I didn't love it so I let it go to waste, but call out to them you should always ask the customer if finished. The wings were definitely the best part. Dry rub was so good, not messy and the wing meat just fell apart and was very good. I did get forgotten for a moment when ordering a high noon, but it happens and it was busy. The place is very loud with people talking to if you aren't into loud noises this wouldn't be the spot. No parking.

After placing our drink orders, we were excited to try the nachos, pretzels and pizza (which were all recommended to us), but only when we shared our order did the waitress mention their oven was down, so the nachos, pizza and pretzels weren't available. We would have left and come back, but we already had our drinks, so we decided to stay. We ordered garlic parm wings and the short rib grilled cheese. 8 wings with no celery, carrots or blue cheese was $14. We did request a side of blue cheese which ended up being no more than a tablespoon and a 50 cent charge. While the wings had decent flavor, they weren't very crispy. The grilled cheese had a generous portion of meat and the onion rings were tasty. I ate what looked like a small onion ring, but ended up being a piece of fried fish, which was a bit of a surprise. It's a cute spot right in downtown Canton and has a great bar area to watch a game. Perhaps we went on an off night, but not sure we'll be back.

The reason I wanted to come by was because of their dessert selection, but my boyfriend and I decided we get small plates too. Service was a little slow, but we did show at a later time when the staff was a bit preoccupied with the drinking crowd, understandably so. Surprisingly enough, the drinking crowd around the bar which is most of the restaurant wasn't loud to the point we couldn't converse with each other which was nice. The drinks were delicious and came out quick. So did the food, but heres where the last star for this review got knocked off. The fish tacos were absolutely delicious. They were so good I wanted to order another order togo. But the nachos were not it. I bet they are typically good, and the toppings were loaded on top which is always a good sign for a nacho plate, but the buffalo chicken for whatever reason did not taste up to par. Something was off, there was a taste to it that I can't quite explain but it was almost like the pan they used for the chicken was used for something prior and they just didn't clean it because again, it just had some taste going on that was just not it. Not to mention, my boyfriend who ordered it is a spice enthusiast, and he didn't even get a buffalo flavor. Aside from that hiccup though, we will definitely be returning!

Meet up with some friends here and had a wonderful time! We were all arriving at different times and the staff was more than accommodating about that! Our waitress was excellent. She had an incredible memory and didn't have to write anything down. Not to mention, she was very attentive and friendly too. When I entered, I didn't know what to expect with the food and I was very happy with my meal. I ordered the power bowl, and my friends ordered pizza/fries. Everyone enjoyed their food. After we finished eating, we went to the bar to enjoy a few drinks! We never felt rushed the entire time we were there, and the staff continuously checked in if we needed anything! As for parking, there is limited street parking that we were able to find! I'm not sure if there is more behind the building as it is on a busy main road

First time visiting C.F. McCarty's. Some friends and I decided to stop by for lunch and I can say the food and drinks were pretty good. We ordered 2 expresso martini (can't remember the price), garlic wings ( $14), pichana wedge salad with steak ($32), house burger with cheese and fried egg ($19), kids mac and cheese ($9). The reason why I'm rating it a four is because my kid did not like the mac and cheese, i tried it, it was very bland no flavor. My kid didn't eat it. When I was asked if there were any thing wrong with the mac and cheese, I informed the waitress and nothing was done about, nothing new was offered and it was not removed from the bill. Other than the mac and cheese. Every thing else was pretty good especially the martini

This place was really good! Their special cocktails are incredible, you can't really go wrong with any. They're sweet and unique. I am only giving 4 stars because I wasn't impressed with one of the entrees we got--the hunters chicken pasta dish. It was a bit too spicy and didn't have anything too exciting. The pasta was cooked perfectly Al dente and the cheese was good. The CF Mac pizza was bomb though. I drowned it with Parmesan cheese and loved every bite. I wish there were more short rib so the flavor can pop a little more. Overall good place. Parking on the street. Ample space inside. Friendly staff.

Food Was Excellent,Great Portions ,and Very Reasoanable Prices. Nice Drink Selection. Service by Bar Staff "Amaka" was was Friendly Professional and Gracious With Great Sense of Humor -The Simone Biles of McCarthys -A Gold Medal !! Ambiance very casual but comfortable -music a bit loud but DJ kept it entertaining and interesting with Trivia and Song Bingo -My 35 year old Daughter had a ball. Will be back :)) read more

We just finished dinner & drinks. We both order The smokehouse burger and it was Excellent - loaded with flavor! Erin was the bar tender this evening and she was Great keeping-the-flow-going with patrons who came and left throughout the nite. This is a Locals place for all of the right reasons! We really enjoyed the outdoor seating set up here directly outside the entrance to the restaurant in some parking spots. There's an overhead tent which kept us protected from a rainstorm plus two very large heaters. Seating is at picnic tables that are well spaced between parties. Our waitress was fabulous! Super upbeat, friendly and forthright in her recommendations. We enjoyed several beers as well as a delicious Thanksgiving themed sandwich and some nachos. The Thanksgiving sandwich with cranberry aioli was superb. I'd go back just for this sandwich in the outdoor seating. The nachos we found to be subpar with chips that seemed kind of stale, but oh well, everything else was great. We will definitely be returning here. Excellent spot for outdoor dining! read more

Burnt Fish and Chip! I was a return customer, I had it once before and it was good.This why 2 stars instead of 1. I ordered ahead for takeout, and was so upset they actually gave this to me. It gave the burnt smell, I'm so glad I opened it in the car. Then the hostess gave so much attitude as if I was wrong for asking for my money back. At first I was told they couldn't give me my money, but I asked to escalate. The Manager came to the front, with zero apology returned the money to my card, and turned back to go to the kitchen. No regards to my wasted time, and the fact that I still needed dinner! So sad. I would've given another chance if I weren't treated so carelessly. Needless to say, I won't be returning. Ended up at Runner's Pizza in Stoughton, they were so nice and food was great! read more

Super small but super delicious! The burgers were awesome and we tried almost every app they had. The fried pickles are not what you would imagine, but if you really like pickles and not just the breading, I highly recommend them. Of course the chicken fingers and the pretzel was delicious, but I will go back for another juicy flavorful burger. read more

First, the bar stools were very uncomfortable! Second, I have never eaten in a place so LOUD...I mean so loud, I couldn't carry on a conversation with the person I was with. The food was just okay. On a positive note, our bartender was a ray of sunshine... beautiful smile!! Don't know her name but she had black hair!! This atmosphere is probably fine for some but definitely not what this Senior was looking for... Won't be back!! read more

Solid stop. Excellent appetizer - cauliflower fried with Buffalo sauce on the side. A couple of well made gin and tonics. The Patriots were on the TV. Staff were in Halloween costumes and were friendly, professional and well trained. Open air atmosphere, with outside dining as well. C.F. McCarthy's is the greatest bar in Canton for multiple reasons. First off as soon as you walk in the door you're greeted with in very friendly manner from everyone from the dishwasher all the way to the managers who are always walking around and talking with customers. Secondly no matter what you order off the menu you know it's going to be great. Even late night when they switch to limited menu items. Lastly the atmosphere is super cozy and you never know who you are going to meet. Highly recommend weather you're going out to dinner or stopping in for a late night beer. read more

Food was good - drinks sucks( shots- straight ) . Service was good , friendly happy environment. If your a connoisseur. I wouldn't go here . Ordered 6 shots of drinks at 22$ a shot . The shots wasn't what it was . Im gonna leave it at that . Ya need to at lease give what they pay for . Still making money. The service was great and the atmosphere was nice . Hope they fix that . Its messed up . Im gonna give it a 5 star for the girl and the servers that worked hard . Maybe in the future it be better . read more

Two thumbs up! They have all of the Covid precautions and we felt safe. The decor is hip and fun and they played great music which it turns out is from a digital jukebox that customers can choose the songs. There's lots of TVs so you can watch games- whatever is showing these days! Had a great Pinot Noir from Oregon and we saw the server go by with some cool cocktails. We had the firecracker wings- very tasty! read more

Their drinks..omg their drinks I wish I still had pictures. This place is for sure a gem. They do everything from breakfast to dinner. Went for lunch had a short rib melt and hand cut homemade fresh fries, because I told trust everyone with drinks I have a snake bite. They did not disappoint! Love it so much had to take my cousin there for breakfast. There coffee drink "French toast coffee" was so damn pretty I didn't want to drink it. Came with a churro...literally the best thing ever. Omg never skip over this place again. read more

Have been there probably 100 times. Moved to Canton in 2019 and probably go there at least once a week. The Bartender Erin is excellent, recently under new management and they seem to have upped their game, always good quality all around. Fun, Irish bar, friendly, locals go there, everybody knows everybody. Excellent food, just a fun place to go. very good draft beer collection, from regional breweries along with a great selection of whiskeys. Late night menu until I think around 1130. read more

Food was good but insanely overpriced. My ipa was $13 and my Guinness was $9. 3 drinks, 2 entrees, and an appetizer was $83 before tip. For a local bar in Canton that's absolutely ridiculous.. Those are Fenway and Gillette prices read more

I made reservations at 11:30am for 2, we got seated on time, waitress was friendly, brought the food in reasonable time, we were able to finish brunch but just barely, they asked if we were ready for the check and let us know they had another reservation for our table at 12:15p, I didn't get to finish my coffee, felt rushed and uneasy. Not a very effective system to reserve the same table for numerous customers and asking them to leave the table in less than 60 minutes. Ive been to this pub numerous times but I was very disappointed today and most likely won't return, bad service. read more

Great place to get a drink that's made right! Bartender was attentive, answered any questions that we had and was very pleasant, which is a very good sign of a bar. We didn't end up getting anything to eat as nothing on the menu was too appetizing to us but, we were told the popular items to get. The local regulars we're very friendly and so weren't the bartenders. Definitely an upbeat bar to stop by for a drink or two and meet cool people! read more

Good Irish pub with friendly staff. Good poutine and Tuna bowl- had to retrieve condiments and silverware on our own The staff seemed overall unorganized and premises slightly dirty but the other patrons were lively and friendly and there was a good selection of beer and beverages plus fun atmosphere made up for minor inadequacies on a weeknight. read more

Stopped by for lunch as I'm working down the street ordered the caprese pizza and to my surprise there was no pizza sauce, and the mozzarella cheese and tomatoes were cold. I was asked how was my pizza by someone eating next to me and gave my opinion it wasn't that great because of that. The bartender interrupted and said that's how we make it feel free to go to another place...I was shocked and felt very disrespected. I wasn't even going to bring it up at all until that happened. Paid my bill and left. Plus if you're going to cook a pizza that way please disclose that. I've eaten "caprese" style pizza all over and never had it made that way. Sometimes no sauce, yes, but never cold toppings read more

Good enough for a pint. But the pretzel was not that good . I could have microwaved it and slathered it with butter at home. Ahhhh Sysco at its worst. Didn't try any other food so I can't say anything further. Great atmosphere so I hope the other food is good for there own sake. read more

I had gone to tree top adventures so a friend and I were looking r somewhere to eat. We chose to eat outside. I had wings that were super crispy like I prefer but they could have been seasoned more and more sauce. The poutine with chicharones I think with no cheese curds yiu shouldn't call it poutine. I have been to Canada many times and still have not been able to get the same here in the US. The mojito was strong but didn't have the refreshing taste. I opted out on dessert because I didn't feel it would be like oh my good. Probably more of a spot for locals to just hang. read more

Food just okay. Mac pizza was a joke with only slivers of shaved short rib on a small pizza! Tasted like a green pepper pizza. Rip off for the price. $18. For a regular cheeseburger and then they charge .50 for a side of mayo Burger ok but not that thick. Server and service were excellent! But I wouldn't go back. Better priced neighborhood pubs around with better food. read more

Way better than expected! We were on our way back to Connecticut from Boston Airport and this place came up as recommended when looking for dinner. It was Sunday, they had live music (great talent). We got Buffalo Cauliflower & tuna tacos to split then an order of chicken fingers and fries for my daughter. Everything was delicious and well prepared. Hats off to the chefs!!! The Buffalo cauliflower was big pieces, cooked perfectly, didn't fall apart and super flavorful. The tuna tacos were very fresh! & you would never expect someone to brag about the kids meal option but wow. The chicken tenders were definitely made fresh in house. The breading had super good flavor and the chicken was moist and delicious. Honestly I would order this for my own meal. The fries were fresh cut, crunchy & perfectly salted. The portion was really good too. We will definitely be back. read more

The restaurant decided to be gracious enough and swap that off of my order and let me get something else instead, but I was already full, so I took home a salad. Hours later, I figured it would be nice to have something refreshing after all that salt. I'm eating the salad and something crunchy and it's not the normal crunch. So I decide to like look into the lettuce and I see dirt. Especially now with everything going on around lettuce I am beyond shocked. I tried to call the restaurant granted it was dinner time but no answer so I called the sister company in another city and they said they would have the manager reach out to me which never happened . What surprised me as well as the manager from the sister location said he finds this surprising because the lettuce comes in triple washed, and they wash it themselves. All I could say to that is maybe open up the lettuce leaves and rinse them or open your eyes. So I'm putting it out there, I would like my money back, but since you can't answer the phone or own up to any responsibility, I'm leaving this message for you because I get a lot of hits on my reviews and I'm gonna tell people do not eat at this place unless your taste buds are completely dead and you just need salt and dirt survive. PS the ambience is so dark. It's decorated nicely, but they definitely need more light can barely read the menu.. Update, Stewart the owner wouldn't take my call, but they did issue a refund .

Alright, man, listen up! So, me and my old lady stumbled upon this joint, right? Yelp and UnTappd pointed us in its direction, and we were like, "Hey, why not give it a go?" But let me tell ya, man, it left us more confused than watching a scrambled TV channel. Now, the service, dude, it was lightning fast! Those folks were friendly and courteous, no doubt about it. But here's where things went off the rails, man. They had this bomb-ass craft beer menu, and I was like, "Yo, can I get a short pour, you know, 'cause I wanna taste a bunch of 'em?" And what does the waitress say? She says, "Nah, man, no short pours here." But guess what, amigos? Right after I get a pint, I see they're offering flights! Like, what the heck, man? So, I ended up doing a flight, which cost me a whopping 28 bucks! That's the highest I've ever paid for a flight, and I've flown hundreds of times, you dig? Oh, and those supposed 7-ounce glasses? I swear they looked more like 5 ounces, but I had no way of measuring. My bad for not checking the price beforehand, though. But hold on, the real shocker, man, came when I ordered the "One Half Herb Roasted Chicken." When they brought it out, it was just a leg and a thigh! I'm like, "Wait a minute, I must be hallucinating, man." So I check the menu, and it clearly says "1/2 chicken." I tell the waitress, and she drops this bomb on me: "Oh, it's based on weight, man." Weight? Seriously? I've eaten a gazillion chickens in my life, and I've never heard of such a thing, man. Maybe for wings, but a half chicken should have a leg, a thigh, a breast, and a wing. You feel me? Some places might let you choose between dark or white meat, but either way, it's four pieces, not two! So, the manager comes out, and I'm like, "Dude, this is a 1/4 chicken, not a half!" But he insists they cut it in half, and that's a half chicken. How can someone running a joint not know the difference, man? Anyway, in the end, he took it off the bill, which was cool and all, but what I really wanted was the other 1/4 chicken I should've gotten in the first place, you know what I'm saying? I would've gladly paid for a true half chicken, man. Now, my old lady, she ordered a hamburger, but she's convinced it was a frozen patty. She said it wasn't all that great, man. This place, dude, it had so much potential. The craft beer was on point, no doubt about it. But we left feeling like we just witnessed a chicken conspiracy, man. This restaurant was over capacity, and they over served patrons. It was because of this, I did not feel safe. I left immediately after a drunk patron, came out of no where, told me I was at her table and then threw my food on the floor. Four employees at the door did nothing about it.
