If I could give more than 5 stars I would haha. I absolutely love coming here, this is actually a close family friend of ours shop. I'm 20 now and I've been coming here since I was in 1st grade, and call me biased but these really are my favorite donuts. Uncle always gives everyone a warm and welcome smile, and they are the most hard working people I've ever seen. Their donuts are always so big and fluffy, and not too sweet. They always hit the spot! Let's talk about rudeness if you don't allow dogs put a freaking sign and if you are going to say something about my puppy which I had in a carrier please be at least polite about it and don't scream at me to immediately leave you stinky donut shop. Discrimination!!! This is the second time this rude lady has treated me this way. I went in today to give them another shot. I went in at 11am and it was empty she came from the back and didn't even great me. She took off her glasses and stared at me. I said "hello, can I get a large coffee and an apple fritter please?" She put her glasses on and without saying a word she went to the back. I assumed she just went back to wash her hands or something but there is a sink in the front. I stood there waiting for 15 minutes while another client came in and she didn't come back so I just said "thank you" and left. Rude rude rude disrespectful way to treat people. read more

I first came in here because Stardust was closed and it was the only other donut shop around that I could find. I have fallen in love. We became loyal customers of CH 6 years ago. Wow. A donut shop to be revered and emulated. The shop is spotless and bright. Signage is clear. Credit card and debit is accepted for purchases above $3. Service is wonderful, warm, and friendly. This used to be my donut shop when I lived in Imperial Beach. The other donut shops were too far to walk or would close before noon WTF? Yeah you guys should know which 2 places I am talking about if you're really IB. I only occasionally swing by and grab a couple of donuts on my way to the beach and need breakfast. Recently, I stopped in and got a free donut along with my other donuts and I couldn't believe how fresh and fluffy they tasted all while having just the right amount of chocolate and sugars. Not overly sweet like some other inexperienced donut shops make them. This place brings back good memories and has good fresh donuts still. read more

The absolute best donuts in the county!!!! We drive from Coronado to buy several dozen of these mouth watering wonders! I wrap them individually with plastic wrap. The old fashioned and apple fritters freeze beautifully. I have one every morning. I do heat up the apple fritter in the microwave for 20 seconds. Cannot wait until they reopen. CH donuts has a great ambience. Locals, slightly off the beaten path. The donuts are moist and delicious, have had the old fashioned, cake, donut holes, and cruellers. My wife usually gets dibs on the cruellers, but the fact that they never last for me to get a bite are telling.
