It was my mistake for not checking the box before leaving, but it was too far of a drive to go back. One suggestion I would make is to leave the box open until the customer has a chance to verify the order before it's closed. That could help prevent simple mistakes like this. If this is what Krispy Kreme considers "following the rules," the company needs to provide better customer-service training.
