The hours are the winning point for me. Sometimes I'm in the mood to bring treats to the staff. Although Yum Yum donuts are the best for traditional donuts, Jack's is pretty good. You can get breakfast and lunch all at the same location. I really like the coffee. It's either Farmer's or Folgers. "Some pleasures in life should remain simple."

Best sandwiches and donuts, a lot of choices and reasonable price. Plenty of donut and design donut. The staffs are friendly and nice.

This was our first time here and now it's a different time to go in for donuts. I watched as some of people came to buy breakfast sandwiches. I ordered Almond Croissant but I would pass on this. The Apple fritter was wonderful with crisp fritter it's flavor and apples the fry on the donut was perfect. And the old fashion was really delicious too. both with or without chocolate was absolutely worth trying also. I try in go the small business since everyone is trying to keep afloat. Next time we'll try there Croissant sandwiches

For starters, please remember to bring cash! I've been coming to this donut shop since I moved to Chula Vista over 10 years ago. The donuts are made fresh every morning and it shows. I usually get old fashioned donuts because I love how they're crispy on the outside but amazingly fluffy and moist on the inside. The apple fritters are my top favorite and I always grab 2. The size is pretty massive! They have pieces of apple and a delicious cinnamon swirl all around the dough and then dipped in a glaze. You can't go wrong with that. This shop doesn't just sell donuts. They have a wide variety of other pastries, muffins and danishes, along with multiple sandwich options. You don't have to worry about parking since it is pretty spacious and it's not overly packed early in the morning.

The donuts here are fresh and very tasty. I bought two dozen for my coworkers and they love it.

The lady that ran the shop gave me 4 more on the house cause they were closing up. She was so sweet. Just like those doughnuts. I knew when I had an event I'd be buying a bunch here to support her shop. So for my son's birthday he wanted droughts instead of cake. I ordered 2 dozen rainbow doughnuts. Although they were not ready when I arrived and had to come back later. The doughnuts were so cute and delicious. All my guests said they were the best doughnuts ever. I even had one. I never eat doughnuts. And I loved them so much. Fluffy, huge and yummy. Tx guys. You made my boys birthday extra sweet.

I ordered one glazed twist and one chocolate twist, but I didn't open the box until I got home and realized I had been given two chocolate twists instead. I also noticed the Long John had a noticeable thumb indentation in the icing, and the red velvet donut was about one-third smaller than the ones that were on display. It was my mistake for not checking the box before leaving, but it was too far of a drive to go back. One suggestion I would make is to leave the box open until the customer has a chance to verify the order before it's closed. That could help prevent simple mistakes like this. Overall, the donuts tasted good, but paying a little more attention to order accuracy and presentation would make for a much better first impression.

I remember having these when I used to live in Northern California and loved them so much. I had a bout of nostalgia and couldn't wait to share this special treat with my daughter who had never had them before. When we arrived in the strip mall, there was no one at the counter but I guess they have cameras or there is a sensor when someone comes in because eventually someone came out to take our order. There is only one thing to get here (at least that they are famous for) and it is their Senorita bread. I love taking that first bite when given to us because they are warm, sweet and fresh. Maybe not the healthiest thing to eat, but it is quite the treat! My daughter proclaimed it was the "best bread ever"! We loved it so much, we came back the following day when we checked out of our hotel so that we could enjoy it on the way home and share it with friends. Apparently there are quite a few locations in Southern California (typically with a higher population of Filipinos) but I had no idea! Parking is easy and plentiful.

They have a small shared parking lot with Church's Chicken. It was easy to park in front of the business at 9am today. The gentleman behold the counter greeted me right away, and was very patient while I made my selections for a dozen donuts. I also decided to try their HUGE Jalapeno ham and cheese croissants. These donuts were fresh, fluffy, doughy and delicious. I tried the sugar, glazed, boston creme, maple bar, raspberry and strawberry filled donuts. Yes! They are all amazing. The croissant was also fabulous. Light, airy, flaky, buttery layers hid the jalapeno ham cheese filling in the middle. I didn't get too much jalapeno, but idc I loved the croissant anyway. I paid $29 for a dozen donuts and the two gigantic croissants. He was the only one I knew of in San Diego doing maple bars as eclairs -I'm so sad that I haven't been able to find that anywhere else. The reason I found out he sold it and retired was because he saw and recognized me walking the pier in IB :D He and his wife were always welcoming, like you were a family member visiting for a snack and a good chat. The place has generous seating available, always clean and never dirty or messy, and is in a prime business lot at the intersection of IB Blvd/Coronado Ave and 13th Street. I hope the update includes charging stations for customers. But I'm guessing you're here to see why YumYum only got 2 stars. I will admit that perhaps I was a tad stingy with my stars. Perhaps I was you be the judge. My server wasn't particularly friendly today. Even worse He filled my order incorrectly. I specifically requested a vanilla creme donut. What I got was Bavarian Cream. I paid $2.29 for something I didn't want. All I want is what I want AND, I don't want what I don't want. So I was very disappointed with today's visit. I noticed that servers were quite friendly with their regular customers. Seems to me if they would treat all customers as well as regulars they'd have more loyal customers. Another thing that's disappointing is that every time I order a filled donut, the filling always reveals itself towards the end of the meal. The donut itself was ok. It was fresh and tasted good if you like Bavarian Cream filled donuts. I prefer Vanilla Creme filled donuts. I also like to get some creme in the FIRST bite. So I wasn't thrilled. The coffee was the star of breakfast. It was fresh, hot and of good quality. There was a good amount of variety of creamers to choose from, making the $2.49 for a small cup reasonable. Still I didn't appreciate paying $2.29 for a donut that I didn't order that had the filling in only one half of the donut. With so many donut shops in Chula Vista, some with loyalty plans, I don't see myself returning soon. I may just take a break from Yum Yum, and give them another try on the future. Another employee responded more professionally and simply explained that samples were unavailable. What bothered me most was not the policy--it was her dismissive attitude, the way she spoke to me, and how carelessly she threw the doughnuts into the box. I was only asking for assistance.
