First of all, I don't even eat donuts. I stopped in this morning because the line at Starbucks was wrapped around the corner and I just wanted a large coffee. I walked in while the employee was finishing up with another customer. As I waited, another customer came in, walked right past me to the register, and started ordering donuts. Instead of acknowledging that I had been waiting, the employee immediately started helping him and was about to ring him up. I had to stop the transaction and point out that I was there first. The employee claimed it was a mistake, but it never should have happened in the first place. If someone is clearly waiting, they should be helped before the person who just walked in. To make matters worse, the coffee wasn't good. The whole reason I stopped here was to avoid waiting in the Starbucks line, and I ended up with poor service and a disappointing coffee. This place honestly sucks....the customer service, the choices, the quality...if my 3 year old wasn't such a fan of donuts I wouldn't bother coming here but it being across the street from the park you would think they would be happy to see parent walk in with their children. I felt harassed during my visit because an older man kept acting in a way that made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. Instead of feeling welcome, I spent the entire time trying to avoid him. No one should have to deal with that kind of behavior while simply trying to enjoy their visit. Unfortunately, I was faced with a double charge for the order and the donuts I ended up getting were stale and in satisfactory. Being told the charge had not gone through I was asked for another payment.... Turns out I got charged twice for the same order. I do not live in the area as I was visiting a friend; I reached out to the business but have not heard back to correct this matter. This was not a great experience and to top it off the donuts were not fresh. What donut place is open 24/7 during these difficult times. Well this one is and they are amazing donuts. It's nice to be able to grab some donuts at all hours when u need em most. They are made fresh throughout the day and night and it's nice to grab em when they just come out. Warm, tender, moist and delicious. We got a nIce variety. Including chocolate, sugar twist, jelly filled lemon, apple filled crumb, chocolate raised. The line moves fast and everyone stayed at a safe distance. Once or twice a year donut craving and this time it was untamable and it was 10pm and who was there ? Yum yum!!! The young gentleman at the counter was cheerful, clean, and helpful. There was another gentleman pulling out fresh donuts in the background -- the display shelves were pretty well stocked. I ordered an apple fritter, chocolate glazed, and classic glazed -- I had a little piece of all three -- each were super fresh! The fritter was just enough crunchy on edges and soft and not overly sweet. The other two were fluffy but just enough very subtle crisp on the edges. I mean just joyfully satisfying. It took me 20minutes to pick up my order because they were busy which I understand if they are short staffed (only two staff were present). I came to Yum Yum doughnuts to pick up a dozen doughnuts for my great coworkers who make me laugh cause of our everyday struggles at work. Anyway, these are descent tasting doughnuts in IB but there's another doughnut shop in IB that tastes better and fresh. The only good thing about Yum Yum is they are open 24/7. The lady helping me was really nice. I was surprised to see a group of people getting their fix for the morning but nonetheless this place is descent. I got a variety of doughnuts. They are very moist and flavorful. I got glazed, chocolates and sugar doughnuts. Great way to wake up is with sugar. Haha. I don't visit doughnut shops to often because I'm watching my sugar intake. I came here a couple nights ago with my fiance' since we were in the IB area and had a craving for something sweet. It was around 12am and I was pretty happy to see that this place was open. The man working was very nice and had great customer service. He recommended the sugar donut, so of course we ordered one of those. Their Maple Bars are pretty good, but I preferred their Maple Old Fashioned. Al the donuts we ordered tasted fresh, and our drinks were nice and cold. The place is really clean, I must say. One of the cleanest donut shops i've been to in the South Bay area. One thing I noticed that I really liked here was their Nutritional Information poster near the tables. It has every donut they make, and the calories it has. That is so awesome! If i'm ever craving a donut and i'm around here, I'll be back! read more

Came to Yum Yum for an after dinner dessert. There's plentiful parking in this shopping center, something I worry about driving in San Diego. The shop has an old establishment type of feel (like, literally nothing looks updated), so I figured there'd be some good mom and pop type of eats to be found. I absolutely loved their chocolate bars (unfilled long johns), which was fluffy with a delicious chocolate icing. Unfortunately, I was severely disappointed by their chocolate iced Bavarian cream filled donut, which was stale with cream tasting more like spoiled banana cream pudding. The strawberry iced donut tasted nothing like strawberry -- just a pink dyed, regular tasting icing. The bubble gum icing flavor is interesting, but only mildly flavored. Their bubble gum and strawberry donuts are cake donuts. If I came to this shop again (I probably won't), I'd stick with the regular old donuts - no frills, no fillings. read more

First timer here!!! I've only eaten 1 and a half donuts in the car driving home and all I have to say is OH MY GODDDD. The donuts are so soft and feel like a little cloud in my mouth.
