Yes.. it's a tourist hotspot but if you're a fan of seafood please don't skip out on this. It is incredible. I literally went into a pleasant calamari daze . When ordering make sure u stand in the line near the cashier to pick up your order and don't let people cut you! Also would encourage grabbing extra lemon slices as they may slip/ fall on the street and you don't want to miss out on the incredible tangy flavors of seafood with lemons!

Line is long but it goes fast. Cups are hot and fresh, but a little salty. It's definitely a tourist hot spot and worth a try. Small store and you order and pickup from a window but if you can snag a little seat inside, great. If not, it's easy to walk and eat as everything is on a skewer.

We were visiting Almafi (during the high season in August) and I found this place online for fast and fresh fried fish. There are high-top tables inside and two tables without chairs outside. The most popular to-go items are these fried fish or shrimp with fries cones that come with a large lemon slice. There's birra (beer), soda, lemonade, and water to purchase inside as well. This place is easy to find just keep walking past the Cathedral and you'll find this pescheria (fish spot).

We heard so much about the street food in Amalfi and we knew we had to try this seafood. This seemed like the place to be. The line was long but the service was fast. The food was hot, fresh and really good! Just what needed for an afternoon snack!

Saw people walking around with cones of fried seafood and I thought...I need to get me some of that. So I came here. Place was mobbed, so I knew it must be good. I ordered a "cuoppo" of seafood. Still not sure what exactly was in it, but definitely shrimp and calamari. Fresh and fried to perfection with just the right amount of breading. I only had two in Italy, this one and one in Naples and this one was far better. However, it was also way too pricy for what you're getting, but that's to be expected in the touristy main strip of Amalfi. Lemon for zesting is a great added touch!

If you look for a quick lunch in Amalfi and don' care about views then this place is a good option. It's right on the busy Via Pietro Capuano. They sell different cuts of fish and other seafood items. They also sell fresh fish if you wanna bring some home to cook there. We ordered a bag of mixed fried seafood and two beer (yes, they sell beer here). All for 11.50 Euros. The seafood (shrimp, calamari, anchovies, fishcakes, fish fillets) was really fresh. But it wasn't freshly fried, so some pieces were not hot or crispy anymore, even rubbery. A shame, because if freshly fried, it would have been not just good, but great. But it still is a fine option for lunch on a budget. There is even a table with space for about four persons outside, if you wanna rest your legs.

Crazy delicious my friend spotted this quaint place during our walk up the main strip. They offer calamari - 2 types, white fish, spinach and fish fritters. Do yourself a favor and get a mix, it will change your life!! We literally went back 3 times in 2 days!

Run of the mill fish needed it to be a little warmer. Average price for small town and decent service.

Over cooked and cold. I would not recommend eating here. Maybe the food is better if it's just cooked but this was not my experience.

You can tell that every item is hand selected from the olive oil on the table to the house wine selections. Nothing is unintentional & everything is chosen to enhance the menu. The family that runs the restaurant made us feel at home, the portions were generous, the service was so personal & the homemade limoncello was a divine way to end a spectacular meal. The baby squid on pumpkin puree was the best squid preparation I have ever had, the salads were excellent, the pastas were perfection, the fish was so fresh & the preparation with tomatoes & potato was delightful. My daughter had a "complaint" in that she wanted to see the fish head of our flounder... I told her that they cleaned the fish for us, but somehow, the papa heard her in a way that only a papa would & appeared with the fish head on a plate for her to see... she couldn't get over it! It's a smaller menu with each item perfected. I'll be dreaming of returning as I can't imagine coming back to Amalfi without dining here again!

We did manage to throttle back and not eat all of it lol, as we wanted to still enjoy our starter and pizza. The oils provided were the perfect compliment for the bread, the salad (and the crust of the pizza). Salad was fresh and light. Pizza rolled out next and we still believe this to be the best pizza we ever had. Not heavy, but filling. The flavors were so rich and bright. Of course I had to have a local beer which paired well. The seating was outside, which was covered in an ivy like feel. It was lemon trees providing adequate sun coverage and of course looked beautiful. We would highly recommend checking out Donna Stella if you're in Amalfi.

It is kind of hidden away and looks almost like you are entering someone's property. There was a wait but they seemed to remember faces and I did get seated after about 30 minutes, though they did seem pretty busy for a Sunday night. I ordered the lemon ravioli since I had been eating a lot of pizza and read that people enjoyed it. In my opinion, the lemon ravioli didn't have as much flavor as I would have liked, it seemed a little bland and didn't really taste like there was much lemon flavor and the quantity was a little small. Cooked well though. I think I would come back again but order the pizza instead. They did have a longer wait if you didn't make a reservation. Their lemon tiramisu (8€) was definitely worth it. Very creamy and not too sweet and had more of that lemon flavor that I was looking for. I wish I had come in a group, so they I could have tried more things, but no worries that can be next time.

We attempted to contact the restaurant via WhatsApp, which many Amalfi restaurants use for international guests. Unfortunately, Da Gemma wasn't reachable this way, and as international travelers, we had no reliable way to call them directly. The next day, we were charged a €60 no-show fee. Despite explaining the situation to Simone, the general manager, there was no flexibility or exception made. While we understand the need for cancellation policies, the lack of accessible communication and rigid handling of the situation was disappointing. International visitors may want to keep this in mind when making plans. There are many other welcoming and accommodating restaurants in Amalfi.
