This restaurant is on the outskirts of Amalfi meaning it's a little outside the city center. When we first arrived, we were asked if we would like food or just drinks and we wanted food. We were seated right next to the rail of the water which was beautiful. The scenery was the only reason why this is getting 1 star. The server was nice but he came around to ask us what we would like to order quite a few times. It seemed as though they wanted to ensure that we were going to order food.. a bit odd. This is what we ordered and our ratings: - grilled mixed fried fish: 4.8/10 it had good variety of fish but nothing was seasoned so everything was extremely fishy - chicken with potatoes: 1/10 literally could not eat the chicken because it tasted disgusting. reminder to self to not order any chicken when at seafood restaurants/cities - scailiatelli with shrimp and tomatoes: 5/10 average seafood pasta, light on seasoning again For the price you are paying here, you would expect incredible food and service but that was not the case at all. It's important to note that it was basically empty as we were only the 2nd table there in the beginning. This place put me off both chicken and fish. Never been so angered by a restaurant before. Waiter and owner are incredibly rude. Waiter yelled at us and told us to move to another table after waiting to be servers for over an hour. I found this restaurant at the request of the hotel staff at the hotel I was staying at so I decided to give this a try. This was hands-down the BEST restaurant experience I had in Amalfi. The views are breath-taking, especially at sunset. The service was incredibly friendly and very excellent. I got the Scialiatelli with seafood (mussels and clams) and oh my goodness ... I don't think you are going to find many places on this planet that serve seafood pasta this well!! The abundance of mussels and clams was incredible. My friend also got the lobster pasta which was pretty good, but not nearly as good as any of the dishes that had mussels or clams in them. They have an incredible wine selection and most of the list will make your head spin even though I drink a lot of red wine personally. Thankfully, my waiter told me about the different Italian red wines based off my palate. I will absolutely come back here again in the future! read more

You would think that you are paying for quality food & service while dining here. When we were served our water and wine, a bag was thrown on our table. We opened it up and it was stale bread. We were waiting for oil and plates to dip in. We had to catch the waiter. I didn't think we should be eating dry stale bread. The woman at the front said it was made fresh in the morning. Either way it was stale to us. Looks like the waiter was walking around, not knowing what to do. Luckily the sea bass was delicious & served with a small portion of unknown vegetables. My son had steak which was very good considering you don't usually get tender beef in Europe. We ordered french fries and that was also very nice. We had to chase someone down for ketchup. Everything was à la cart. I had the local white wine and waiter poured a little to sample but it was never poured. It was just left there for me to pour myself. That's OK but I would think for a restaurant like this at least once the waiter would fill your glass with wine. Not the type of service that I would expect. I should have left 3 or 4 times. Starting when we were being seated. The couple before us complained about the table they were being given so we were quickly diverted to there table. Then the menu won't download. Then a rude waiter comes and asks if we are ready. I said the menu won't load do you have a paper menu. So he leaves abruptly and another server comes over a few minutes later. After some waiting the menu downloads and he stands there asking if we are ready. So I rush to order. Bread in a bag. No olive oil or butter. Food was horrible. But here is the kicker. My wife's food tasted like dirty ocean water on super aldente pasta. She ate 3 bites and left the rest. The waiter and manager both said sorry but no offer of a discount. But wait here is the best part. THEY CHARGE A 2 euro per Person Cover Charge. And they never mention it. STAY AWAY. read more

The worst meal and service we had at this place. An expensive fish we ordered was never cleaned of its scales, that's just gross, what restaurant does that??? Not even a cheap drive- through! Stale bread, you gotta ask for condiments multiple times and still don't get them. When we mentioned the unscaled fish, the woman at the counter said " Oh yeah?" , that was that. Our waiter looked like he was there against his will and visibly complained about his job. So, if you don't want pay a lot of money for bad food and bad service stay away from this place. Truly exceptional!!! Our first visit to the Amalfi Coast was Christmas 2019 when we discovered this gem of a restaurant on our last day in town. The wait staff was friendly, inviting, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations based on our interests. My wife really loved her fried calamari and Moscato (she said the best ever); we even bought a bottle to bring back to the hotel. For me, one of the absolute best seafood dishes I've EVER eaten was the Gulf Seafood soup. Do yourself a favor and save room from for this dish, and make sure you let the bread soak up all of the flavor. For us this is a destination restaurant. It's 2022 and we're back again, this week on the coast we'll dine here at least 4 times. read more

My husband, 3 year old daughter and I came during lunchtime. We were seated right away but the wait staff took a while to hand us the menus and then I had to wave at them a few times to take our order. (-1 Star) But once our order was taken, our food came out right away. I ordered the seafood pasta and my husband had pasta with meatball sauce. I loved the taste of fresh seafood and the homemade pasta. My husband liked his pasta as well and only complained about too much sauce (I think he just wanted to complain about something). Price wise, I thought the prices are reasonable considering their location. They have pizzas ranging from 7 to 10 euros. My husband and I had lunch at a restaurant in front of the Pantheon in Rome and paid more. Overall, 4 stars. Not sure if it's just the culture of Italy but the service here in particular was SLOW. The location is lovely, we sat outside on the patio on the water. Definitely caters more to an older crowd and It felt like our table was being ignored since we are in our late twenties. I had the roasted eggplant and spaghetti with local seafood. The eggplant, although nicely cooked, arrived cold. The spaghetti was kinda meh but I'm also spoiled with fresh seafood so I found it somewhat run of the mill. My friends did enjoy their meals though. The fried cod looked crispy and delicious and my friend's Calzone was HUGE. If you arrive here hungry, you will get HANGRY waiting for your food. read more

Yes this restaurant is truly wonderful. My cousin TOny and I and our friend Alfonso had one of the Best Meals we had on our entire 10 day trip to the AMalfi Coast. We had a absoutely wonderful lunch sitting at a table outside next to the water with one of the most Spectacular Views you could ever wish to have. We had a couple great waiters take care of us. We ordered a bottle of Ferrari "Perle" 2007 sparling wine from Trentino. The waiters wheeled a cart to our table to show us the fabulous Seafood they had on hand. The seafood was Super Fresh; Coda di Rospo, Scarfano Fish, Live Langostines and Lobster and alls sorts of Treasures from the nearby Sea. We had a spectacular Lunch. They brought us a complimentary Antipasto Misti of Polpo (Octopus) Polpette di Alici (Anchvy Meatballs) and ... We ordered Grilled Calamari, we had Spaghetti with Langsotines, and Lobster. The food was Excellent and absolutely First Rate Service. The waiter brought us a complemntary Limoncello to top off our perfect lunch, one I'll never forget sharing it with my Cousin Tony and Friend Alfonso. This place is Fantastic an I highly reccomend it if you're in AMalfi and want a great Seafood Meal with superb service and a Beautiful view of Amalfi and the Tyrrenean Sea. Love it. read more

Great service and food! We had a bottle of moscato, bass on a crust of salt, and the fruta di mare which were all exceptional. The owner is very nice and comes to the table with a friendly smile. He also owns a shop in town, where you can find kitchen ware but Amalfi style with bright colors and lemons. Can't beat it! Almost forgot! After 9 months I have returned and once again the food, and quality is wonderful at this restaurant. We had the seafood appetizer, and seafood skewers. Both were phenomenal. Our guide insisted this was the greatest place. We unfortunately did not agree, although I will admit we are picky. The chicken my mother ordered was fine, but my bucatini pasta was overcooked and swimming in a tomato sauce that tasted like bottled American sauce, and my husband's seafood skewered was not fresh tasting, mushy, not good.
