I completed treatment for dry eyes with Dr. Brogdon in Little Rock. The office staff, nurses and…read moreDr Brogdon were all very courteous, professional and showed me nothing but kindness and respect. My dry eye problem was improved to the point I was able to have my cataract surgery. I had cataract surgery on both eyes over a 2 week period (community care referred from the VA). It was the most positive experience that I have ever had in a medical environment. I saw staff and doctors in both the Hot Springs and Little Rock clinics and the Little Rock Surgical Center. Everyone I came in contact with showed extraordinary professionalism, compassion and such a personal feeling of attentiveness. I would definitely call this clinic a "best practice" model from start to finish. Thank you to all involved in my care, Karren Blankenship

Concerning Experience and Pressure for Unnecessary Surgery…read more I had a two‑hour exam here in December 2025, and the experience left me very uneasy. Despite having a large office, there were no ophthalmologists on site. After the exam, I was told I had "severe" nuclear cataracts and needed to have both lenses removed urgently -- before Christmas -- and that I would have to travel to Little Rock because they had no ophthalmologists locally. I was also told LASIK wouldn't work and that the surgery was invasive, which added to the pressure. The urgency they pushed did not feel right, so I requested my records and sought a second opinion. They initially refused to send my records to the ophthalmologist in my own town, and the doctor there had to call them himself to get them. My second exam (also two hours) showed something very different: only mild cataracts that are completely normal for my age, excellent eyesight, and absolutely no need for surgery. The ophthalmologist told me, "If it isn't broken, we're not going to fix it." Based on my experience, I felt pressured toward an unnecessary and invasive procedure. I encourage anyone who receives an alarming diagnosis here to get a second opinion.

I saw Dr Skinner and she was awesome. Very thorough. She took the time to answer my questions and I was reviewed my test results with me. First off the selection of glasses consist of maybe 10 pairs. They look like cheaper than something at the dollar store. It takes forever to get someone to even notice you even though its by appointment. I ordered some transition lenses for women. After waiting 2 weeks, or more I received a mens thick librarian glasses. I am guessing they are the most cheap and plain kind wit fingerprints. Of course the prescription is incorrect and they are not shaded. Not only have I not heard of the brand of glasses but the kid at the office was supposed to have written down all of this and I wasted a long time waiting for the computer to catch up. The staff is also rude. When I called every phone number, no one let me into the office. I stood outside and got no reaction from the staff. I came in because other patients were leaving. When I was let in the dude in charge of handing out my glasses announced what a rude person I am to go inside without calling. So now I didn't only lose a few hours and paid for an appointment but Im stuck with hideous trash for glasses.
