Hi All. When Ann and I considered having our flat, residential roof recoated we solicited (at least) 4 companies with excellent Yelp reviews to provide estimates. We intend to stay in our home so we weren't necessarily looking for the lowest cost solution as lower cost typically translates into a thinner finished coating thickness with a shorter guarantee. We received estimates ranging from 5-20 years from the firms that responded. Most firms quoted one price. C4 was the only firm that provided two estimates of 5 and 20 years using two different coating types. Since we didn't want to think about doing the roof again in our lifetimes we opted for the 20 year estimate. Complicating our situation was the fact that our HOA does not allow for white roof coatings (in Arizona no less! Go figure). As a result we had to go through a lot of frustrating steps with the HOA before we were finally cleared to have C4 begin the job. Over those - couple of months - Daniel handled interfacing with the HOA on our behalf to answer the technical questions on how 'bright' the roof coating was, what shades were available in a comparable material that manufacturers had to offer that would support the 20 year warranty. In short Daniel saved us a tremendous amount of headache and frustration and the job was finally approved. My enthusiastic recommendation is to include Daniel and C4 in your planning if you are considering having your roof redone and you care about the quality and workmanship of the job. Before we met them, we made a mistake getting our roof repaired by hiring an unlicensed "I know a guy" referral that I won't name here. Long story short at the end we knew we needed a second opinion on their work. Enter Daniel, within a couple hours of my Yelp quote request he called and showed up to our home same day to look things over. Daniel is as honest and by the book as they come. He quickly identified what was wrong, what needed to be done and quickly quoted us a fair price for the work. A quote we got from different roofer during all this quoted us much higher to replace the entire roof - an upsell in my opinion - but Daniel assured us that wasn't necessary. He was great at documenting their progress with photos they texted to us throughout the process. They always showed up when they said they would, and kept us posted with rain delays as necessary.
