Great service and very fair price! I brought my 18-foot Class B camper van (Ram ProMaster) here for a smog check, and the price was very reasonable compared to other places that quoted much higher. The staff was friendly, professional, and the whole process was quick and smooth. It's not always easy to find a shop willing to do smog checks for camper vans, but they handled it with no problem. I really appreciate their honesty and efficiency. Highly recommend this place if you need a smog check in the area!

My friend had a smog check that was due and found this spot looking up Yelp. They are friendly and quick smog check spot located next to and connected to a gas station. My friend had called in and was told to come in as walk-in and no appointment was needed. It was early afternoon and not busy so the smog check was done quick with friendly customer service staff. Smog check was passed with no issues. Will recommend to my friends and come here next time. Again, really friendly and fast smog service in town. After looking through yelp reviews and seeing that this place offers a coupon. Plus it was down the block from my house, we decided to give this place a try. There were no hidden fees. No electronic transmission fee like some other places charge. The lady that works here is super friendly and even told me that if I write a yelp review, I would get an ADDITIONAL $5 dollars off on top of the coupon!! Sweet deal. They were really quick!! This place is the best! I had a hard time finding a place that would smog my 81 vw vanagon, but this place had no problem doing it. Today, I brought in my minivan and they were incredibly thorough, making sure the work I had done at another spot was done correctly and as promised. Highly recommend this place. I am new to the area seen how they had a 5 star rating. Got a smog check and the technician was friendly and fast. I was in and out in less than 20 mins. The next day I had an issue with my paperwork totally not their fault, I had the wrong VIN number. Long story short I called and they waited for me to show up and fix the issue. I really appreciate them staying open and helping me out. That's really good customer service and super courteous of them to help me out. I will definitely go back an have my car serviced their again. read more

Great place, in and out service. This place was first located in Signal Hill, and when the owner moved I was sad because I had to find somewhere else to get my car smoged. Went in for a smog. Worst case scenario, could have charged me for a smog & did it anyways besides the fact that I didn't need one. I wouldn't have noticed. But he saved me $49! GREAT SERVICE ! Easy to drive to and find! They even gave me a better coupon than the one I had. it is apart of the gas station. Takes all cards and cash. there's a little waiting area but u can walk around the neighborhood or go across the street for good food (LB Fish grill) My smog check took 10 mins. and the couple (owners) are UBER ADORABLE! call ahead but they may just take drive ups. Like getting…read moredocuments notarized, the process is heavily regulated by the state, but unlike a notary, it looks like a SMOG testing center can charge what they want. So the $40 out the door (including the mandatory $8.25 fee for the certificate) is a great price. I actually found a coupon from smogtips.com for $29.95 for this space, but once you add in the extras, it came out the same...so the tech didn't even take it. The $40 is listed clearly, and it seems like it would be the same for minivans and small SUVs as well (other places seem to have extra surcharges for that). Like others said, it's easy to drive in if you are next, but if somebody is getting tested, you would need to drive into the auto repair shop driveway right after and walk back to the garage to get in line. You can only enter going South on Long Beach Blvd (since Long Beach Blvd is a divided road). There is a small waiting room with a TV showing a local station. Once our car got hooked up, it took about 15 minutes to complete. They take credit cards, and will give you a computerized Vehicle Inspection Report. Now I just need to wait for the electronic submission to be recorded at the DMV, so I can renew my registration on-line. Conclusion: the price is good, and quick once you get started. We'll come back to this place in 2 years.

My only complaint: they really need a better sign directing traffic - they have a big sign out in front, that points into their one-car garage, so if someone else is already getting a smog check (as was the case when I got there), it is completely non-obvious where to go. You actually turn into the following drive-way, which looks like it leads into a car-wash, and then park around the back of the building. Their sign out front really needs to tell people that. Once I figured out where I was going, though, super quick and easy.

This place is a ripoff!! They dont even hook your car up to their computer before the Asian man behind the Counter is charging you for what they did, (nothing!)The Asian dude with the glasses is untrained and thinks he knows more than he actually does which posses a troublesome issue when working on one's car. This was my experience with this place twice. If you have $50 to throw away, makes no difference to me use them but please beware of the scam they use. I didn't give a rating to them cause they dont deserve one for the disservice they give to the public read more

I normally go to a smog place in Anaheim but I now live here in Long Beach. I decided to try this place because it was close to where I live. I came early thinking there would be a line. Nope! No one was here. They are super nice, fast and efficient. There are 2 bays for cars as well. Some smaller places only have one. I would for sure recommend anyone to come here. Plus they have comparable prices (not overly expensive) and the best part is, they are open on Sunday's. So many other places close on Sunday's. Great place! read more

This by far the best Smog Station I have been to. In less than 10 minutes I was already done. The staff are very friendly and they will make you feel like a friend or family. What's best about this smog station is the PRICE! no one can beat their price! The guy who did my smog test was very knowledgeable and he certain know what he is doing. Definitely a place to go to when you need your car test for smog. Very efficient, quick and professional and oh did I mention the PRICE is excellent ? read more

Trying Ca Express Smog for the first time. Found a coupon online. Super friendly service. One free retest if you don't pass. 15 days to repass and the super nice woman at the counter, part owner, told me that if I can't fix it in that time she would give me an extension. So nice and thoughtful, as life gets hectic and we can't often make deadlines. They are quick but If you don't want to wait here, there are a few places to eat or shop near by and a bar as well. Would recommend to anyone! read more

I'm from out of state, so I wasn't terribly sure of the whole smog test procedure. They answered a lot of my questions over the phone, gave me a discount, and explained their pricing policy before I even got there. The place is clean and in a safe neighborhood, which was lot more appealing to me. Two bays meant that they are able to get the cars through faster, so my wait time was pretty good, considering that there were a few cars waiting ahead of me! read more

This is my second time using their services. I came two years ago and it was quick and easy. I'm back today and I was in and out within 15 min. The customer service is always top notch. Friendly as always very pleasant, speedy and efficient. They handle all paperwork to DMV. I will highly recommend to anyone. Check them out next time you need smog check. read more

Internet special + Yelp coupon? Sign me up! Had to go to smog test only station, and this was the best deal in area, fast and friendly. Came in on a weekday morning and no wait. Loved that it was right across from Valvoline instant oil change a and car wash-- I didn't have to drive all over town, made my maintenance stop easy and care-free. read more

I recommend this place for your smog check. Quick and easy. I drove up to the testing bay and before I got out of my car, the technician was there to help. Felipe was a nice guy and very professional. He tested the car while I waited in the adjoining waiting area. The whole process was about 10 minutes and the price was very competitive. read more

Omg great service and great deals . I was very please with everything. Even though my truck didnt pass they didnt charge me the $8.25 tax fee. They said once I fix the problem come back for a retest for free then pay the tax fee. Very impressed only pay $44 due to writing a review they take additional $5 off. How cool is that?? read more

Staff is very friendly and professional with a smile! Customer service is great! Went to get my Smog Check here without an appointment. I came in the afternoon and there was no wait. Small waiting area that is very clean with magazines. The shop is clean too. They have a coupon on their website that I printed! read more

Great place to get your smog checked I've been coming here for years now. I've had two cars, now three that have been smogged by the facility and they've all passed. If you haveva concern with your car they will assist you right away or let you know how can you reseolve your problem. read more

The owners were so nice! I came right when they were about to close and they stayed open for me :) I really appreciate it! It also was only 52 dollars versus the 60 I paid last year somewhere else. If you want awesome customer service at a great price bring your car here! read more
