Ca Express Smog is the place to go to for a smog check. The owner, Paul, is honest and reliable. He had my car in and out within 15 minutes and my car passed the smog test. I had gone to two other places in which both said I failed. One wanted to charge me $124 for a cracked hose ( there wasn't one) and the other wanted to charge me between $600 and $1,300 because something might need fixing ( they would have to take it apart to see.) It is refreshing to know that there are businessmen who have personal integrity and who are not trying to rip everyone off. Thanks Paul!!! read more

Went there for my 5 star certified Smog Check and Jay I believe was his name was very helpful very hands on as soon as I pulled in... I didn't have my DMV paperwork but he didn't make a big deal out of it... he was very knowledgeable as well and super nice! The best part of this experience was that I wasn't even there for more than 10 minutes! Super fast and reliable I would definitely recommend this place! read more

This smog check has such great reviews about customer service, but when I called to see how much a smog check was, I was told because my car is just past the 3 year check for a smog check, I was very suspicious and that I was up to something fishy. My family owns a car business so I think I would know my way around a car. This customer service was idiotic and the person that "helped me" really needs to know how to talk to customers. These guys saved my life! My tags were due in a couple of days, and it was a must that I get them done over the weekend. My regular place was only open on Saturday, but I may or may not have made it that day because I partied too much the night before ... ok, I didn't make it! Thankfully, this place was open on Sunday! Until I move out of the Long Beach area, I believe I've found my smog station! I bypassed the business I originally intended to visit because it was hard to find and was full of cars. I happened on this one and I'm so glad. Easy to get to, places to park, friendly attendant and no lines (during the week anyway)! The business adjoins a Mobile station which is a separate entity. If you go into their store, they'll direct you to the back. You fill out a form and it takes about 5 minutes on a new out-of-state car (mine is 2015). I paid less than $40 and they gave me the lowdown on what I needed to have ready for the DMV. I still wonder whether I was supposed to tip, though. The guy was so nice, I wanted to! read more
