6 Stars! We had a flawless dining experience here for dinner. Our waitress was so attentive, welcoming, friendly and hospitable. The place was so clean and nicely set tables perfectly spaced apart and a great temperature for a warm summer evening. We would have sat on the patio but it was a bit too warm. The patio looked so nice as well tho! But you also can't beat the inside atmosphere. I absolutely loved it. After a few beers for the table, we ordered a veggie panini, fettuccini Alfredo, and Melanzane pizza. Panini - fantastic, and even the dressing on the side salad was perfect. Alfredo - delightful. I used up every little drop on that plate to dip my bread into. Oh ya, did I mention they bring fresh bread out to the table. Nice to see a place that still does that! Pizza - so sooo good. The sauce was exceptional and the thin crust was ohhh so good. Everything we had was so fresh and flavorful. I bet you can order anything and it'd be a star. We don't save room for dessert but I'll have to come back because they have some delicious options. This is my new favorite spot in Ojai. read more

Must have been an off night. My whole table had their food and server forgot to put in my salmon and pasta. By the time the salmon made it out I had eaten part of the salad. GF Pasta came out delayed second and then after a much longer wait the salmon. Most of table had finished meal. Service was friendly. Just missed the mark with my meal. read more

We enjoyed this little restaurant tonight. The chicken picatta with spaghetti and sautéed spinach was really good. The Blanca pizza had spinach and artichokes made with the very thin Italian style crust. - delish! Farfalle pasta with chicken and vodka sauce - yummy. We also had a prosciutto buratta appetizer and ate all of it. One thing you should know is that they bring a basket of bread that is terrible. It is dried out, tiny slices, of a slightly yellow-tinted something. I would recommend that the restaurant do away with the bread, or just slice up a FRESH baguette and put that in the basket. To get something that bad before the meal tainted my anticipation for the main course. Also freshen up those croutons in the Caesar salads. They weren't worth eating either. read more

Ambience was nice and server was lovely. That said, I won't go back for a couple of reasons. 1. there was a fire in the fireplace, which could have been nice, but one of the staff kept adding cardboard boxes to it which lead to a lot of smoke and nauseating fumes. 2. The entrees were expensive and underwhelming. My wife and I were excited to try the Gorgonzola ravioli; however there was one tiny bit of Gorgonzola in each of the four large pieces of pasta. My mother chose the salmon pizza, which was dry flatbread with a few pieces of smoked salmon on top. In the upside - the desserts were really good. Three stars for service and desserts. Missing two more stars for the fire issue and the entrees. read more

We were staying at the Ojai Valley Inn and with few good restaurants open on a Wednesday and we were celebrating our anniversary so I picked Ca Marco and I m glad I did. It wasn't crowded and our server was very nice and friendly. We went with the Fondi Di Carciofo and on paper is very interesting and the end result was so good and flavorful. I also ordered the special gazpacho which was very fresh and flavorful. Our entrees we went with the Farfalle and the Pollo al Limone and both were very fresh and good. We took a slice of Tiramisu back to the resort and it was so moist! We'll be back when in the area! read more

Gonzalo provided us five star service this evening as we dined at Ça' Marco. The dining room is so beautiful as is the outside patio. The food is incredible, always. I had the mushroom ravioli tonight and my husband had a simple spaghetti marinara as he is vegan. A bottle of wine and the limoncello desserts topped off the evening. I have absolutely no complaints about anything. Gina was a wonderful addition to the evening. She steered me in the right direction as far as making great food choices. What a lovely restaurant, I was a bit skeptical since it's a small town but loved that there are a ton of options for everyone. My friends and I were in town for a getaway and wanted a cute dinner and it was definitely accomplished here. The staff was so nice as well. We ordered a few things, I can't remember all of the names but the ravioli, chicken lasagna and the baked penne pasta was sooo delicious our plates were licked clean. We did order a pepperoni pizza but being from LA I've had better, but it was good. And for dessert, we got the tiramisu, crème brûlée and peach sorbet. The peach sorbet is very potent but if you like the flavor you will enjoy. Will definitely be back to visit! read more

Awful. Dreadful. A new low in dining. Terrible service. Had to ask for bread three times before they brought it out, and it was just flavorless, awful bread. Asked for butter, the two packets of butter that they brought out were literally melting in the container in which it was served, it made a mess of the table to even put it on the bread. Where the heck was the butter stored, next to an oven! The ravioli was served with not just room temperature marinara, it was literally chilled. The pasta itself, not much warmer. Likewise, the pizza we ordered was lukewarm when it was served, and pretty much room temperature by the time a couple of pieces had been consumed. We didn't stick around after the entrees, we were just happy to get out of there. Seriously, one of the worst meals we've ever had. Go anywhere east in Ojai for food! read more

Ordered through Door Dash and it was possibly the worst Italian food I've ever had.. the fettuccini Alfredo tasted like old pasta water and had no flavor. The pizza was super salty and the crust was dry and broke into hard crumbs when taking a bite. $60 for pasta and pizza is already insane but I'm willing to pay anything for a spectacular meal. We were looking for an Italian meal and decided to give Ca' Marco Ristorante Italiano a try. The outside of the restaurant is plain and unassuming. The interior has a quiet elegance and is pleasant. Ambiance -- The windows are dressed with attractive multiple tieback curtain window treatments. Thankfully we were seated next to a window as it looked dark across the room. The tables are covered with white tablecloths for the dinner seating. Service -- The restaurant was not busy, yet it took a long time to be given menus after being seated. After we placed our order, the bread and drinks arrived promptly. It took more than 30 minutes for our entrées to be delivered to our table. We asked for lemon for our sparkling water and a plate of 3 small, elderly appearing lemon pieces was delivered to our table. Food -- We ordered 2 pasta dishes for lunch. Fettuccine al Gamberi e Limone was quite good with a nice hint of lemon in the cream sauce. The Spaghetti alla Puttanesca was just ok, as the sauce was to be spicy, but it was rather plain. The kitchen could have done a more pleasing job on plating the food. Prior to receiving our main course, we were served some lightly toasted stale bread along with old cruets of very thick olive oil & inexpensive tasting balsamic vinegar. We asked for parmesan cheese for our pasta dishes, and were brought a very processed commercial parmesan cheese in a pizza parlor shaker, rather than freshly grated Parmigiano-reggiano cheese that one usually receives in finer restaurants. Valentine's Day disaster. This is not an Italian restaurant - we have dined from Venice to Cinque-Terre and from Parma to Rome. A pearsauce gorgonzola salad $19 - on a 6" plate with 7-8 small pieces of leaf lettuce with 3 small candied walnuts and not gorgonzola cheese but rather aired-out feta???? Calamari with tomatoe sauce - $26 - uncooked, tough pieces of squid sitting in a sloppy goop of polenta and some non-descript red drizzle???? Have no idea how any restaurant could serve such a mess. Lasagna??? $32 - I don't think so!! No lasagna noodles used in layers and whatever it was came on the 8" plate. It looked more like a melted queso dish you might get off a food truck at a construction site. Wine list just strange - one Chianti Classico - the 1 oz. taste we were permitted was unsippable and nasty - not a single bottle of wine under $56.00 and almost all of them unrecognizable and not one with a DOCG label. Again - not an Italian ristorante. The staff couldn't even keep any kind of flame lasting more then 5 minutes in their fireplace. One of the most overpriced, worst restaurants we have ever endured - a couple next to our table (like 2' apart from us - talked about crambed in) - didn't even finish their slice of tiramisu - they got up and walked out on a dessert!! Oh, if you have a weak bladder - this place has only 1 restroom for 40-50 patrons. Do not waste your money at this place - go 2 miles up to Boccali's and get real Italian food prepared by Italians!! read more

Typical bread service...but hot bread is always good...am I riiiight? Good wine selection and lovely view across the highway from the Pacific Ocean! Service: First attempt to dine, we just walked in. No dice. We made a reservation for the following evening. Although we ate a bit later than usual...it was worth it. Relatively prompt, very professional and attentive. Ambiance: Definitely romantic. Small, close tables are surprisingly quiet and lovely. Tablecloths, cloth napkins, "authentic" candles and hushed conversations. Small bar in the corner. Very sweet little restaurant. read more

We enjoyed a late Friday afternoon lunch. My husband had a marvelous hamburger and I enjoyed an equally delicious vegatarian pannini. This time, was a bit disappointing. I had the filet and my gorgeous traveling partner had a chicken dish and both were super salty! The caesar salad was good but not "out of this world" and our waitress could have taken a few lessons in the warmth department. We were heading to a concert in ojai Libby Bowl and wanted dinner before the event. We selected this restaurant because we enjoy Italian food and wanted something local. We were pleasantly surprised at each food course which were paced well. The wines were equally excellent and the service was good - not great - but everyone is short staffed these days and it was very busy. The ambiance is wonderful - almost "frenchy" with soft white drapes and subtle colors. I'd return and recommend this spot to my friends. read more

If you're impressed by high priced tasteless Italian American food, then maybe you could bring the older folks who visit from the midwest here. Tasted like sweet canned sauce over bland pasta. Salads were average- no real innovative herbs or great hearty breads. The evening we tried Ca 'Marco was quiet...maybe one other small table & a larger group of 8 or so- but it seemed understaffed at that. Strange entry from the street & none from the back, so you'll have to make a little trek around the front. It's just that there's SO MANY more authentic Italian & Mediterranean restaurants between here (Ojai), Santa Barbara, Ventura & LA...it's a shame to have a meal that's just "meh" read more

Really like this place. Food and service were good, place has a great ambience. Our server was lovely and attentive. My Lasagne was great, as was my wife's Chicken Parm. A really nice experience. Only thing I would recommend is that they up their game on the bread front. The bread, both the complimentary bread that they bring to the table and the bread used in the bruschetta, are WAY sub-par, and are at odds with the quality of the dishes they serve. It's like reshaped Wonder Bread. Something crusty like true sliced baguette is definitely in order. Having said that, I want to reiterate that we really liked this place. read more

This is about a mile inland from the main walking area of Ojai. In all honesty, if this place was in town central, I think it would have a fifth star and twice as many ratings... The staff was extremely friendly, the food was very flavorful and they had great options, and the setting was very nice like a true Italian restaurant in Florence or Rome. Perfect setting for kids and they have great dessert options. I do wish they had more seafood options but aside from that, they had a pretty diverse menu and something for everybody. If I ever want a nice dinner in Ojai that is not where all the crowds are, this is your place. They have a main room that is very quaint and intimate which has a fireplace but they also have a private room that I think has about six tables or less. read more

I'm sorry to write this. Perhaps I'm not their ideal indulgent customer. But I went in for a plate of spaghetti and meatballs. I saw it was $27 and I thought ok, I'll splurge. I ordered it. Asked what drink I wanted I said a glass of water was fine. The small ball of spaghetti came and I had to ask for bread which apparently doesn't come with the food. Hmmm., I needed something more since the plate of food was small. They came out with a tiny basket of bread that was gone in 4 bites. After eating everything, even the crumbs, I was still hungry. So hungry in fact that I had to order an additional half plate of the same dish which ran me another $16. Seeing the bill they also charged me for the meager bread ration. That bill came out to $48 and change. With tip I paid $58 for one person. No drink, no appetizer, no dessert. Just enough spaghetti and meatballs to fill me up for $58. It was decent enough spaghetti, but I won't be going back. There are better options out there. read more

Nice atmosphere, quiet, good service, beautiful dining room. High expectations with a $200+ bill for two, with only one drinking and reasonable ordering. For one entree, "light tomato cream sauce" buried pasta and all ingredients under a sea of thick pasty sauce that was too rich and too much. Couldn't eat. Couldn't taste anything else. Asked kitchen to lighten the amount of sauce and dish came back with the sides wiped off but with smothered pasta intact. Took it all home, partially rinsed, and reheated. Tastes were ok but, at these prices, sous chefs should at least be instructed about the basics of preparing fine Italian food. We had a nice experience but if we go back, it will have become one of those places where we'll remember to ask questions and make cautionary notes to our server before we order. read more

My wife and I went here for our anniversary dinner. We split a Caesar salad which was delicious - you could definitely taste the anchovy without it being overwhelming. My wife had the fusilli and I had the lasagna. We both agreed that the mains were really, really good; bursting with flavor and well proportioned. The ambiance is lovely. They have an enclosed outdoor patio (with a fountain) and the indoor space has tables with white tablecloths and a fireplace for cool winter nights. It's also quiet which we love. The food is delicious and is some of the best food offered in Ojai. They also have a great wine list. And on top of all that the waitstaff is great. They're knowledgeable, very friendly and accommodating. My husband and I think Ca Marco offers an exceptional dining experience and we're Ojai locals! read more

This restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip to Ojai. We had amazingly attentive service and great food. Wifey had a pasta dish and I had the chicken Parmesan which was one of the best I have ever had. Wine was affordable and excellent. The place has a large outdoor patio (which wasn't in use for our January dinner- too cold), and an intimate dinner room with a REAL fireplace which was great! We were staying at the Capri Hotel, which was almost next door, so this place was very convenient for dinner on a Saturday night. read more
