Came here for dinner with friends who are regulars here. The cashier was very friendly and helpful with suggestions, since I had not been here before. I order the primavera pasta with rosemary chicken and pesto cream sauce, as well as a piece of garlic bread. The pasta was tasty and a huge portion but the chicken was a bit dry. Next time, I think I would order pizza as others in my group did and it looked delicious. There is limited seating inside but we were able to snag a table before our food arrived. Additional seating options are available on the patio but it was a bit too cold on that particular evening. The place is casual and prices were reasonable given how pricey some of the places in Ojai can be. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but the back little patio area is really sweet with tea lights, a fountain and lots of greenery. It's very pretty at night and has heaters. You choose from the menu at the front and then find your table. We had their chicken Alfredo which was large and good, the sausage and pepperoni pizza (I can't remember its actual name) and the beatnik salad, which was great. My coworkers and I came here on a gloomy tuesday so that we might joint together in communio and conviviality. We all thoroughly enjoyed the large serving sizes, especially our fat friend Max. Despite the weather, the flavors uplifted our stomachs. But spite the weather the ambiance was not as good as it could be, but I guess they can't control that. I absolutely love Papa Lennon's! I am vegan and am always excited to see non dairy cheese options at a pizzeria. The pizza was so yummy! I also got their strawberry lemonade, which is their lemonade with a scoop of strawberry gelato. It was so incredibly delicious I cannot emphasize that enough. We just moved to Ojai and asked the neighbors for a dinner recommendation. It ended us at Papa Lennon's and boy were we happy about it! It was a quick 10 minute drive from our new house. The front was super cute and welcoming. There was parking right across the street. We arrived around 5:45 and there were a few open seats on the patio; a moderate hustle and bustle of people enjoying a local favorite spot. There was a small party outdoors at one of the long tables and lots of other friends and families getting together. Every dish that was brought out was beautiful, smelled fantastic and was absolutely fresh looking. I'm sure there is no way to go wrong here since all the ingredients are so fresh and the food is clean. I had the vegetable panini which was bomb. The focaccia bread here is a must. The side salad with honey vinaigrette was a yummy treat as well. My fiancé had the bbq chicken pizza and was astounded by how fresh the ingredients felt and tasted. My father in law had the meatball sub which he said could have had a little more flavor but still delicious. The fries were great. My mother in law had the chicken vegetable soup which came out right away, and all of us were mouth watering over it. It smelled and tasted delicious. That's a must order when I come back next time. We weren't sure how things worked here. So we walked in and quickly gathered it was an order and then sit kind of restaurant. So we went to the vine walled patio (which was super pleasant and warmed with heaters) and got a table while one of us ordered at the front. Then our food came out one by one at different times. The vegetable panini took the longest, arriving about 5 minutes after the preceding dish (the meatball sub and bbq pizza). Well worth the wait though. I had to stand in line behind 7 people that were waiting to place orders. I stopped an employee walking by and said I was there to pick up my food. I was told that I had to wait in the one line. The only issues can be that it gets very busy so you need to be patient with the employees, and it can get low on seating. The inside of the restaurant and the patio are really nice. As I drove through Ojai, I came across this cute small hole in the wall restaurant. As I walked in, I was greeted by 2 of their friendly staff members. The inside was quaint with a few tables and the outside patio provided additional seating with sufficient shade from the trees. The menu had a good variety of appetizers, sandwiches, pasta and pizza. I ordered an oven roasted chicken with French Brie panini, that included a side salad, and it did not disappoint! Their focaccia bread was warm and soft and was seasoned perfectly with a layer of garlic aioli. The chicken was nice and tender, and with the melted Brie cheese and fresh cucumbers, this panini hit the spot. The Cesar salad had nice fresh crisp romaine lettuce with just the right seasoned dressing. The lemonade had a scoop of their raspberry gelato that was more on the sweet side, but still good. This place is like a small mom and pop shop where they take pride in their food by presenting it with quality ingredients. I will definitely be back to try their pasta and pizza. read more

This is pizza done right. Out in the rural town of Meiners Oaks, I wasn't expecting to find such fine food, but we were rewarded with some of the best pizza we've ever had. The toppings were fresh and plentiful, and the crust was toasty. The two pizzas disappeared quickly in front of our eyes. The salad did not disappoint either. There were an abundance of nuts and cranberries that provided a complexity of texture and taste to the leafy greens. The vinaigrette dressing went well with the whole concoction.
