Not only was the PM not on site at all except when the materials were dropped off, but I had to use Google translate to talk to the workers to ask questions because no one spoke English which made it difficult bringing up concerns. 2.) They busted one of my windows and cracked another. I brought it up and was told the windows would get replaced, but it's been over a month and they are still broken. 3.) Again it's been over a month and the leftover materials are still sitting in my yard. 4.) They also broke several planters and caused my power to go out which I normally wouldn't be upset about cause things happen and it was easy to cut back on but why not add this in with the rest of the complaints. If these things had been fixed, I wouldn't complain, but I've called several times over these 5 or so weeks and keep getting told it will be corrected within a few days, but it has not been. Sadly, i didn't research as much as I maybe shouldve. They bid about $3000 higher than 2 other quotes i had recieved (one of which was also a GAF certified roofer offering the same certifications) . After i signed, then they would not price match for some lame reason or even consider lowering the cost or including doing drip edge flashing which the other company offered to do at the lower price. Come to find out as well, they did not recommend it, or consider installing drip edge flashing when i didn't have any at all on the roof which i wasnt aware of. When the roof was off i could definitely see some fascia rotting adn damage, so i get to do that myself now instead of when its easiest to do with the roof off.... The actual roof itself seems to have been done well, which for the price it better have been. but I can't help but feel i overpayed and was underdelivered...

I recently had my roof replaced by Gilpin Roofing. This was my second time using this company.. I…read morehad no complaints about my first experience and often recommended them to friends who were looking for roofers. My second experience was not so positive. After contracting for a specific price, I was surprised when the invoice came in at $310.00 higher. Their contract specifically stated that any changes that resulted in additional costs would have to be signed off by both parties in writing. I was never informed of any additional charges. When I questioned it, the company gave me an inane response, telling me that this only applied to changes before the job started and the need for additional materials was only discovered after the existing roof was removed. Additionally, they stated, it was only a small percentage of the overall cost of the job so they did not have to get my approval for the upcharge. They did not honor the policy in their own contract. I am dissatisfied with that and their response. Also, I am still picking up nails which they were supposed to clean up. After the job was completed, they came to my house unannounced and and opened the gate and went into my back yard. My dog was outside and fortunately he did not choose this day to run away. I would think a professional with many years in this business would know better. I will not use or recommend this company again.
