Finally got to try Cabarrus Creamery! People are so nice, portions are big, ice cream is delicious. Will definitely be back.

Cabarrus Creamery is further evidence that there's nothing new under the sun and the quest for novelty is futility. I can't imagine that this shop has changed much since ever... Feeling a little anxious before a job interview and needed a calmative that wouldn't reflect badly on my character: showing up with MoonPie-breath could seem frivolous, cherried ice cream on a cake cone was a much safer choice by far. Didn't have to wait long for the magic to happen; fear and loathing melting away like cool creamy goodness on a too-warm and sunny spring afternoon. Icy cream does a body good. The cost:benefit ratio could easily lead to overindulgence but try to remember that nobody looks good passed out on a park bench in chocolate-stained chinos with jimmies stuck in their ironic reverse-soul patch.

fun old school creamery in downtown concord. The staff was helpful and encouraged sampling. The flavors were fun without being too funky. I enjoyed my cone and would be happy to come back anytime I am in the area.

Cutest ice cream shop! They have a lovely window display for Christmas and the vibe is retro inside. The ice cream is wonderful, very creamy and flavorful. Menu is pretty basic, but simplicity is sometimes best when you have a top notch product. Service was kind and helpful Can't wait to visit again soon!

Busy Sunday evening at the ice cream shop.

Despite the fact that I'm only just now getting to this review The Cabarrus Creamery is a place I've been to many, many times over the last 10 years. Pretty much the only difference from when I would visit back in high school is that the shop attached to the back of the building used to be an art gallery and now it's a crossfit gym. (A little ironic if you ask me.) This place is small, straight forward, and what they do they do well. They've been open since 1923 and from what I can tell they've kept that home town ice cream shop feel the whole time. Two long cases of ice cream make up the front counter, complete with windows to view your choice of around 25 flavors. They have a more traditional menu on the back wall, but there's a huge, colorful, hand drawn one that takes up the entire right side as you walk in. Two different kinds of cones, four sizes of cups, options for milkshakes and sundaes, and of course toppings galore. I usually go for a mint chocolate chip or cookie dough cup myself, but I've tried plenty of flavors and never been disappointed. The staff is great too, always attentive and happy to help. You know now that i think about it one other thing has changed, they accept credit cards now! They used to be cash only and I can only think of two ATM's in downtown Concord. Simple change, big improvement. The ice cream is delicious and the prices are pretty good too. It's a local hot spot for a reason, certainly worth a visit.

This place has been around for a long time. I used to come here after girl scouts when I was a kid and after doing research at the library as a college student. I used to carry cash with me just in case I got a craving. Now they have square, so I don't have to worry about whether I have cash or not. Their main flavors taste the same as they did back then. My favorite is mint chocolate chip. The mint ice cream is so bright and green that in a certain light, it glows. The chips are the thin square kind that don't break a tooth when you chew, and they aren't chunky so they don't break up the texture of the ice cream like other places' versions. The mint isn't ridiculously strong and you can still taste the sweet creamy base. It works well with other flavors so I wouldn't worry about putting it with others. As a kid I used to order the double now as an adult I order the kiddie. Their portions are pretty large for the price that you pay. And it is always wonderful reason to go to Downtown Concord.

I decided to try this place out since I was in the area and wanted something sweet, I'm glad I stopped in because I was very pleased. They had a good selection of ice cream and toppings, I tried the apple pie and banana pudding and did t need to try anything else, I was sold on those two flavors. The store 2as clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful mom definitely looking forward to going back and trying more flavors. I also hear there's a great bar/brewery upstairs that I also need to check out!

Pear sorbet on top. It's pretty okay. Pralines and cream underneath and it is freaking amazing.

Y-You must go and do yourself a favor and go. Just stop reading now and Go. We discovered this place because a coworker told my man about this place. We are a ice cream loving family and with no hesitation we went. This place is legit. There are only a few tables but there are also benches to sit on outside and one big bench on the inside. It can get crowded and the kids who work here are always so polite. When they are not serving customers, they are always cleaning. I like this fact a lot. The ice cream is hands down some of the best I have had in my life. Why go to a chain when you can support local shops and business? The chocolate is a deep chocolate flavor without being too sweet. The moon pie is amazing. Pralines and cream will change your life. Cherry Garcia is so good if that is your thing. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is the business. Rocky Road has lots of marshmallows and nuts. They have plenty of sizes and I feel that it is more affordable than those chain ice cream places. And hands down some of the best ice cream you will eat in your life.

This place was really good. This was my first time to this area and I was glad the ice cream was worth the drive. They have a good selection of ice cream flavors. You can get a cup, cone and even a cookie sandwich. They have sundaes and ice cream splits. If you want a protein shake, they have that too. I got a single scoop of fudge brownie ice cream with a waffle cone. It was really, really good. The ice cream had brownie pieces in it and it was amazing. The place has been around for a long time and area and creamery had a feel like I was in the past. Which was actually very cool. The staff was okay, but they were not bad at all. I just didn't get a very welcoming feeling from them. If I was in the area again, I would still stop back by, since ultimately I was there for the ice cream.

Very creamy Ice Cream. Not a lot of flavors, but both times I've been there, the people ha e been very nice. Lots of samples ;-) I went with the Fudge Ripple and the Peanut Butter Chocolate. Yum. I love that you walk through the ice cream place to get to the cross fit studio... lol. A sweet reward for a good workout ;-)

Another thing is it gets busy especially on the weekends. What this place need is more seating for outside especially when it's hot in the middle of the day or have sitting inside since people had to go in the car turn the ac on and eat in the car. Even though we were second in line, it took around 30 minutes just to get three simple ice cream orders. I'm not sure what was happening inside, but the wait was long enough that if we hadn't already paid, we probably would have left. They were also out of Oreos, so I couldn't get my usual Oreo Tornado and settled for cookie dough instead. Nothing we ordered was complicated, yet the service was extremely slow. Standing outside in 98‑degree heat made the wait even worse. I hope this was just an off day, because the ice cream itself is usually good -- but the service during this visit was disappointing and needs improvement.

If I don't have Andy's at least twice a week I go into a severe depression until I have a sundae or concrete in my hands! But seriously, the custard is silky smooth. It's made fresh hourly which I have witnessed several times by sitting outside the Andy's window and watching it slowly pour out from the machine. I've tried every single concoction they've made since moving to the Concord area a year ago. My favorites have been the cherry pie concrete, pumpkin pie concrete, chocolate cake sundae, blueberry cobbler sundae & concrete, lemon bar concrete and strawberry shortcake sundae. The shakes and sodas are amazing. Also, the cones are made fresh daily and really good. Best of all you can customize your custard any way you want which is great for cravings. I promised you that even if you get a simple cone or cup of Andy's frozen vanilla custard you will be hooked. I've had friends come from out of town and have their minds blown away by this stuff. Of course I joined the rewards program to get notifications on the new desserts that will be featured and get points for purchases. Who doesn't love free frozen custard for being a loyal customer. Needless to say I get those freebies quite often. Clearly I'm obsessed with Andy's. Depending on how long the drive thru line is, I usually take my Andy's to go, but on those hot summer nights there's nothing like sitting outside and enjoying my little cup of frozen heaven. At a glance the place is nice, they have free arcade games and a play area with a giant connect four game set up, so very kid friendly. The place could really benefit from a deep cleaning though. Table tops were cleaned, but the seats were dirty at the booths. My son just got a scoop of chocolate ice cream which he really enjoyed. The strawberry cheesecake roll was suggested and it was pretty good. Just for those two items I believe my total came up to about $16.19, so definitely not cheap.... I'm happy we gave this place a try, but realize there are much cheaper options in the area that serve really tasty treats, so not sure if we'll be back. They also offer boba tea and other treats.
