This was a first time experience and it well, first the ice cream was delicious and it had a huge variety as in ice with flavor syrup,banana split, and fun drinks, the one I got had a gummy shark, sprite, coconut, whip cream, and blue raspberry. Fun mom-and-pop ice cream store. When you first pull up here, you'd think it's a sketchy place but they take good care of it. They don't stay open too late so you gotta get here early. We were the last customers but the kids working here were so nice and friendly! Prices are so reasonable. The kids got the Little Blue Panda which is like cookie dough, Oreos and something else, and I got a sugar free flavor (I think it was strawberry?) So we went this evening for shaved ice and they were $3.50 which is fine but the flavor wasn't there. I got the Jamaica Me Crazy and after the first two or three bites all I could taste was water! During the summer this ice cream shop has customers lined up to the end of the road from their window!. On weekends and holidays they have more employees to help the wait not be as long. I would wait again with a group of people after visiting this time. The ice cream is worth it for us. It is an older style ice cream shop as it has been here many years. You place your order and then wait at the other window to take your ice cream to go. The service has really changed. All of the girls behind the window were very nice to my family. They gave them napkins and complimented us. There is plenty of soft serve flavors to try. A couple picnic tables to sit at. Yogurt and Sunday options too. This is an old style ice cream shop where you walk up to the opening and place your order. They sell soft serve and some hard ice cream. The tornados and twisters are my favorite because you can put any topping in the ice cream then they blend it. One is made with ice cream and the other is made with frozen yogurt. I buy a pup cup for my dog. Whipped cream with peanut butter topping seems to be the hit. This visit was much better than the last. They must have new staff. There are a few picnic tables to sit and eat. Most people don't stay. It's usually crowded so come prepared to wait a few minutes. It's worth it. I have never been disappointed yet. It's unfortunate the prices continue to go up but I get it. They have to survive like the rest of the businesses. Enjoy! read more

I have passed this place many many times, and there is always a long line. But today on this hot August afternoon I stopped in because the line was only "two" persons deep. My sister told me that they had really good ice cream, which is why I paid $9.50 for just two small soft serves with one topping. The ice cream tasted like [any] other soft serve. There was nothing significant about it at all. Whipped cream is extra, each topping is extra and you have to ask nicely for napkins. "The chocolate swirl machine is broken!" Proclaimed a large, poorly written sign. There are more handwritten signs that warn the customers "once something is passed through the window, there is NO EXCHANGE." There is no actual menu, per say, rather signs tacked all about. There is no specific appeal or niche to this place. And I wonder why the lines are so long! And there is a tip bucket.... To my genuine surprise, it overflowed. It's a drive up sort of deal. There is a single shaded park bench on one side of this place. The servers didn't wear masks, but they did have on plastic gloves. In the future I'd choose Papa Robs, Sweet Frog, Sonic even QT or any place with a soft serve machine, really. Two and a half to Three stars, but overall not terrible. read more

This place has been on the same corner for many years. During the summer there always seems to be a line of waiting patrons. People keep coming back so they must be doing something right. They sell soft serve ice cream, hand-dipped ice cream, snow cones, sundaes, banana splits, milk shakes, and all of the normal array of ice cream creations. This shop continues to disappoint me. I have been here about 6 times, 4 of which were just downright unpleasant. Each time I had a really simple order. A small hot fudge sundae, with it on top in a larger cup. They then complain that it will run over, after A STAFF MEMBER explains to me to order it the way i do so that there should be no problem. Each time I ordered this and tolerated the sole going my ice cream was already melted, the fudge the cooled, and I am handed what has become mushy slop, and am told that's just the way they do it even though I asked for it to be done the way most sundaes are. Worked for them as my first job back when I was sixteen (and in 7 years, I'm not surprised they haven't changed). I was fired after two weeks, because "I wasn't fast enough." If you're wondering why all of the employees are grumpy and uncooperative, trust me when I say there's a reason. Multiple reasons I will not be disclosing due to Yelp's Guidelines. However, in a consumer perspective, I will state this for common complaints: -There is no air conditioning in the building, which is why all of the ice cream is melted when you get it. -The twister/shake machine is a tiny metal blade stick that spins really fast to mix up said drink. The reason the cups are busted are because they mix the shake with your paper cup instead of something safer for the employees. -Before every employee clocks out, they have to clean with straight bleach. If your ice cream smells like cleaning product, this is why. -There is a cap to how much soap they are allowed to use when washing dishes. There is a sticker on the soap dispenser that only instructs to use "1/4 a pump, because this is not a charity!" -Every single person in the store has a different definition as to what a "scoop" of ice cream is. They do not train the employees to have the same common notion about this. Meaning, a baby or small scoop may be bigger for one of the workers, and smaller for another. This is only skimming the surface. I feel terrible for this place's poor employees. Please do not go here. read more

It reminds me of the old school Diary Queen off of Central in Charlotte....they have a few benches to sit on and a small coin merry-go-round for the kids...not sure if it actually works though.
