There were 2 or 3 performers and they all kept it entertaining throughout the whole night, they even got the audience to sing along to some of the songs. One thing I like about this piano bar is that they had a big screen to show the songs in queue, and I could tell when they didn't know a song too well they looked it up on their tablets before starting. This was a huge plus for me since the last paino bar I went to didn't attempt to learn the songs and just skipped songs even though people paid for them to get played. The reason for the 3 stars was more for customer service and the atmosphere. I brought a friend here after having dinner nearby because they never been. Like how the door handle has a hand instead of a handle or a knob. We go in and just like anyone who hasn't been in, in awhile or never been, we look around to check out the place. One customer assumed my friend was looking for an ATM and said it in a making fun of kind of way, had I overheard that I would've said something, I was further up checking out the whole place and the bar. We go to sit at the bar and browse their very limited cocktail menu. My friend orders an Appletini like drink, I order something with the name Garbage in it, came with a Red Bull. Unbeknownst to me I was supposed to turn the Red Bull can upside down in the drink. According to the bartender she didn't want to come off as rude if she were to tell me to do that. I don't like RB anyway. Even though the place was redone and looks great on the inside, the environment is not very welcoming of new/not regular customers. My friend won't be back, as for me not sure.

The jazz music was outstanding, the cocktails were excellent, and sitting at the bar felt like exactly where we were supposed to end up after a full day of bourbon education and questionable purchasing decisions. Yes, it was a little loud for deep conversation -- but honestly, that was part of the charm. It wasn't "quiet library cocktail lounge" loud. It was "great music, packed room, everyone having a good time" loud. Exactly what we wanted. Perfect cap to a Bourbon Trail day. I enjoyed the concert I went to - the venue was loud, lighting was good, and there was some outdoor space (with a second place to order drinks.) Close to the stage, people were dancing, moshing, and having a great time. In the back, there was room to enjoy with a little more space. My one gripe, I KNOW that alcoholic drinks at all concerts and venues will be overpriced but the only option for water was an $8 can. Just be aware if you plan to hydrate!

I wish I could remember our server's name because he truly made the experience. He handled the entire lounge area by himself and never missed a beat -- personable, knowledgeable, attentive, and incredibly efficient. We ordered a few cocktails along with the hush puppies, Cajun calamari, and Brussels sprouts. The drinks were fantastic, and while the appetizers were good, they weren't quite memorable enough for us to reorder next time. That said, we're definitely planning to come back and explore more of the menu. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend checking out Black Rabbit for yourself.
