No one came to get us and we finally asked if we could have one of the three empty tables and they said sit wherever you like. Not sure why they took our names and we waited 20 minutes for a table. Brisket sandwich was tasty, brisket Mac and cheese was delicious, the tater tot hot dish was fun but forgettable and I would avoid the fish. Great local sports bar with good food. The roasted cauliflower was delicious. If you are a fan of peanut butter you have to try the campfire burger. The spicy lingonberry was a great balance with the peanut butter. read more

Stopped for brunch with my Mom as Keys had a 45 minute wait. Started with the seared steak bites and they were awesome as usual. Had the biscuits and gravy and it was great too. Eh... The kitchen is closed, but apparently you can get food if you are a former employee and chat up the bartender. Good beer selection, but frickin LOUD. The tin ceiling elevates the db level significantly...even in a fairly empty bar. Nice people, though the bartender left her post for a smoke on the deck with no visbible backup. Great little bar located in White Bear. They have great food and great customer service every time I go. I usually order the campfire burger and I strongly recommend it. The fries here are great as well and have amazing seasoning! Only complaint I would say is that they close early. read more

We liked it, didn't love it but would go back for a second try. I had the fish fry which came with an overly generous portion of fries, I wish I'd had some slaw or something like that to balance it out. My husband had the brisket sandwich, which was more like individual smoked slices of brisket. The tater tots were pretty good. The cheese curds were fine. The star were the mini donuts, hot and sugary with a chocolate sauce that wasn't even needed. It was kind of on the expensive side. That being said, I will give it another whirl. First time visiting this place. Unassuming, plain Jane dive on outside, very nice on inside. I had their bacon 3 way burger. Bacon infuse 1/2 lbs patty cooked to your liking. Ordered medium, received medium. Then the put candied bacon and jalapeño bacon on top with some Gouda cheese. Holy crap it was a good burger! Fries were great too. Had never been here before and it was a great experience. Friendly and attentive staff, unique but accessible menu, and super clean dining area and bathrooms. On to the food and drink. We ordered the elote dip, deviled eggs, the Gouda burger and the Nashville chicken sandwich. All were really, really good. Excellent beer and cocktail list. The breezy outdoor dining was perfect for a summer meal. While this is way out of the way for me, I'll definitely come back and try other things. I thought I would try this place out because I felt like a good burger. I was very disappointed. The burger was average to below at best. The bun underneath was soggy. They charge a dollar for each extra ingredient to build your own and the tater tots were not good. I would have rather went to Red Robin (meaning that even a chain has a better burger). The burger reminded me of a bad Slater's 50/50 burger. I don't get how these places open up and they are not good, but people still go there, but then again people like Applebee's burgers. Went on a Saturday night at about 8 pm. Place was packed. Great atmosphere and ambiance. Excellent choices on the menu food was delicious. It did take over an hour to get the food because of how busy and a short staff. However they graciously took money off the bill because of the long wait. There was no complaining needed and was offered. This is how an establishment should be. Fantastic people in my book and best food in white bear in my opinion. Cabin 61 has good food and reasonable prices. I have been there several times. However, I was extremely disappointed to witness a group of about 12 senior citizens come in and the bartender said "they should have called first." It was a weekday, the restaurant was not busy and the seniors heard the comment and promptly departed for another restaurant where their patronage would be appreciated. read more

I ordered the tater tot hot dish, the hamburger was raw and was told by the host the color was due to the ingredients in the hot dish, our waiter told the host he'd take care of it. I've made a lot of tater tot hot dishes with good brown/cooked hamburger so definitely knew it was raw. I then ordered the Lumberjack BLT this was ok except for the pork belly. To start the crabcakes, brocolli and cheese corquetes, truffle deviled eggs, and vinegar salt chips were delicious appetizers. The owners did a complete 180 with this place! What was once a place where your feet stuck to the floor and possible need for antibiotics has become a beautiful gem of WBL. The chefs, servers and owners are upbeat and friendly. The Friday fish fry is wonderful and I have yet to have anything I didn't enjoy. Great crab cakes and love fried capers on top miss the bingo and pull tabs and the little bar burger was the best.

Don't let the exterior chase you off, it look like a funky old north woods bar which is fine. But inside it has been updated with an interesting menu. The service was excellent too! Try the pork belly stuffed jalapeños! read more

The atmosphere here is pleasantly laid back, but the service and food quality fell short. We ordered a few food options, with mixed reviews. The truffle deviled eggs were well flavored, but a bit rubbery in texture. The Korean BBQ ribs had potential, but were over salted. The brisket sandwich was worth ordering. The lobster mac & cheese was absolutely inedible. It was unfortunately fishy and resembled a Velveeta boxed meal, making it the worst I have ever eaten in an establishment. The waitress seemed to notice that it had been pushed aside after barely been touched, glancing at it a few times, but ignored inquiring about it and didn't return until we asked for the bill.
