Food 4/5: the green beans were light and crispy. The ranch was my favorite dipping sauce but the other sweet and sour sauce was also an interesting (positive salty sweet) compliment. The poutine was very heavy overall. The complement of the curds with the gravy and meat was good, but could be a meal in itself. The kids got the pizza and a burger, both portion sizes very large. The fries were very crispy! I got the power bowl. The lettuce was soaked in dressing, which the dressing had good flavor it was just too much. I would get it again but ask for dressing on the side. Service 5/5: our waitress was quick and attentive. Ambiance 5/5: we sat in a booth which gave us nice partitions from the people on both sides of us. Picked out this spot because it was in close proximity to Sprinkles. Spoiler alert - it ended up being closed, but we enjoyed our dinner. Service was basic, but accurate. I appreciated being able to customize their fried chicken sandwich. Switched it up to a grilled chicken breast and buffalo style. Their fries are zesty and surprisingly good. They give you some free pub chips while you wait for your meal which is pretty cool. They have a happy hour starting at 8pm that includes some discounted apps and beverages. A friend and I decided that Roseville/Falcon Heights would be a good "middle ground" to meet for a mid-week lunch. Stout's Pub appeared to be a sound choice as the meeting place for our long overdue lunch. We arrived around 11:45 to a sparsely occupied restaurant that didn't reach 40% occupied for the 90+ minutes we spent there. We each ordered flatbreads...the Margherita and Bacon/pickle/mozzarella (see photo). They arrived quickly and I soon found out why. Both were only "warm." The ingredients appeared fresh but the crusts on both were soft...definitely not "flatbread crispy." Disappointing. Our agenda prevented us from sending them back to the kitchen so there was plenty left on the plates to show something was not right. Service was OK. The place, including restrooms, was clean. An outside area would probably be a nice place to relax with friends when the weather is appropriate. Just be certain your "Crispy" flatbreads are "crispy." Based on this experience, my second time in the past month or so, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit Stout's. read more

Tons of TVs all over the place, as well as pull tabs available to play. Our food was good, the walleye tacos were delicious, a little zing to them and the chips were thin and crispy. Our burgers were good, we both thought our double patties were a tad dry, but the toppings definitely brought the flavor, especially that goat cheese. They have a large menu, tons of appetizers, burgers, salads and other entrees. The service was just fine, no complaints there at all. Visited Stout's Pub after ladies golf league since it was nearby. It was my first time here, though the other gals in the group had high praises for the place. We arrived a little after 7pm and were seated right away. The service was friendly, but overall I felt it moved at snails pace, especially because it didn't seem very busy. We shared a few items including the chicken tenders with BBQ and honey mustard sauce, Thai chicken flatbread, and raspberry chicken salad. Food was decent overall. One thing I noticed is several tables around us had a cup filled with chips, but we never got any, so I'm not sure if that's a standard thing or if we were overlooked. We had a few different items and were happy with all of them. For an appetizer we started with the cheese curds (tasty) the fried green beans (very good) and our favorite...the Cauliflower Wings! We LOVED those! Nice place with a lot of TVs. We bellied up at the bar and it was really quiet so we received service right away which was nice. I had the roast vegetables and Jason had the stout dip. My boyfriend and I stopped in here for some appetizers and were pleasantly surprised. The pub has the perfect in between feel. You could go for a nice evening out, or a casual lunch/appetizer date on a Wednesday afternoon like we did. We sat down and were greeted immediately by the bartender, Ben. He was definitely our style. He didn't bother us while we were eating or talking but was always aware in case we needed something. All we had to do was look his direction and he was on it. If we did want to talk he was all about it. I love staff who are able to read the energy and match it! We obviously had to order Cajun Dry-Rub Wings and Cheese Curds. If we weren't having a great time already, these sealed the deal. The wings were REALLY good. I've had a lot of bar wings and these are definitely up there. The curds too...Wow. I also decided to have a Blue Mule cocktail and it was incredible. I am not a fan of drinks that taste like the alcohol they contain. I didn't have that problem at Stout's. Another bonus? They give you a little mug filled with extra crispy potato chips. That's my type of place. The guy with the salt and pepper hair...first he got super pissed at customers, then he was mad at his servers, then he talked S**t about customers in front of other customers. Too many IPAs, not enough variety. We ordered their wood fired Nachos and they were pretty tasty. The dish itself seemed rushed as the pork wasn't evenly distributed and the cheese was heavier in certain parts of the dish. Tacos were actually really great and loaded with meat. The flavoring was subtle which gave way to topping them with their house salsa. My boyfriend loves the burger but was disappointed in the fry presentation. My visit to Stout's Pub was a little unusual because I was part of a very large group. I never saw a menu because we all had to choose from six options days in advance. My choice was their Margherita flatbread pizza. I've never had a Margherita on a flatbread crust before, but I was pleased with what I got. The flavors were good and the flatbread had a satisfying crispness without being crunchy. I've had better, but I liked it and would order it again. My Bloody Mary was also well-made. Our server took about 5-10 minutes to get to our table. We gave her both our drink and food order. She went back to place the order and eventually brought my diet Coke but admitted the bar was swamped so it might be a little longer for my buddy's drink, Spirit Free Smash. The food came out fairly quickly. My buddy ordered the raspberry chicken salad and I ordered the patty melt with cole slaw. Our server had forgotten my mustard so when she came back I got maybe half a compote cup of mustard which was not enough. She asked if everything "looked okay" but never came back to check on the quality. My buddy admitted later there wasn't enough dressing on his salad and he wasn't impressed with the overall flavor. My patty melt was another thing - it was a mess. The grilled onions needed more fire, the burger needed just a little more time on the grill and the sandwich construction was sloppy. We had a third join us and she took a long time to come back. He ordered a beer, water and chicken wings. The beer he ordered was out (you think the server should have known that) and after she placed the replacement beverage, she brought only the beer, then had to be reminded about the water and I had asked for another diet Coke and she forgot that, too. My buddy who ordered a beer wanted a second beer but our server never seemed to be around so he went to the bar and ordered it directly and paid cash for it. I couldn't finish my burger and after another wait to get our checks, we all wanted to get out of there. This wasn't a disaster but it wasn't impressive by any means. I won't be back. read more

Came here for a get together with my friends. None of us have been here before so it was a new experience. I was first to arrive and got us a table. Inside I was impressed by all the various decorations and the overall interior. The place felt really warm to the feel and the eye. We all ordered different things. One of my friends got the Onion Rings to start and I ordered Wings. The Onion rings were big cut and the batter was crunchy and not oily. The wings were not too impressive as they were small, probably 1,2 or 3 biter wings. For food I was at a huge delay. I was trapped between the Ribeye Sandwich or Pizza. From where we were seated we could see into the back and notice there is a pizza oven present. I really wanted to order a pizza but decided on the Ribeye instead. Next time I will get a pizza. The Ribeye Sandwich was good. I ordered it rare with fries. It arrived rare just like I requested and the fries were yummy. The Sandwich, much to my disappointment, was actually an open face sandwich so I wouldn't get my chance to eat it like a sandwich. Besides that though it was a good steak. Overall I think this is a good place to come for drinks and bar food. I have been here a few times. Food is okay, nothing that really drives me to go there besides there Happy Hour is pretty good. Happy Hour is from 3pm-6pm and 9pm until midnight. There are various drink specials and food specials. They have a variety of beers and if you want a sample just ask! What I love about the booths there is that there is a little magnet board with TONS of words, and it is fun to kill time with friends rearranging the phrases. Artichoke dip is super good!! I had never heard of Stout's before a couple of weeks ago. Met up as a family to grab some dinner together in Roseville and chose Stout's. We'll start out with the draft selection... it was very solid. Quite a number of beers available. Really enjoyed a couple of options that we on nitro the night I was there. We then ordered mostly burgers at our table and I must say the burgers were good overall. I think the best one is the burger with the pulled pork on top of it. Some of the burgers were a bit dry but you didn't notice that at all with the pulled pork on top of it. Overall Stout's is good. I went to Stouts because it is perfectly between my house and a friend's house. It was a meet-in-the-middle-because-we-need-drinks-after-finals-kind of thing. I started with one of their holiday drinks. It was weird-apple pucker, rumchata in a stout beer. I don't think I would order that again, but I do think it could be improved if you swap out apple pucker for fireball. But what do I know? I am no bartender. They had a good beer list and I stuck with that after the festive drink. Stouts is a big place, and I enjoy their decor. Our waitress was great. She was super nice, funny and prompt. I think at one point we invited her to join in on our dinner. Speaking of dinner, I got the pork tacos. I love tacos more than life itself, and these were okay. I liked that they crisped the tortillas and the pork was good. They had a big onion taste though that lingered in my mouth for the rest of the night even after a toothbrush.
