I had Best buy Carpet and Granite come install my hardwood floors on a concrete slab (paid for a full spread) they sent couple subcontractors to do the job, they used the wrong trowel size by manufacture recommendation voiding my Bellawood hardwood floor warranty ($5000 hardwood floor), they damaged the hardwoods during installation that is just the beginning they had glue all over my walls and denting my freshly painted walls. I had paid 75% deposit, when i talked to the owner about the issue he threatened me to put a lien on my house if i didn't pay the rest immediately he refuse to fix any of my issues this is the worst experience i ever had with a company i will stay away from this company. read more

After a countertop company in Naperville messed up the quartz once, and it had to be redone, we learned the first company didn't know how to install 18" sinks in my vanity. Instead of telling me this, the first company said the wrong sinks were ordered, then installed 15" sinks without my consent. 15" sinks were just too small and difficult to use. We reached out to Best Buy Carpets and Granite and Ricky came to our house on the date and time he said he would be over. He was very professional, measured, and confirmed 18" sinks would definitely fit in our vanity. We received a quote to have Best Buy Carpets and Granite come to remove the countertop, take it to their shop, cut bigger holes for larger sinks, and reinstall. Juan and Manuel came out on the date and time I was told, and removed the countertop. As they loaded it in their truck, they noticed some things that may be concerning when trying to cut the sink holes larger. Jamin called and we went to the warehouse to discuss our options - even the warehouse manager was there to assist. Eventually we decided then best thing to do was get a new countertop. Juan and Manuel installed the new countertop on the date and time they said they would. The marbling lines match up, the sinks are 18", the caulk they used where the countertop meets the backsplash is clear instead of white, and the countertop actually feels smoother than one from the previous company. Oh, and it was around $300 less. Best Buy Carpets and Granite respected my time, and never had me waiting and wondering when they would arrive. I always had a quick response from Jamin or Adrian when I called. Their invoice is detailed with the part number for the sinks we requested and other pertinent information, they were courteous, respectful, and the countertop is simply beautiful. We are so happy with our new countertop and the 18" sinks! I highly recommend Best Buy Carpets and Granite. It was truly a wonderful experience. read more

As soon as we experienced issues with our installation, Best Buy Interiors greatly missed the mark. They became hard to get in contact with & not proactive at all in trying to resolve the damages done to our home during install. Herb, one of the owners, made a big deal about giving me his cell phone, asking me to send pics of the damage, arranging a time for him to come out and inspect with the crew, etc. Not only did he not show up, but then when I sent over the quote for repairs he never responded and I had to email and call the store multiple times for response. When they finally said they would cover the costs, they then proceeded to charge my credit card for my remaining balance without waiting for my call back and the kicker was--they didn't cover the full repair amount. I had to call them and ask for a check for the remaining amount of the repairs. Not impressed with the customer service provided by the owners, the sales team, or the installers. My favorite part of this experience though: when the installers looked at all the damage they did to our walls and said "it's okay your painters will fix it!"...what painters?! read more

From the first time I walked into the showroom to the very end of the installation of my granite countertops I was impressed by the friendly and helpful customer service this business offers. I had been shopping for this project for months and I had been to several showrooms, and at a few I felt they were either overpriced or the sales people were indifferent. A coworker had used and recommended BBCG. At the showroom Rodica helped me select my granite with knowledgeable advice. She then met me at the warehouse to look at the slabs and later offered to meet me again. I later waivered on what we selected that first day, but thankfully I ended up choosing what she had originally suggested. The guys at the warehouse were great; I visited several times deciding on my kitchen and powder room countertops. Each time they were very friendly and helpful and I never felt rushed or like I was being a pain. After I selected my granite, Juan came out to make the templates and he couldn't have been more professional or exacting. He also was able to reassure me that the template packed with my cast iron sink would work even though Kohler's customer service was not as helpful! The guys that came out to install my countertops did a great job. The seams are a work of art and blend in so well you really don't notice them unless you run your hand across them. When I wasn't happy with my powder room granite piece, they came out and swapped it out for another piece with no additional charge AND with such an astonishingly great attitude, I was really 110% satisfied. read more

I needed my carpet replaced really bad. I have just recently became a mother to two puppies and didn't know one thing about potty training. My puppies would decide to run into my bedroom and use the carpet as a pee pad. On top of that my bedroom door doesn't really close because of the latch thing on the door so when I would leave for work my puppies would break into my bedroom and do their business on my carpet. I would get my carpet professionally cleaned at least once every two weeks because I couldn't commit or couldn't find a carpet company that would give me a good price on replacing my carpet. OK, so I had this total mess with Luna. We bought one carpet and then they tried to install the same LOOKING carpet, but not the same quality. It was bait and switch, high pressure sales tactics and other junky stuff not worth discussing. The point is this: TRUST in your company really matters. In the middle of this mess, when we went in to Best Buy Carpets, EVERY SINGLE employee was first class. Receptionist, carpet specialist and even the manager. No pressure, no games, just solid. It is the kind of company that you WANT to support! It is a rare thing when you WANT to support a business. These guys are family owned, real people, who have integrity. So rare and refreshing. We all want a good deal too. Their prices were great and ended up being way lower than Luna. As a tip: know that the key isn't price per square foot. It is actually price per ACCURATE square foot... The key is too make sure they don't charge you for too many square feet! For example, at Luna they wanted to charge us for 980 square feet. At Best Buy Carpets they charged us for 807!!! THAT is why integrity matters so much... To give you just one other incredible example of how they went the extra mile for us, let me share what the manager did for us. Because we didn't have carpet (thanks to Luna mess) and had company coming THAT NIGHT, we asked if there was any way they could let us just have a piece of carpet for the guest room so people wouldn't have concrete floor over the holidays. At NO CHARGE the manager was able to immediately call the warehouse, find a piece AND have the gang DELIVER IT TO OUR HOUSE FOR FREE. Seriously?! Now can we just give a round of applause to family owned business owners who actually care like that?!?!?! We contracted to put new granite in a couple bathrooms. They tore out the old leaving big holes in the drywall. I was concerned when they put up the splashguard that the holes in the drywall would still be visible. They measured the splashguard wrong and had to come back a couple days later. When they came back they jammed the splashguard in used gobs of clear caulk to try and cover it and then quickly left. They even left granite shards all over the driveway. It looks horrible. We selected Sea Grove quartz by Cambria. They were installed perfectly. The counters turned out better than I even imagined. Definitely would recommend Best Buy Carpet and Granite to anyone. The price was also great too. We had a contractor quote us almost double what we ended up paying. Sales people are great. Installation of our counter was terrible. The seam is completely unacceptable. It looks like the counter was gouged with a screwdriver and someone tried to fill it in with epoxy. We brought this problem to their attention immediately. The owner came out to look at it nearly three weeks later. He is standing by this shoddy work. If I get a third party to state (in writing) it is a bad job, then he may do something about it. We have $10k invested in new counters with a huge eyesore. Stay away!!! read more

Brian Berson, the assistant store manager & salesperson I dealt with, is a blatant liar. First of all, when I called to get a measure and quote for the carpet I had chosen, he quoted me for a higher quality carpet without telling me. That amount was $1000 more than what I had asked for. It was the same color name but I had given him the exact name of the one I wanted and he acted like it was a mistake when I caught him (when he sent me a contract to order the carpeting), He also assured me that the City of Naperville trash would take the old carpet away with no problem. We scheduled installation when trash pickup was the next day. When they did not take it, I called and left a message for hime that he did not return. When I called back at the end of the day and got him on the phone, he just played ignorance, "I don't know why it wasn't taken away". It turns out I will have to pay a charge of $22/cubic foot to get it hauled away and it has been in the street for over a week already I find it impossible for someone in the business less than a mile from the installation address to not know this up front. Stupidly, I had them install the carpet while I was out-of-town and he assured me that the the installation crew would be responsible and that I would have nothing to worry about. They left all the lights on and the a/c turned down real low. I would not have known if a neighbor had not notified me of this days later. Be careful if you are considering using Best Buy Carpet- these people make it all sound great but they don't deliver what they promise. read more

There was a small bleach stain in the master suite carpet that needed to be repaired so I thought if brought a spare carpet sample and explain what I needed done there wouldn't be an issue. Meh, I was wrong. The salesperson told me there was no way to fix this and that I'd need new carpet installed (seriously, for a 1x1 bleach stain). He went on for a good five minutes going over their current promotions and then started quoting prices. So for something as small as a bleach stain, I would have to spend over $1,000. What a shyster! After that ordeal, I went down the road to another carpet store where the friendly and knowledgeable staff assisted me...and quoted me less than $100 for the carpet repair! read more

After spending days with a salesperson here at the store and then meeting with the man who did the measurements, I finally decided to have this company do the floors at my daughters condo. When I go over to set a date and put down my deposit I reviewed what was going to be done. At this time I questioned an item that was on the sheet of a quote that I already received and she says that's wrong and it will be 500.00 more. I said that this is a joke that you wasted my time and energy. I asked what if I had given my deposit without checking it over and she said it would be on her because it was her mistake...( maybe the owners should train their help better). Than after all this she tried to tell us it was our mistake REALLY ??? Most reputable businesses would have honored the quote but not this place. I will file a complaint against this business with the BBB but in the meantime please be careful with doing business here. This was our first time purchasing granite countertops. After shopping the big box stores our salesman at Best Buy was fantastic. He was extraordinarily patient and let us look and touch and think until we were ready to call him back over. He was well versed in the various styles of granite, as well as the various man-made material options. He tried hard not to sway our decision based on his own opinion (no matter how much we asked), but kept helping us work through the pros and cons. Most surprising was they have their own warehouse down on Schoger and he really insisted that we go down and look at the actual slabs of granite before deciding on one based solely on a sample in the store. Both in the store and in the warehouse they were very eager that we get what we want and if we didn't see a slab we liked they gave us the names of multiple other warehouses (other wholesalers). If we preferred what we saw in a different warehouse they would buy it from them and use it for our installation. (We did go to another wholesaler in Joliet, which helped us decide on one we saw back at Best Buy.) The last cool thing they did was offer to have us come down and work with the guys doing the layout of our countertop templates on the slabs - something I strongly advise any purchaser of natural stone to do. No natural stone is perfect nor symmetric. If you opt as we did for what's called "movement" granite, you are buying a gloriously unique and totally wild pattern of shifts, lines and veins of multiple colors. It is very important to be happy with, say, what section is going to be the very visible end of your peninsula, or what direction a vein of golden quartz flakes with take across your kitchen. The fabricators laid everything out with blue tape until all our pieces across two slabs were just the way we liked it - grateful for their expert advice as well. The installers were great. They did a lot of tweaking of our cabinets to make sure the granite would be level and supported in all directions. (I had pulled out the old formica countertops myself - what a mess.) They were very meticulous and did a fantastic job - as did the people at Best Buy who cut and finished our granite. It is absolutely gorgeous. I recommend Best Buy to anyone considering granite countertops. And I plan to go back for a tile flooring job soon. read more

This was a terrible experience. Everything I asked them to do with the tile they did the opposite. I was very specific with the sales person and spent over an hour going over the details and nothing was communicated to the workers so I went over it with them and then they did what they wanted and said well now the tile is on the tub walls there is nothing we can do. They even over charged me on the amount of tile that was used. I would not recommend them to anyone and I would say stay away! Not a good experience at all. read more

We recently purchased cabinets and granite here and could not be happier. Our salesman Brian was great to work with and was very patient with meeting our requirements. The cabinet installation went smooth, however one cabinet was damaged and needed to be replaced. The guy at the granite shop (Marcus I think) and the installer worked together so that our granite could be installed prior the cabinet being replaced so that we could have a functional kitchen while we waited for the one cabinet to be installed Our cabinet came in and they installed it right away. I first visited the shop Saturday, January 31st to see their offering and schedule a home measurement and estimate for cabinetry for three bathroom remodels. I spoke with Brian, though sporadically as he kept attending to other customers and really never focused on or gave great service to any of us. I went ahead and scheduled him to come out to my house Wednesday, February 4th. When Wednesday arrived, I called the store 30 minutes AFTER our appointment to find out where Brian was. Well he was at the store, claimed he'd gotten caught up with a customer. We rescheduled for Saturday February 7th. He was on time on Saturday however, in the process of trying to apologize for Wednesday, he says "I snoozed the appointment on my phone but I don't think I was doing anything important, maybe Facebook or something." What?!! I could NOT believe he said that to a potential customer. However I decided to give him a chance and see what he came back with for ideas and estimates. He assured me I'd have those by early the next week February 10th or 11th. Of course the 10th and 11th came and went.....I called HIM on Saturday February 14th. He claimed to have had a "computer glitch" and had tried to call me the 13th. I had received no calls or messages. But he assured me he'd have the numbers by the end of the day.......that was nearly 3 weeks ago and nothing......extremely disappointed. read more

We have used the company for all our carpet, granite and hardwood flooring needs for the past 8 years. When we needed work on our current home Best Buy Carpet and Granite was our go to place. We had opened up a doorway and they told us to blend the hardwood perfectly they would have to screen and finish the two rooms on either side of the doorway which we complied. After only 6 months the finish is literally peeling and scratching off before our eyes. They sent two supervisors to see the flooring on two separate occasions, the first said there was too much poly on the hardwood and that it wasn't screened properly. Two weeks later another supervisor came and said they didn't let the first layer dry completely before applying the second coat that they would have to refinish the floor because it was their mistake. Well next the owner came to our home told us he would credit us what we spent the first time but to fix the problem they had to refinish the floor and that would cost us an additional $1,200. basically we would have to pay for their mistake. Three days later he called us and said he changed his mind our hardwood was "DEAD" and he wouldn't fix it because he didn't feel he could make us happy. Well after spending thousands of dollars with the company over the past 8 years we were shocked that he would rather give us money back then fix the problem. We went to GREAT WESTERN FLOORING who said it was nothing wrong with the wood it wasn't dead and charged almost half the price they charged us to refinish our floors and fix Best Buy Carpet and Granite's mistake. You would think after years of our loyalty the company would have used better integrity and fixed what they ruined but I'm sorry to say that was not the case. read more
