Contacted Cabinets to go in early 2021 to get a quote on cabinets and Elizabeth Jessen reached out and sent me a follow-up e-mail but after that, I did not hear back from her until I reached out to customer service to find out why I never heard anything back from her. This was a bad sign so I put ordering my cabinets on hold for a while. After looking around I decided to give Cabinets to Go another try and once again worked with Elizabeth but this time she was responsive and got back to me in a timely fashion. I wonder if her attitude changed since and realized I was a serious buyer. I order my cabinets and was told about this outstanding warranty which sold me. My cabinets arrived but due to COVID19 and other family emergency deaths in the family my project got put on hold and I was not able to build everything as I planned right away. At the start of April, I finally was able to build my cabinets and found out that one cabinet had a cracked front, another had a broken cam lock and another one was missing all the pieces to put it together. I contacted Elizabeth who told me that she will put in a claim to get them replaced but that claim was denied and I was told that I could buy replacement parts if I wanted to even do the cabinets have a warranty and craftmanship is included in the warranty. I spent over 8k on cabinets and they want me to spend more to get fix what their QA people did not catch. Elizabeth has wiped her hands of it, and so has their customer service team. Beware that they don't care about the customer and just care about the bottom line, the pieces that are broken would cost under 200 bucks to replace and instead of me being comped for them Cabinets to Go just wants more of my money I would not recommend them or Elizabeth who only replies to e-mails that are going to benefit her I am still waiting on a reply about counters that I wanted to buy and took 4 e-mails before Elizabeth sent me the warranty information I asked for.

The Kitchen Studio popped up in my google search as being a local dealer of the specific higher end material I wanted. Upon arrival, an employee told me "they don't do just countertops". Okay. That isn't clear on their website. Then she went on to tell me she can't think of anywhere in the area to refer me that "just does counters". First, of all, there are at least 10 countertop fabricators within a 10 mile radius of Glen Ellyn. Someone in the industry should know this. Second, I'm sure the Kitchen Studio has an in house fabricator or they subcontract it out to someone local (most likely) and thus, why on earth would you not give this person my business??? I have a fairly large kitchen and master vanity. My quotes from the other local fabricators, who do, in fact, exist, are coming in at $120/sq foot and up. I'm giving 2 stars instead of one because all their kitchens on houzz are truly lovely and I'm sure if you hire them they would design a beautiful kitchen.

However when cost estimates were developed for contract signing for the project implementation phase, her personal fees were 3 times of what they should have been per our retainer agreement. When I pointed out the retainer terms, instead of correcting, they sent me a new retainer document and told me their process has changed. The change is permanent and sometimes there is a little fallout like this. These were Susan's words in her email to me. I took them to court ( case#2019SR000483 in Dupage county) to get my money back which I did. Susan herself is talented and personable but her business partner and company co-owner's dealings are disappointing and ignorant of basic business ethics. Susan kept saying he handles all money and pricing aspects. I had to walk away! Update 1/10/2020: I stand by my comments and the fact that you completely disavowed the terms of retainer and when I pointed out the pricing terms that we agreed to In the retainer, you emailed me a new retainer document with all pricing terms removed from it. I would have never signed anything or paid you $7k based on that new retainer devoid of any specifics. This was an act of complete lack of integrity. If you are serious about building reputation, practicing integrity will help. Good luck

Planning went well and they scheduled to start after Thanksgiving. Mike, the builder, did most of the work. His work is pretty good. I would rate it a B. He could have worked to cover our bedroom furniture from dust, and cover the floor better, but it was not horrible. The company did not charge us for all of they drywall that was replaced, but I was told it was easier to replace it all rather than try to patch in with what was left of the old stuff. Their painter botched the job. He did not clean the roller of lint and left a huge amount of lint all over the newly replaced walls. He came and repainted, and still only did a mediocre job. We paid $100 more for it to be painted again to do another coat to fix his mess, and to change color (our choice). The painter did not cover all the walls well so they sent someone out again. Overall: *Verlissa was very good and was a strong communicator. *Mike's work was pretty good- we would use him again. *The painter - poor- all three times he came. *Time: While we were annoyed by the last parts of the job getting done, the main part of the job got done quickly. They should have followed-up and finished the repaint more quickly. *Cost- we are not really sure. This was our first remodel job. We feel we got a fair price.

They replaced the shower, vanity counter tops, and flooring. They installed new vanity lighting and painted the walls and woodwork. From design to implementation to final touch ups, this turn-key project was perfect! KBA took care of measuring, procuring, transporting, and installing the materials. This included a custom glass shower door that is absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend Verlissa and her team! Don't be confused! okay, I'll update here since they finally installed the small granite piece for my stove backsplash…read moreand accommodated my request for first thing in the am. The 3 guys who arrived called ahead 20 min, and were super careful to measure thrice and keep measuring and using a level as the piece dried. I felt very confident watching their concern to get the piece on the backsplash in an attractive and straight manner. They could not have been more professional. I'll say it once and say it again: when you deal with the salespeople at The Granite Corporation (that's their real name not "Granite") you kind of doubt that they have a clue about what they're selling. I don't know what will happen and it takes too long for them to finish up a sale, even though they mean well. However, when the measure & install team shows up, those are the people who really know what they're doing. They are top pros. I asked Sam, my sales person, how are they going to make sure the glue holds on a vertical application, and she did not know. I asked her if I should cover my stove, and she said, don't worry (of course, I did). When they showed up, they scored the back of both my backsplash and the new piece, so more glue would be applied. They applied glue all around the perimeter (not visable). They taped the piece in place and I put a spongy rug on my stove (just in case). They said, glue sets in 10 minutes and they held it that long, and it is good to go in a couple hours when I can take off tape. I would have liked to know that there would be a little granite dust in my kitchen ahead of time, to have removed everything from countertops, but they did hold up a vacuum while they scored my backsplash, so I cannot say that I see any dust (besides my own). They scored the new piece outside my house. The treasure here is the cutting, measuring & install team. They are premium craftsmen, very experienced and know how to communicate with the public. They're the ones who should be selling the granite!
