so glad we listened to all the great yelp reviews and connected with kevin. my husband and i recently moved into our house where the carpet reeked of cat urine and the smell would not go away no matter how many times we had professional cleaning done. so we decided to get rid of the carpet and install new ones. kevin came by with multiple samples and explained the pros/cons of each material. we got a reasonable quote and decided to move forward. the style we ended up choosing went out of stock but the one he recommended in lieu of it was even better! our installation was scheduled for two weeks later. my only qualm was that on the day of, we were expecting it to start in the morning but they didn't arrive until between noon and 1. it seemed their last job took longer than expected. they ended up finishing a little before 4. so roughly 3 hours to uninstall/install for 600 sq ft of carpet. kevin typically stops by for a follow-up, which we had to schedule and he said all looked good. and the best part is that the cat urine smell is gone! read more

Did not have a have great experience with them. Had a nice knowledgeable sales rep come out on a Thursday to a couple of houses for a quote. The sales rep was quickly able to email me a quote however, the measurements and one of the carpet choices were incorrect. I emailed them 2 times in regards to the quote and had a couple other questions and did not get a response. Finally called the store and they claimed they saw my email but still wanted to know what I was calling for hmmmmm.... representative at the store took down my questions indicated they would call me back with an answer but I never got it. Told the sales rep that I wanted to get these carpets installed within the week, so I would think they wanted the business. I gave them one more chance and called on a Saturday and was put on a hold for almost 20 mins and gave up, so i hung up. The only positives was the gentlemen at the store during the first visit was helpful and patient and the other was the promptness of the sales rep and the delivery timing of the quote. Otherwise it was not great, quote was wrong and did not get a response to my questions. I know it's a family run business and I wanted to support them but all of the signs pointed in the wrong direction, so I had to pass. read more

Wow. So I bought a bunch of tiles before they moved into this new location. I finally got my project done and had a couple boxes of tile left so I tried to return them. Since they took my name and number when I bought them and they have looked me up before so I could buy more of their flooring, they won't take it back without a receipt now. Never saw that "paper" sign in their old store. So lesson learned. They have the same tiles at Menards for the same price. Great thing about menards, you can return it without a receipt!!!!! Last time I shop there. Going to post this in FB too. UPDATE: So I went home and found the receipt. I brought it back to the store and they still wouldn't take it back. They said it was too long ago. I bought it when they where on Mannheim at the end of last year and the girl didn't even recognize the receipt. She called the GM and said that they used a different system back then. So even though I have the receipt and they have this item still in their inventory, they still won't take it back. So beware! Return your leftovers before 30 days and if they take it back, it's still a 10% restocking fee. Don't know any businesses anymore that charge a restocking fee of unopened items with a receipt. UPDATE: I got contacted by one of the owners and they wanted to make this right for me. They asked to for me to go back and they will give me store credit. So I went there and Don, one of the owners was there. He was apologetic and wanted to make things right. Even though I didn't need anything else, they gave me store credit. So I bought a trim piece. I was glad that they were able to take care of this because what was I supposed to do with 3 cases of tile when all done with everything. Buyer Beware and Shop at your own risk. The sales clerks are irresponsible and do not pay attention to what they are doing. I went in to Show Flooring in Northlake, IL on Monday morning, October 25, 21and purchased carpet to be installed in my bedroom. As soon as I signed the credit card receipt the sales clerk "Abigail" stamped the receipt "Final Sale No Refund" (1st Red Flag -I wasn't tripping at the time though; because I wanted the carpet). Abigail scheduled my carpet installation for Wednesday, October 27, 2021 between 8 am- 12 pm. Monday afternoon, October 25, 2021 around 2 pm I received an email confirmation from Show Flooring of the scheduled carpet installation for Wednesday; October 27, 2021. When Wednesday came I called Show Flooring at 10:00 am to obtain a more precise time of arrival. The sales clerk had me on hold about 15 mins. (2nd Red Flag - I instinctively knew that this was not going to end well). When the sales clerk came back to the telephone call she apologized and advised that I was not on the schedule for today and that she could schedule me for this coming Friday. I immediately asked for my money back. The sales clerk advised that the sale was final. I asked to speak with a manager. The sales clerk advised that " there is no manager; the manager was let go last week" (3rd Red Flag.) I asked who was in charge. The sales clerk told me that "Abigail" was in charge and transferred the call to Abigail which is the exact same sales clerk that I initially dealt with when I entered the store on Monday. I asked for a refund and reminded Abigail that "they still have the carpet in their possession." I left the carpet that I purchased in the store as the installers were supposed to bring it with them on Wednesday when they came to my house. Bottom Line: I'm not sure if there is a manager at Show Flooring or not! The sales clerks are deceptive, they lie, and they schedule bogus appointments. I did not receive a refund; however, I was able to exchange the carpet for rugs. read more

This is a review of an established business. I am a repeat customer. I had extensive damage to my home from a water leak and the repair process was stressful. Kevin P and the team worked at every stage of the process including quoting, invoicing, installation, and final inspection. Most places probably won't do a final inspection. I rated them high, but even though the process went smoothly, there are always a few bumps in the road. The great review should be a testament to the business leaders ensuring they tried their best. We've used Show Flooring three times (200 sqft, 800 sqft & 1600 sqft) over the course of a few years at two different houses. Every time we've used their actual show carpeting (they do also sell new carpet) & it has always been seemingly new (the "new smell" lasted for months) and has been installed professionally. I recommend them to everyone I know. If they have a carpet that works for your space, why pay more elsewhere?! That said, you do need to expect that they do not have a lot of staff and you may have to jump thru a few extra hoops (following up with them to actually place your order after your measuring appt, stopping back in the store to pay, etc.). It's well worth it, in my opinion. read more
