I'm reducing my rating to 0. I will repeat my opinion: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CABINETS TO TO. Molly responded to my last review stating she would investigate and resolve. All I got was stonewalling. The business insists its an installation issue, but the sink CAME INSTALLED; that is, it was mounted unevenly to the countertop causing a gap on the righ side where the underlip was 1/8th inch. To fix, I had to pay my installer to UNINSTALL the sink from the countertop, clean the surfaces and reinstall the sink centered in the countertop cutout. This is a workmanship issue which is explicitly covered by a warranty that was not honored. Proceed with Cabinets to Go at your own risk! read more

Well still waiting on replacements for broken parts original order back in March. They sent me multiple broken parts and wrong color costing me thousands of extra carpenter fees, have a drawer already peeling... the store won't give me my replacement parts and is playing the wait you put claim game. Sandra has still not given me the credit for her mistake ordering two sets of moulding. They really don't care if they give you what you ordered broken, and the manager got mad at me when he realized that Sandra the sales women sent her unlicensed husband to take wrong measurements and do a terrible job and all bottom cabinets are empty...corporate says it the store, store says it's corporates fault. Cabinets to Go collected a $99 fee for a contractor to come and measure my laundry room for new cabinets. I was told the fee would be applied to my cabinet purchase. However, I never received the cost estimate for the job (based on the measurements). I was told I would get the estimate that same day. Four business days later, I still hadn't heard from them, despite the fact that I called several times and was told the manager would call me back. Now, I'm being told the measurement fee is non-refundable, even though at the time I paid that fee no one told me that. This is going to be a long one. First off when we designed our kitchen and picked everything out it was fine good customer service. But then came time to install our countertops and it took forever because they did not have the one we picked out in the beginning and wouldn't have it in anytime soon. So they wanted us to pick an alternative but nothing they had matched our color scheme like I mean way off. So we had to get our countertops elsewhere. Now they did all the other work besides the countertops I mean everything else to installing the sink faucet to the sink. Here we are 2 and half years later and water from the faucet is leaking and is causing damage to the sink supports and to the countertop and they did not seal it up properly. So I called cause surely it's under warranty cause it's only been two years and I sent them pictures and explained everything. Well the denied the claim and says it's on the countertop people but how. All they did was install the countertop nothing else. Cabinets To Go was here when the install took place and they finished the job so I'm so confused on that.They literally installed the sink and faucet during the install of countertops. If I could give zero stars, I would. What a highly unethical company who seems to use a business model that blatantly takes advantage of inexperienced customers. We purchased a closet system back in March. The system was sold to us by Sandra Zararte. A perfectly nice woman, however I believe she rushed us into the order knowing full well that our product was on back order. She NEVER told us. It wasn't until delivery of half the system, that we were informed. We were told it would be no later than May 31. I ended up canceling the order last week & when I did, the male manager (didn't catch his name) told me there were nearly 50 people waiting for the same back ordered corner unit. What a joke. In addition to the back ordered product, a portion that was delivered in April was broken. We've been getting a form letter apologizing for the back ordered replacement part about every 3 days. I paid $99.00 to have the store recommended contractor come out to measure the kitchen. The store rep in Ventura got 2 of the 3 wall measurements wrong in the layout for the cabinets. The work was scheduled to start over 3 weeks from final payment, Thursday late I was told the cabinets were not shipping till the following week. Work was supposed to start that Monday. Finally, the cabinets arrived but due to the layout error the pantry was the wrong size, a new one needed to be ordered . In addition, the store forgot to order one lower cabinet entirely, another week delay. I had to interface with countertop company as the store rep. was not communicating with them. If the person who took the order is not at the store no one else will assist. The flooring installer put a nail into a waterline causing a leak. I informed the contractor but ended up covering the repair, notified the store and nothing. All the work that caused the leak was performed under a Cabinets to Go invoice. I should not be covering the cost. I read the reviews but thought they were somewhat overstated. I realize now they were almost too kind. I called customer service over 10 days ago. The rep. there said all the standard things but resolved nothing. I received no call back. Speaks to your level of concern. read more

Just wrapped up another kitchen remodel using Cabinets To Go. This is my 3rd remodel using their products. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because of product delays. However, I suspect that's common with most cabinet remodels. I have always space planned my kitchens and brought my measurements to Cabinets To Go, although they do offer these services as well. I have used several of their styles including Palm Beach Dark Chocolate, Victoria Ivory and White Malibu Shaker. All are beautiful and well made. All have held up and functioned well. These cabinets are high end and include soft close/cushion close doors & drawers, dove tail drawers, plywood cabinet bodies, etc. You can buy cheaper products from China (yes, these are also Chinese) in LA but they don't have the lifetime warranty or as many style & sizing options. Leo is currently the store manager in Ventura and he was excellent to work with. I also hired their install crew this time around and would do so again. Reasonably priced labor and an outstanding install. I will use Cabinets To Go for my future master bath remodel and will recommend them to anyone who is cabinet shopping for their home renovation projects. read more

Update: I am still loving my kitchen but the black on the handles were purchased is rubbing off showing a brassy color below. Also I have never owned white cabinets before but the finish chips off easily. One slight hit with a plate or a mug and the finish which I though was baked on for durability comes off. Same for the inner shelves. I had wood/laminate cabinets in my previous home for 13 years and they seemed way more durable. I wish that we would have spent the extra money for more expensive cabinets but we were on a budget or I suggest getting a sample panel and take it home to try the durability of the finish. Cabinets To Go is a small store with several cabinet options for your home. They lack good customer service, reliability and integrity. First impressions weren't great. I was initially underwhelmed by the selection and surprised by the costs, but due to the insistence of my contractor who had regularly sent clients to this location, selected simple economical white cabinets. What I like: the cabinets are solid wood. They are affordable... unless delays interfere with scheduling and extends time of the project. Which brings us to the failings: misinformation. When I ordered the kitchen and bathroom cabinets in late MAY 2021 for approximately 7k, I sat with Gabby the saleswoman for over an hour. She drew up an electronic blueprint of the kitchen and what cabinets would go where. There are choice limitations with purchasing prefabricated cabinets. I wanted 4 drawers for example but they only offer three. Not a big deal. I did like the special options of a knife drawer and spice cabinet. I was told that the cabinets would be scheduled for delivery the second week of July (six weeks from time of purchase). During this process, Gabby had the specifications from my contractor and put in the order. One 9-inch spice cabinet was mis-ordered. While eagerly awaiting the cabinets, I was surprised to find that not all cabinets were delivered in June. I understand there have been worldwide shipping delays of supplies. My frustration is due to the failure to contact me regarding my order-specific-delays. I verbalized my feedback. The 9-inch spice cabinet, which had been mis-ordered, did not arrive in June. It did not arrive in July. When I called to follow-up, I was told it would arrive at the end of August. One 9-inch cabinet should NOT be a big deal...however, this cabinet needed to be in before the counters could be installed. Missing this one little cabinet delayed my project by months. I bought a replacement cabinet from Home Depot so the counters could be installed early August. So what happened to the 9-inch cabinet? It didn't arrive to me in August. It didn't arrive in September. Finally, I stopped by Cabinets to Go in Ventura to discuss this with a representative. He walked to the front of the store where some boxes were leaning and SURPRISE! My 9-inch cabinet...which had been leaning against those windows for at least THREE weeks. I asked the manager why I was not contacted to notify me of its arrival. The manager didn't have an answer. Meanwhile, some of the cabinets from July had warping and damage which were immediately addressed by my contractor who ordered replacement cabinet doors. The replacements didn't come until mid-October. To sum up my experience in pros and cons: PROS: affordable, well-made in Malaysia, pre-fabricated cabinets. CONS: poor communication (i.e. poor customer service) and costly delays. I was so disappointed with my experience overall that I bought the remaining bathroom cabinets from other sources. read more

I am BEYOND rage with this company. It has been almost 6 months since I started the process of trying to order my cabinets through Cabinets to Go. Frank took my deposit and never called me back. He was to come measure that week. He didn't. I called the store and he set up another appointment. He didn't show up again. I called 45 mins after the appointment was scheduled and he said he was "on his way". I was ignored for 3 weeks. No plans, no calls, no emails. I call again and I get the runaround. I still nothing. I end up starting demolition as I had other projects and I decided on a different way to organize the kitchen cabinets. I send over the revised measurements and receive another promise from Frank to send over the revised plans. After several calls and emails, still nothing. He finally sends me THE OLD PLANS with the old measurements!! I call to talk to the manager. Biggest mistake ever. Leo is the worst manager I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. He said he would come with Frank as I feared I would pluck out Frank's eyeballs from rage if he came alone to measure once again. 6 weeks after they took my deposit money, Frank comes back WITHOUT the manager Leo. Frank measures and I try to keep myself calm. He gives me this crap about the CEO or someone high in the company giving him extra duties the past 2 weeks. I asked what about the 4 weeks prior to that?! I get a halfass apology. I'm so angry, but revenge is mine. My dog had some seriously smelly farts that day and he sauntered into the kitchen as Frank gave me his pathetic excuse. I get a whiff and leave Frank to soak it up. I finally get the plans and Frank gives me NOT ONE OPTION. He TELLS me what I'm getting rather than providing cabinet options and allowing me to chose. I finally get the order going and I get the Frank-chosen cabinets. I put them together with my mom, except the lazy susan, which came with no hardware or instructions, unlike the others. I call the corporate office and they send me a 200+ page document to sift through and try to figure out which cabinet it is and the correct instructions myself. I call the Ventura store and they send over someone to put it together. This turned out to be Ramon, Frank's friend he was to send my way when he was going to give me an installation quote but never followed through. Surprise surprise. While opening the cabinets, we notice a bunch had big scratches and chips. I called Leo, the useless pathological liar of a manager, and tell him the situation. I have to call the corporate office because he says he wouldn't send me replacements for the scratched items but instead a little stick of color to cover it all up. I refused as I did not pay for cabinets I was destined to repair. I ordered new cabinets and they should arrive new! Am I crazy for asking for chip-free, new cabinets?!? The replacements have yet to arrive. Leo keeps giving me the runaround and flat out lies to me (over and over). He tells me how much he would love to help me more but he's "already done so much including paying out of his own pocket to pay Ramon for putting together my lazy susan". I happened to hire Ramon to install my cabinets and he was there. So I quickly put Leo on speaker (I was so tired of all his lies - this was not the first!) and said "oh you did did you? One sec. Let me ask Ramon..." Leo begins stuttering and backpedaling. I ask Ramon if he was paid by Leo for putting together my lazy susan (remember, the company did not provide the hardware nor instructions!) and Ramon said "no, he never paid me anything." Meanwhile, Leo is screaming on speaker that he "takes care of him!" Whatever that means. Leo continuously said things to me making it sound like I am the problem. I finally said "well, other managers would have handled things better." He sarcastically said "I am sooo sorry I am not up to YOUR standards!" I told him I was simply doing what he was doing to me - continuously telling me somehow it was all my fault and that all his rental properties had these particular cabinets and he neeever had any problems. Fast forward to now (October 18, 2018). My cabinets are still not complete. Only one replacement cabinet has been delivered and I'm awaiting one more as well as a small piece of crown molding that Ramon damaged and ordered over 2 MONTHS AGO!!! Leo won't return my phone calls. The emails are bull as Leo can't keep himself from lying. I have no idea what kind of establishment they're running but if you don't want to lose your hair from stress and rage DO NOT GO HERE!! Next is the better business bureau! We came to Cabinets to Go in Ventura to see what they had to offer in kitchen design and products. Joseph was extremely helpful and diligent with helping us create our new kitchen. We have a small space and were able to utilize every part of it with Joseph's help. We purchased the cabinets, the countertop, the flooring, sink and faucet all through Cabinets to Go. It was within our budget, and the products are good quality. They recommended the installer/contractor Pyramid Designs, and they were great to work with. We had issues; it is to be expected with a construction remodel, but Joseph and Pyramid Designs were always pleasant and available to find a remedy. One downside to Cabinets to Go is that product is shipped from the East Coast, and so there can be a delay in getting a replacement door/cabinet or filler board, or whatever is needed to finish to job. And the Customer Care 800 phone line can be challenging to deal with. But I would still recommend them, especially Joseph Backstrom, the store manager. He worked on resolving the construction and design issues and the job has been completed with me being a satisfied client. read more

Thought I would save money buying stock cabinets from Cabinets to Go, had them installed by a company they recommended...looked inside the finished cabinets and they had HALF shelves in them, not whole, normal shelves! Who wants to have half as much storage capacity?? Called the store and after multiple attempts to speak to someone they told me to call corporate customer service. Called them and they said "that's just how they come". Asked why they would sell them with half shelves and the supervisor said, "I don't know". Asked if I could swap them out for normal, full shelves and she said "no, you can buy new ones". If they want to sell something bizarre and unexpected they should at least let the customers know up front so we can make an informed decision. The cabinets in the showroom had full shelves, I had no idea they would be shorting me half my shelves. Must be a scam to sell me what I thought I was getting in the first place. We got a few really crazy quotes from big box places and private cabinet small businesses. A friend told us about Cabinets To Go, so happy we went there. The customer service is outstanding, the quality is terrific. Solid wood and very sturdy. Frank (sales representative) was great. He mapped out our kitchen on the computer and later came out and personally measured. We hired our own installer who was thoroughly impressed with Frank's measurements. No changes or adjustments were required. All said and done, we saved $8,000 for a better product. With this price, we we're even able to get extras we we're going to get gouged for at the other places. Better experience, better quality, nicer people to do business with. Let me start by saying this is my second time using cabinets to go. The first time was about 8 years ago and Frank helped me and it was awesome. The rendering were great and he went over all the details and everything went great. This new experience however has been totally a nightmare. I am doing a total remodel so I needed everything. I didnt know it at the time but they were having a promotion if you spend $2500 or more you get a free countertop valued at $200. Johnathan and Sandra both did not tell me that I even qualified for this promotion, I stumbled on it online and called and asked about it.. It would have been nice of them to tell me about it!!! It takes 4 weeks for these cabinets to be delivered to their store. 4 WEEKS! Ok that sucks but I am getting a free formica counter and I have everything planned for them to get installed on get the place rented. I show up 4 weeks later to get my cabinets and countertop only to BE TOLD WHILE I AM PICKING UP CABINETS THAT MY COUNTER TOP IS BACKORDERED AND WILL NOT BE ARRIVING!!!! why couldnt they tell me 4 weeks ago?, 3 weeks ago?, 2 weeks ago?, 1 week AGO??? No explanation, nothing. All the formica in stock at home depot looks dated and hate them all, now I have to special order from home depot a counter top and it will take another 4 WEEKS for me to get it, delaying my job a whole month. This will cost me over $1500 in lost rent. I am very mad at what this company did.. And the icing on the top is that they wanted to offer me only $92 refunded. No sorry, no explanation, nothing. I also felt ignored when i got to the store, and nobody will help you load your cabinets when you get there to pick them up. Place is under new management and it shows. I liked Johnathan up till the counter top episode. Plus side is the cabinets do look good. But screwing up like that is inexcusable. People have lots of money on the line with their jobs, and this is inexcusable. I have to make a big ordeal to get $200 refunded, and considering the inconvenience I cant believe I would even have to ask! (side note sandra did mess up on the counter top length so even if I did get counter it would have been too small!!) Moral of the story. Cabinets look good. I did a complete kitchen remodel and was happy with the design and price that Frank at Cabinets to Go provided. A couple of cabinets did not make it with the order but Frank chased the missing cabinets down and we completed the project. Now the bad and ongoing issue. I had $1,300 of merchandise left after the project was completed. Including a complete set of crown molding in a style I did not order. I asked that they waive the 25% restocking fee when the merchandise was returned. I dropped off the merchandise and trusted them to process the return. It has now been 2 months and no refund has been issued. I have called multiple time and every time I have been told they will get on it and call me back to confirm. Well seven calls and seven promises later no return calls or refund. You may pay a couple hundred dollars more going somewhere else for your cabinets but it is worth it. Stay away! read more

We purchased our kitchen from here because the quality was higher than the big box stores. The price about 20% lower than the warehouse stores. Also the cabinets were made from plywood not pressed wood. The big box stores wanted another 20% more for plywood so we saved about a total or 40% They look great and function great. Update on my review.... the cabinets have been installed for almost a year. Complaints that the drawers fall off the track quite easity is accurate. Plus, once off the track, they are a bit difficult to get back on. Takes some fiddeling. Also, the tracks do move quite easily, so that the self closing drawer does not close evenly. One would think that with all of the complaints about the drawers coming off track, the company would use a different design. We have some custom cabinets in our bathroom that never come off track because they did not use Cabinet to Go's mickey mouse rail system where the front of the rail is set in a hole in the bottom of the cabinet, that keeps popping out. Just a stupid system that does not work very well. read more

I have drawers that do not stay on the track, I contacted customer service many many weeks ago, multiple times. They said they would send me some parts, which is a horrible warranty in the first place. I have not seen any parts, I know that I'll get nothing unless I contact them again.
