I was on the phone with them for over 3 hours! and they hung up on me. Occasionally it will hit close to 10 but half the time it's down or runs under 1mbps, I have included photo proof. They say the line is fine, and blame your computer as if you are downloading some magical internet killing file. Half the time I can't even pull up youtube or netflix let alone watch a video at 240P. This is by far the absolute WORST isp internet provider I have ever seen, AOL dial up was more reliable 20 years ago.

I have to agree with the other commenters here wholeheartedly. Century Link is - by far - the…read moreabsolute worst company I have ever had to deal with. (They make AT&T & Verizon seem wonderful by comparison!) A ZERO star rating would be too generous; only negative stars would be appropriate. From the first call I had with them to request service, to the very last call to cancel the service and dispute charges, every single interaction with their Customer Support has been infuriating. Be prepared to be on the phone for at least an hour and be disconnected or transferred accidentally at least twice. (And you can forget about using their online customer support!) First, they called to "confirm" my request for service. The woman was unintelligible and rude and I thought that she was a prank caller or had the wrong number. When I asked the caller to confirm her identity she hung up on ME! Then she apparently marked my account request as "fraudulent" thus SUSPENDING my account mid-setup. I then had to go through the entire painfully long setup process again. Then the router delivery was late. Then it took them an additional week to "activate" the service. (Apparently their tech guys don't work on weekends.) When the connection was finally established it was WAY slower than promised. I cancelled almost immediately and returned the router. It took them three weeks to send me the return label for UPS. In the meantime, I printed out my own label online and sent back the router myself, foolishly thinking I had finally washed my hands of this whole wretched affair. Can you guess what happened next? That's correct! They never processed the return of the router and sent the balance to a collections agency... I spent another 45 minutes on the phone with them today, got passed through FOUR different reps, each time having to RESTATE what I was calling about, and verify my account info. (They claim that they finally cleared out my balance, but somehow, I doubt they did.) In my time as a Century Link customer, I literally spent more time on the phone with their incompetent customer support than I spent using their excruciatingly slow, overpriced Internet. My advice to you: DO NOT GET CENTURY LINK. If you are a new subscriber, GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN!!! I'll help make it easier. Here's the link to print a return label for their router: http://www.centurylink.com/home/help/internet/modems-and-routers/print-a-return-label-and-send-back-your-modem.html MAKE SURE YOU SAVE THE TRACKING NUMBER. YOU'LL NEED IT!

The problem I had recently was with customer service and locating this store. CUSTOMER SERVICE -- I called this location before I arrived to make sure that they were still open. No one answered the phone and the voicemail stated that they closed at 3pm, on Saturday. I was confused because a google search (via google reviews) showed that they were open for business. To add to more confusion, the actual COX website did not have any Cleveland locations on their list of locations so that got me frazzled because I didn't want to drive to Parma to see the store closed. I called Cox Corporate (not the store) and spoke to customer service Rep. He was not able to help me to determine where the Cleveland location was or what time they were opened. He did the google search I did but that can not be reliable at times. He also was unsure why the Cox website didn't list the store under locations. Anyway, I went to the Cox location via google search and hoped they were open since no one at the physical store was answering their phone. Thank goodness, they were open. Step it up Cox Customer Service. COX INTERNET -- I had a good experience with having Cox internet for 1 year and 2 months. I only cancelled because the plan increased in price after 1 year to $77 per month (normally, new customers get a deal for the 1st year). If I had a roommate then I probably would have kept my internet service but I have data on my phone. **** - 140 total reviews in 2019 - 349 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 23 November 2019
