This place has it's ups and downs. the service is amazing, everyone is always so nice. the entrees are pretty bad, but the appetizers are good, and so are the desserts. drinks are ok, they didn't know what I meant by a "Roy Rodgers". The Food is disgusting! The lady who greeted us at the front area maybe the manager was extremely Rude!! This isn't a dog family friendly resturant like it is advertised. We sat outside with a ton of flies all over us and our food. Over priced hamburger and the New York strip was full of silver skin, which makes me believe it was a chuck steak! AGAIN overpriced and GROSS. The table was dirty that the manager sat us at. Then they came and wiped it off and didn't really clean it!! Hence all the Gross Flies all around!! Took a bit to order and get our drinks. Maybe plan just a little extra time. We didn't order food but the menu was quite big and the plates that did come out around us looked good. The only bar/pub we could find that was open past 8pm in Fort Morgan (on a Monday). Very Covid compliant, masks required & tables spaced out to the extreme. The menu is unique; filled with Mexican food, calzones, mac n cheese, sandwiches, pizza, plates, pasta, salads and traditional appetizers (nachos, wings, etc). We ordered the steak nachos (barley any cheese or toppings), chicken sopapilla (it was overly smothered in some sauce with NO melted cheese as described ithe menu. ALSO, for the sides, there was maybe 15 black beans, brown guacamole and a quarter size dollop of sour cream--all pretty sad), the Mac n cheese (is a huge bowl of penne noodles with a tablespoon portion size of cheese- we asked for an extra side of cheese sauce as it was SO dry) and the buffalo wings cooked well done (they were not crispy at all). I've been stopping in Fort Morgan for the past four years on my drive back to Minneapolis from California. it's always been good but this time, it seemed like a different place. Our waitress was uninformed about menu items, including posted specials; the bartender didn't know how to make a Cosmopolitan (it tasted like grenadine on the rocks); the food was awful. I ordered the "pub favorite - bourbon basted salmon. The plate came with a tiny piece of salmon smothered in a pineapple sauce and the rest of the dish covered with sweet potato fries and steamed veggies that had absolutely no taste. Something has changed and I wont be going back, or recommending Cables to friends. read more

The worst food and service ever. Sat at the bar, had to wait as the bartender(I think possibly manager, at least she presented herself as such) argued with her staff. After sitting, waited a long time for service, then waited again to order food. 30 minutes later, I had to ask about my food. Bartender said "my ticket times are good" (hence the manager comment). When she came back out she literally dropped the plate in front of me, probably because it was very hot to the touch. Unfortunately the sandwich, yes 30 minute+, was tepid and the fries were cold. I left half the sandwich and all the fries uneaten and was charged for everything. I left my silverware napkin and debris on top of the plate and was asked if I wanted a Togo box. LOL, hell no. Not a bad little place. Not very busy, located in a very small town near Fort Morgan. The ambience was nice. Basic bar with basic selection. The NY steak was great (and Ive had a lot of bad steak). The most random thing I ordered ended up being delicious, which was the "Italian Nachos." I also had their "fried ice cream" which was unusually small and not real "fried ice cream" at all. It's just a scoop of vanilla with some fried pita bread-type chips on it. You can't call that fried ice cream! But overall, I'd go there again. read more

Just moved to the area and hear people talk about how much they like this place. But honestly i don't know why. My first visit the service wasn't all that and the nachos i ordered weren't good either. And i tried it again tonight. Even worseeeee! Wes was our server. It took FOREVER for him to great us. And even longer for him to come back and get our order. My burger was drowned in grease and my fries were cold and under cooked. 16 oz pint glasses with rectangular ice. I could have sworn that was outlawed due to the choking hazard...but screw it 'America. Paper straws to save the turtles but I'm not sure that turtles use straws. Choice forks and 68 update knives. Here's an update the 69 series is far superior. A digital clock that is off by 21 years. And an analogue clock to confuse the people from 2000 at the bar. We only came in here because we needed a new HDMI, but they apparently don't do that. If you are in need of a neon sign, you are going to want to make sure you don't get your cables crossed. Bullet proof mens bathroom stalls, and not a single mentioned of the demo crew. Our server was nice. The food is hit or miss. It is actually what cables does...which is about right. read more

I really like and enjoy the cheesy fries. They don't really know how to cook a steak, and I'm not a huge fan of many other things on the menu. The service is alright. I enjoy many servers that wait on us, but getting seated takes ages. It also takes forever to order or get a check because they are always running around or in the back. This place is decent. We were driving around on a Sunday and this was the only sit down that was open (open till 2am). Although this is true, they only let you order food until 10. They have crazy specials on Sundays: $5 calzones, $3 all you can eat spaghetti/mac n cheese, $2 pints, and more! Our bill was only $30 bucks for a family of 4. One thing that went wrong was that I asked for mozzarella in my calzone instead of ricotta and I still got ricotta but it was tasty nonetheless. Server was very nice food is Definitely cheap bar food my fries were cold and some hot telling me they made fresh fries dumped them on the cold fries and then threw them on my plate!.. this after I requested when I ordered my food to please make the fries hot and crispy for my son which they were not!.. they did end up giving me the fries for free which I appreciate I still tipped 22% to the server but the food was just not that great! We stopped here while driving through from Nebraska to Brighton Colorado. It was on main street and looked like a very lively place to hangout. Inside was quite loud so we opted to sit outside given it was nice weather. Downside of that were the crazy amount of flies....highly suggest finding a hidden but effective way of dealing with the flies and sweat bees as they kind of hamper having a good dining experience. My parents ordered the fish and chips...they said the fish was delicious. They opted to order fried green beans instead of the fries. Unbeknownst to them, they were charged the price of the meal plus the price of the appetizer green beans so their affordable meal quickly went downhill. Server should have suggested that they share the green beans due to the volume and should have told the what the upcharge would be. Had they known this...their decision would have been different. I had the chicken fried steak. While it was fair in taste...it was very small for dinner portion and the price. Wait staff was okay. Overall, don't think I have to stop here again anytime soon. If I could go lower than one star I would. A friend and myself were checking out Ft.Morgan and were passing through town and we saw Cables. The front patio was cute and inviting with the fire pit, so we decided to check it out. The host seemed less than enthusiastic to be working and her hair was sloppy. We sat a booth and about 15 mins later our server appeared she was ok but you can tell she didn't want to be there. We ordered our dinner I got the Ribeye (medium rare) with Mac n Cheese and I wanted to order ran an additional side (their premium side) fried cheese. My friend order the steak (MR) and Cajun shrimp. Shortly after we ordered our server appeared and side we can't do fried cheese as an additional side. Me looking baffled I said well I knew it was a premium side I will pay extra as I should, and apparently that is a problem for the kitchen, I said I'll take a dinner salad instead. Our food came out and it was the saddest plate of food I've ever seen. The Mac n cheese wasn't what I expected for MnC it was non elbow pasta that was over cooked with melted cheese on it (I called it the poor man's Mac n Cheese). The worst display of pasta I've ever seen. I don't know how you can mess up a classic dish but it happen. The streak was mediocre at best no flavor and not medium rare. The veggies that came with it was "fresh frozen" I haven't seen an ugly display of vegetables in my life. No flavor, bland, lifeless. My friends food consisted of over cooked shrimp with a well done steak Oh! and the same sad display of veggies. I'm all about the surf n' turf when it's done right. Oh and there was nothing "Cajun" about it. Oh and her beer tasted warm and old. This place sucks! I couldn't believe the mediocrity of the food. Cold spaghetti noodles and completely inedible cold and soggy bread on the $15 sandwich. Steak nachos - had to search hard to find some pieces of steak. Highly recommend greeley location - always excellent service and delicious food. This place sucks! The food is ridiculously over priced for how sh**ty the service is. Would much rather spend money somewhere I can get halfway decent service. First night we come in around 8:55, got some water and was looking at the menu. Right as we were going to order the waitress comes over and says "we only do fried foods from 9-10." Around 8:58 so we walked out. Next night we come in, get some water and sit down. Ask for a booth and get told "that's reserved". 30 minutes go by without the waitress coming back to take out order, the whole time that booth stayed empty. Even drove around to find another restaurant, drove by and the booth was STILL empty. For how much these people charge, they sure as s**t don't care about efficiency or customer contentment. Reservations need to have a 20 minute late time and then cancel the reservation. Not treat the people that show up to spend money like bottom of the barrel for people who can't even show up. read more
