Loved my stay at Cabo Surf. Not too far from the airport. Definitely more of a laid-back vibe than most of the loud, party-scene hotels nearby. Check in was very simple and we were immediately able to go to our rooms. We stayed on the first floor rooms that face the ocean. You enter from the big glass sliding doors. The rooms facing the ocean have lovely views. The rooms are not that spacious but it's neat. We didn't spend much time in the room besides at night, so wasn't a big deal. Luckily the AC works and the blinds cover the big windows for privacy at night. It's pretty quiet and a relaxing place to stay. The restaurant is pretty good and never really has a wait. There are two areas with pools and jacuzzis. The lower area tends to be more packed than the upper ones. The spa is very nice, loved the massage I got there. Would recommend for sure. Hope to be back again soon! read more

This review is not for Cabo surf the hotel but the surf school attached. Been coming here for 8 years with no issues. Today I rented a board from them, took 30 minutes for them to help once I paid, then set me up with a water logged board. They then refused to switch boards or issue a refund. Quickest $ I've lost here in Cabo. Won't be coming back. They said their policy changed, yet I was not not told this, no signs anywhere, nothing. Terrible service by the surf school. read more

Absolutely fabulous couple of days in an intimate, comfortable, full service hotel in the absolute perfect Cabo location.  If you surf, or want to learn how to surf this is definitely where you want to be. My 7 year old is now surfing thanks to great lessons with Jaime We came for the surfing and we were expecting a low key surf lodge, but we were happily surprised to find gorgeous views from our room, 2 swimming pools, 2 jacuzzis, excellent food, professional surf teachers and unbeatable service. My only unpleasant moment was having to witness the most obnoxious, offensive couple yelling and swearing at the staff in the reception - think Shane Patton from The White Lotus - the worst nightmare for a hotel manager.  No mistake could have justified that disgusting abuse.  I actually had the absolutely best service from Diana, Caroline and Laurant., and truly hope they don't ever have to deal with such unacceptable behavior again. read more

We just got home from a quick trip to this hotel, Overall it was a great place to stay. The staff was very friendly, Rooms were clean. The Surf spot in front the hotel is a really smooth fun wave. I would recommend staying here if you are looking to wake up and surf all day. They have everything you need! The only negative I have about this hotel was the FREE YOGA CLASS. DO NOT DO IT! The instructor was rude and left me feeling angry and stressed after what was supposed to be a nice relaxing start to my day. Also she said I might be charged for recording MYSELF practicing. We only had one night here but would readily stay here again. The rooms are very well done, right on the water with crashing waves. So comfortable and so nice to have the restaurant right there for drinks. Although close to the road, we rarely heard road noise and when we did, it wasn't disruptive. Great little place. read more

My bf & I had been searching for a travel destination for a while and this hotel popped up miraculously on his feed and now it's gonna be a wonderful location to do yearly trips! First off Jesus and the entire front desk staff are all awesome! Hospitable and first class customer service! 7seas dining! Mucho deliciosO! Everything we ate and drank was 5Stars!!! I especially loved the surf & turf, the hamburgers are huge, and the guacamole platter was on point! Everything tastes fresh! I loved how the would offer sorbet to clean your palette! Even the complimentary bread and sauce was yum! surfing School! The surf boards my be rented were all great! I took a class with Luis and rode my first wave ever!!! Luis is a great instructor, bcuz I'm a new swimmer, never surfed before and he walked me every step of the way. For a doubtful person, I was able to catch 5 waves! He made sure my safety was always number 1. So take a class with Luis! He's great at encouraging you to be more confidant and enjoy the ride! Seriously THIS school & location is a great place for beginners to learn how to surf! spa- of course my bf wanted a massage! I opted for 1hr since I'm claustrophobic & he got the 90min. The spa was clean and the techs were great. They also have a hair salon and nail place there. There are 2pool/jacuzzi areas. One where kiddies primarily use & another which seemed adults use. I preferred the adult location and was able to watch my bf surf as I swam in the pool. Rooms! All rooms are excellent! Absolutely beautiful, private location if you want a relaxing trip minus the crowds. The secluded beach and pools are definitely worth the stay. One star knock simply because although our room was nice enough with the best ocean front view, it had some weird quirks that made it just a little off (shower structure causes water to shoot all over the bathroom floor during use; bathroom door was a wood and glass front entry door that eliminated any privacy). Overall, I nice place to relax for a few days. read more

Not your typical oceanfront Cabo hotel. This place has soul and surfing. The staff is wonderful. My family of three got massages and they were some of the best we've had. Room was nice and big and well appointed. The on site restaurant is very good and well staffed. Don't expect a cheaper experience than the states. Everything is expensive. The only thing that crossed the line for me was that after spending a lot of money on rooms, food, spa, etc. I couldn't grab a long board or a SUP for an hour when the surf was decent without also being charged. I think a SUP was $59 for two hours. Sometimes it's nice to get away from the constant transactions of life when you are try to relax. Hook me up with a board. Cheers. read more

WARNING: DO NOT STAY HERE! THEY STOLE MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT!!! I was a guest here on August 15th to 16th 2018, a one night stay. I booked my room through their website, www.cabosurfhotel.com. I had pre-paid for my room fee of $342.01 online. When I arrived, they swiped my debit card again for deposit and incidentals. I paid another $95.00 when I checked out (for room service & restaurant charges). Once I get back home to California, days later there is a charge for $2,403.01! And an international fee to boot for $72.09. They ran my card info and cleared out my entire checking account. I called them several times and no one would take accountability for the charge. It's now October and I'm still in a fraud battle with them. They responded to my bank's investigation by sending them a fake receipt claiming that I received a service for this $2,403 charge. It's ludicrous, illegal, and fraudulent. Do not spend a penny here... they will take your financial information and potentially take thousands of dollars from you! They are frauds and thieves and have completely put me out a ton of money. I've attached photos of my receipt and bank charge. Do not stay here! read more

Had a tremendous stay at this hotel. Gated, with exclusive access to multiple surf breaks directly in front of the hotel. The rooms offered are unique and are very well kept and updated with higher end amenties. All of the staff were really accommodating and provided warm and friendly service. The food at the 7 Seas hotel was very delicious and the positioning in front of the surf was awesome. A few friends had their wedding ceremony on the beach and had a beautiful reception set up on the grassy area that was moved into the 7 Seas restaurant due to rain. One of the best weddings I've been to. Mostly because of the people, partly because of the setting, and the hotel providing a wonderful venue. We booked shuttle service to/from the airport for about 60 $US for 3 people (25-30 min away) Also it was easy to shuttle into either San Jose and didn't make it to downtown Cabo be it a bit further away and I feel is very touristy. As a surfer, the location is much better than staying in downtown Cabo...Loved it. read more

My husband and I had such a beautiful, pleasant stay here. We stayed here the first 3 days of our honeymoon. The property is quaint, but very well kept and a great location. Every room has an ocean view and there are two pools on property. The beach was really nice and we got great surf when we were there. The staff and other guests were so friendly! We met some great friends down there. The 7seas restaurant also has great food! We would absolutely come back to visit! It's truly a beautiful hotel and we can't wait to go back. read more

We wanted to book a spa appointment and have dinner at Cabo Surf after a long day of surfing. They would not allow us to enter because we had a surfboard in the car. This hotel says Cabo "Surf" but is quite the opposite of a surf vibe. Not worth your effort or time, there are many other places that will accept you as you are. read more

This is a beautiful oasis of a small hotel on about the best surf beach in the area Jesus and the other front desk staff are wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms are very comfortable, most with at least a partial sea view. Compared to the larger resorts in the area , this hotel sits on its own small beach with rocky promontories at either end It's not private but never got crowded even over spring break. One of the best features though is the restaurant - excellent food , well prepared with local produce as far as possible. We talked to several others in the restaurant who were visiting to escape the horrible food at their resort. This was our first visit to the area and we were soooo pleased with our choice. We just got back from staying at this hotel and can't say enough about this beautiful property. The sound of crashing waves is all we heard all night as our room was oceanfront. Rooms are beautifully appointed and the staff is wonderful. We were more than happy to dine frequently at the one restaurant on the property - 7 Seas. Everything we ate there was delicious and served with presentation in mind. Wait staff was kind and welcoming. They even give you Mexican blankets to put around your shoulders in the cool evenings. My only complaint is the the infinity pools, while beautiful, are not heated which makes it uncomfortable to swim in. The management should really consider heating the pools for the comfort of guests who come during the cooler months. Other than that, it's the perfect place for a relaxing vacation. read more

I can't wait to go back!!! The hotel is lovely, relaxing, and the perfect size (exactly what you'd expect from a boutique hotel. Beautiful location, friendly staff, beach access, great food, and all around a wonderful trip. Location: you can't beat the location. Right on the beach, steps away from a great relazing surf break. It was great to wake up to the sound of the waves every morning. Food: Seven Seas Grille provides a great beachside dining atmosphere, friendly staff, and drool inducing food. I loved everything I ate there from the tacos to the seafood pasta. We had one romantic dinner at a table for two near the beachside of the restaurant and a large group brunch for our family and friends. The wait staff and restaurant accommodated both perfectly. Rentals: You can rent surfboards and get lessons from the hotel. The rentals are a bit expensive, but you can't beat the convenience - nothing to carry around or store. Wedding Venue: This is a spectacular wedding venue. If you're thinking about having your wedding here, do it! My husband and I couldn't recommend it more. We spent a week here with our family and closest friends before the wedding and had such a good time. We were initially worried about planning a destination wedding, but Martha @ the CSH is incredibly responsive and helpful. The staff is perfectly professional, and we didn't have to worry about a thing on our big day. Thank you all for everything! read more

We attended a wedding at this hotel and the service, food, views...everything was wonderful. We were in town for 4 days so we stopped by a few other times besides the wedding day. The servers at the bar area and pool were very nice and attentive. The drinks were great. The actual grounds that the hotel sits on is gorgeous. The food for the wedding was delicious--- we had crab cakes, tuna, coconut shrimp...the list goes on and on. The servers were always walking around with trays of drinks pre-made so that you could just grab something you want. Now that's service! This was a wonderful first impression of cabo and I can't WAIT to return. read more

This was our second time visiting and we will continue to do so because it's just such a special place with the perfect, consistent surf! We had such a pleasant time and the convenience of the restarant and how close it is to San Jose del Cabo and the East Cape (even Cabo itself) really helps with going out on adventures. The nice walk to the arches, beach access, and very nice pools keep you outside yet relaxed. Barbara at the front desk IS THE BEST and definitely helped us out throughout our lovely stay. I got a massage this time (and two years ago) from Lita and I can say it was the best massage of my life and I actually started to fall asleep! She is the best and so sweet, I will always ask for her whenever we return! Pretty pricey if you have an ocean view or shore room, but every penny is worth the service, cleanliness, and comfort of this special place. Can't wait to visit again!!! read more

Cabo Surf is a hidden gem and first class operation. We've been staying and eating at the Cabo Surf for decades and it just gets better and better, while maintaining a mellow, relaxed and private atmosphere that is a huge contrast to the mega-hotels that have sprung up along the San Jose-Cabo corridor. The hotel overlooks Old Mans and The Rock surf breaks, so if you surf, it's super convenient. And if you don't surf (like me), the hotel provides complimentary chaise lounges/umbrellas on the beach, and you can order food and cocktails while you watch your friends surf. The 7 Seas restaurant, which is delish, directly overlooks these surf breaks so it's like your own personal surf movie. Staff members go out of their way to make this a great experience - you can tell they like their jobs, they are genuinely nice and friendly. Rooms are lovely, the housekeepers keep things sparkling and go the extra mile. Can't wait to go back. read more

Went out first night here and had a wonderful dinner at the 7 Seas Restaurant. Wanted to go back today to enjoy a nice lunch, drinks and beach time. Since we are not staying at hotel we brought our own towels and beach chair. The guy at gate was great and asked if we had a surfboard or boogie board. We said no. Parked and walked along hotel walkway to beach. We were stopped and told we had to move our car and walk down public steps next to hotel. We asked for manager telling him we had been for dinner the previous night and planned to have drinks and lunch today. After much discussion he said ok but we would have to leave by public access. I told him that my husband is handicapped and he would not be able to do that as there areno railings. I mentioned that we will be eating and drinking and had such a great dinner that we would return a couple more times. No go. So we left and will not return. Really disappointing. We just got home from a week at the Cabo Surf! It was our first visit but will definitely not be our last! We had the master ocean room which was very comfortable for five of us. The bathrooms were large, the beds were comfortable and the deck overlooking the ocean was amazing! The service at the hotel is five star...from barbara at the front desk who seemed to handle everything from reservations, check in, towel service and other tasks with a big smile on her face, the waiters were all amazing and efficient, the orange flag at the beach chair was a hit...and the waiter was there within a minute of raising it taking our food and drink order. The pools and jacuzzi were so relaxing overlooking the beach...the volleyball, bocce ball, soccer and fuseball were all a bonus! And the surfing was just perfect for beginners and the experienced surfer! The highlight was New Year's Eve on the beach watching no less than 15 firework shows up and down the coast! We highly recommend this hotel and can hardly wait to return! Thank you to all the staff for their hard work and efficiency! read more
