This place is a scam. It's isolated from the rest of Cabo and they over charge for everything. They charged me $63 USD for three cans of beer at the pool bar. They didn't even pour the beer into a glass. Just served it in the aluminum can. I get better service at my local 7-11. Food quality is not very good, and prices are very high. A hamburger at the sports bar is $27 USD. They tried to charge us over $100 for movies we didn't watch. Then instead of apologizing and removing the errant charges from our bill, the person at the front desk made us wait for over 45 minutes while he contacted the IT department and checked on the times each movie was supposedly watched. We told him our shuttle was waiting and we needed to get to the airport, but this person, Adonis, just took his time and casually investigated and wrote town the times of each movie. No apologies. Just proceeded to waste our groups time. Now we're rushing to the airport 45 minutes later than we had planned. It seems like this may be a regular occurrence, since the couple checking out next to us were complaining about the same thing. read more

This place has gone down hill! Such a disappointment. The sports bar is a total joke and rip offs. The food is not hot and they don't tell you that an A la Carte Taco is $10. Service was turtle slow! For a sports bar they are trying to tailor it like a restaurant and it's truly a joke. If you can avoid eating at the resort please do so. Go into town for a better experience on your buck. Another issue is folks playing loud speakers by the pool. Entitled American idiots that have no respect or courtesy for others. This resort looks like a 5 star but the service is a 3 star. Don't be surprised that when you checkout that you will pay an additional $150-200 dollars in Mexican taxes alone. these include IVA federal tax, sanitation fees, restaurant fees, service charge, Solmar Foundation charges. As a member of the Resort we are very disappointed that they would try use our credit cards. Without our permission and charge and blame it on the computer system. After we have arrived home 2 weeks later charges are still being processed and no one can help with the situation. I called , left messages. E mails. And not the supervisor, manager Angel, Maya, Marco . Can do anything about it . This charger were made by the Resort without our Approval . they charged $3500. Now I had to report them as Fraud to my credit card company. Be careful when you check inn at the front desk . Title: Still Love Grand Solmar, But Please... Let the Bell Staff Breathe! I've been an owner at Grand Solmar Lands End for 12 years -- starting in a one-bedroom, then a two-bedroom, and now we own a three-bedroom penthouse. The resort is still beautiful, and the housekeeping staff is as outstanding as ever. My Concern: Under the new management, the bell staff uniforms have changed to long-sleeve shirts and long pants year-round. While they look attractive, they are not practical for Cabo's hot, humid weather. In the past, the team wore khaki shorts and lightweight polos in different colors each day -- cooler and far more comfortable. What I Saw: When we arrived, it was 90°F with 85% humidity. Several staff members were sweating heavily, visibly overheated, and lacked their usual spark. As a nurse, I know the risk of heat exhaustion and heatstroke is real. As someone who cares deeply about these employees, it was heartbreaking to see them uncomfortable and struggling in the heat. Suggestion: Consider uniforms that are both professional and safe -- perhaps lightweight, breathable, moisture-wicking options during the hot months. Your bell staff work incredibly hard and deserve attire that supports their health. Another Change I Missed: The beautiful signature "Grand Solmar" green tea scent was nowhere to be found this trip. In the past, it welcomed you in many areas of the resort and created that "I'm home" feeling for returning guests. It's a small touch that makes a big difference -- I hope it comes back. P.S. To Management: Please remember -- Cabo's summer heat is unforgiving. We were treated to breakfast, discounted adventure tours, and a free one week stay with them. Great Resort, But We Got Scammed by Eleve Travel Club Grand Solmar has a beautiful location and great pools, but our experience was ruined by a scam that took place right inside the resort. We were offered perks in exchange for attending a timeshare pitch. After declining several offers, we were pitched the Eleve Travel Club by Sebastian, who claimed it was backed by Solmar. It sounded like a legit travel membership at a reasonable price, so we signed up. We canceled within the 5-day contract window--no services were ever used. Despite multiple emails and texts to Sebastian, and direct outreach to Solmar, we've received no response and no refund. This was a SCAM. They took our money and disappeared. It's incredibly disappointing that this is allowed to happen under the Solmar name. Travelers: avoid the timeshare and Eleve Travel Club offers completely. read more

I want to take a moment for those going to Cabo. At the airport as you're leaving look for the counter with Ivan Garcia. He will get you some outstanding deals on things to do while there. I highly recommend him. Keep in mind to get these deals you will need to attend a 90 minute sales pitch for the Grand Solamar Spa and Resort. Someone didn't wash their hands and my wife got sick from the fruit bowl with the strange red spice sprinkled on top. I had a few pieces of it just to try the jicama and honeydew, and I myself had two bouts of the runs that night. We were at the tables in the pool next to the swim up bar. But she ate the whole bowl, or most of it anyway, and was deathly ill with diarrhea for two days and one night of just being too weak to go out. I bought anti-diarrhea meds at the drug store which did nothing to help. Then she called the hotel doctor who had the nerve to charge for the room visit, after being e-coli poisoned by the hotel. The doc gave her more anti-diarrhea meds and Cipro to kill the bacteria. She felt better but still not good enough to feel comfortable being too far from our toilet, not to mention being physically drained from not having eaten much with the nausea. The hotel manager pointed out that she joined us for sushi on Wednesday night as if it might have been raw fish that had anything to do with this 20 hours after it started...or maybe that she must have been okay at that point. No, she just wanted to be with us, and it was a 4:00 meal that we started at that time because our meal plan was going to expire at 5:00...but more so because tea and rice are two major components of the BRAT diet. I got bananas and toast from the Corner Store near the lobby, earlier that day when I bought the anti-diarrhea meds. This started on Tuesday night, which is when I had to move to the murphy bed because she was running to the toilet so often. Wednesday night the whole family stayed in the room and watched a movie. Thursday night she did not join us to go to dinner in town at Chubby Noodle, so that was just me and our boys. The hotel brought her chicken soup, with the chicken and veggies on the side. She had the soup broth with bread and said it was delicious. I also brought back electrolyte water and probiotics from the drug store across the street from Chubby Noodle. It was very nice of the hotel to bring the soup, but the damage was done. After two nights on the murphy bed I moved back into the master bedroom on Thursday, and by Friday we could start being a family again. Funny, because we got the boys their own adjoining suite for the first time, thinking we'd need the privacy...so the extra bed in our room came in handy but for the wrong reason. Through no fault of our own, three nights out of seven nights were taken away from us, because we could not do things as a family on a family vacation. We still love the property and the staff is wonderful...but it only takes one guy with shit on his hands making a fruit salad, for me to want half of the cost of this trip back. This vacation was roughly $6000. So yeah, I feel ripped off and robbed of both time and money. Maybe Mexico doesn't have the signs everywhere that employees must wash their hands when they leave the bathroom. I always thought those signs were silly, but that's because they're not for me. We really enjoyed our first trip to this resort for my brothers wedding. We stayed on the property in a 2 bedroom suite and loved the experience. The rooms were spacious and were cleaned both in the morning and again in the evening for turndown service. The property has several pools including swim up bars and restaurants with cuisine choices for everyone - the shrimp tacos at the sports bar were my favorite lunch pick. Breakfast at La Roca was delicious - you have to get the fruit salad, green juice, and omelette. Dinner portions throughout the week include taco night, Italian night, Brazilian rodizio, and sushi night. We spent many days lounging by the pool and appreciated the attentive service for food and drinks. Everyone was willing to help and make sure we were taken care of. If you're looking for an all inclusive with beautiful views, walking distance to the marina and restaurants, and good service - look no further than the GSLE! I stayed here as a solo traveler. The hotel is beautiful with waterfalls all over, several pools, plenty of lounge chairs available even when crowded. The rooms are spacious and housekeeping is top notch. I advise going all inclusive because I bought only the American breakfast package only was stupid. You have a very limited choice of 4 items to choose from for breakfast. They upcharged me $2 to add cheese to my eggs! It is NOT full Menu and a waste of money. Alcoholic drinks ran about $16.99 each was a bit excessive to me but they were very good. In past I've stayed at several different hotels in Cabo. This one has the best tasting food hands down! The only major problem I encountered was I have family in Cabo and every time they attempted to pick me up from the lobby they got stopped by security at the gate and would not let them drive in to pick me Up. Even after I had my family's name listed On my account and gave them the make and model of the vehicle, service at the security gate was beyond difficult and would make me walk down to the gate to get my ride. The hotel informed me you have to do the same thing if you get an uber somewhere. For security purposes they don't let them in either but my family is not uber. And the hotel manager Marcos said it was against regulations to let my family through to pick me up at the lobby entrance. They would not budge even with my family's name Showed their ID and used my room number and name they still would not let him through no exceptions. I appreciate and understand good security but this was beyond over board and happened every day. I found this to be poor customer service and the hotel manager would not bend so my family could pick me up. My family is not uber and lives in Cabo. I found this a bit much and unacceptable making walk down to the gate to be picked up. Only taxis are allowed through. There should be exceptions to the rule. This experience alone is enough to make me question staying here again as I would like to, but not sure I will because of No leniency for certain circumstances. Security would let us through when I was in the car when my family would drop me back off at the hotel but couldn't get in otherwise was a bit overkill is the only reason I gave service 3 stars. read more

We love coming here each year for rest and relaxation. We love morning walks on the marina, rock hike with Enrique, local restaurants, pool food and room service (thanks for your help, Andreas!), gorgeous views oceanfront and even rooms that are not oceanfront seem like they have a view to see the ocean. Alfonzo was especially helpful at the front desk - thank you! Viri is always so kind and sweet. Our son got to go to Kids Club for years and although he is too old now, we all still enjoy catching up with Viri when we are there. My family and I always have a wonderful time at GSLE. We have been coming for years and it never gets old. Ricardo at the adult pool is 12/10, best service all week. He takes great care of everyone and you can tell he loves his job! Always smiling. Biggest standout for the week. ((EDIT: Jonathan could spend a day or week with Ricardo to see how to serve adult pool. The last few days he's been here has been utterly disappointing. We don't see him until 10am or later, he doesn't greet everyone. He seems to pick a few guests and only focus on them. We have to flag him down to order anything. Going from Ricardo to Jonathan has been difficult for most. Serving this pool should be a privilege to the staff as the guests know and understand they have to run to get drinks and stay on top of it. He disappears for 30-60 min and comes back with nothing. Unacceptable.)) Eduardo at Brisas took lovely care of my mom and I as well! Manny and Roberto always welcome us home, and we love seeing their smiling faces first, and through the entire trip. Negatives... the furniture through out the property is dated, bulky, and straight up ugly in the rooms and at the pools. Hopefully this starts to change out soon. The bathrooms in the suites are not clean, shower heads with mildew and hard water, one of them was straight up turquoise. Doesn't appear the shower glass is cleaned regularly either. Grand Solmar... It's okay. It was our first trip to Cabo San Lucas and our first all-inclusive resort with a child. We did a ton of research before booking. This hotel always popped up in the "top 10" of whichever sponsored or non-sponsored sham advertisement site I looked at. It was tough to find honest or genuine reviews, and I certainly don't buy into TripAdvisor. I also looked at YouTube a lot--same thing, a ton of bs 2-minute videos about the place but nothing good. Well, there was one, but it also seemed like Grand Solmar paid them to be here because they were able to show every single room in the hotel somehow. So, here we are. I'd give this resort a 5 out of 10 or 3 out of 5. When we arrived, I was stoked. A margarita cart in the lobby! However, the check-in process was terrible! It took about an hour. First, they check you in and pre-charge your card for $500.00. THEN you believe you're going to schedule your dining, but INSTEAD, they send you to a sales pitch person and a timeshare free breakfast! Not only do you get a "fantastic" non-rushed free breakfast for visiting a sister property, but they will knock off 100 bucks on an excursion! At no time is she telling us the rub... we're just "visiting" the new property up the coast for half a day to eat breakfast. We had to ask, "It's a sales pitch, right?" And she finally divulged what it was. Once that debacle was done, we had to walk over and introduce ourselves to the concierge, who wasn't overly excited to input our reservations for our stay. Only to be told, "You don't really need reservations." Yes, if you don't mind waiting up to an hour. So once that is out of the way things went okay. The pools are plentiful and decent. Some look dirtier then others, perhaps due to the beach or people. We went in august and the pool had to be 90 degrees. It wasn't very refreshing. For the most part it was peaceful at the pool. There would always be the occasional college kid or adult throwing them back but there was never a problem. It was pretty easy getting seat at either pool. Fun fact, you can only get bottled water via a pool waiter or the front desk. Otherwise you get two 16oz bottles in your room a day. You also can't get any sort of coffee or ice cream unless you pay for it (outside the all inclusive) or go sit down, get served, sign your receipt and leave which took us 30 minutes for a cup of coffee. If you don't do the all inclusive the menu prices are a joke. For a Sizzler style steak they charge $60 and $12 for a craft beer. Blended drinks at the pool are about $20.00 after tip, if you don't do all inclusive. As for the food. It's meh! My old lady hated the food here. Me and the kid thought it was okay. La Roca, their flagship was disappointing. The steak was very difficult to cut and tasted like it was select meat. The pork dish had no flavor which I found odd. The white fish was overdone and rubbery. Don Luis was meh too. Once again the fish was rubbery. The fried version was okay but had zero flavor. Once again the beef filet was hard to cut. The Asian Lounge was interesting. The food was okay but the only downside was that it was only outdoors. Tough when it's 95 outside with 70% humidity. We're wine drinkers and the wine that is included is terrible. Like $7.99 terrible. You can buy a lot of good wines but they mark up the bottle 3x the price. So if it cost $40.00 in the states it will cost you 120.00 here. It's difficult to pay $120 for La Crema... The rooms are decent and spacious. But the amenities are lacking. For instances we asked for slippers and we got used re-washed slippers. Our TV didn't work and we were told that they needed new parts. I cut my foot at the pool and the front desk said I had to buy bandaids. The bed was uncomfortable, stiff, we didn't sleep well. There was also odd sounds coming from our room. From water pipes to the fridge. So, would I come back here. Probably not. I'm sure there are better places but it depends what you're looking for. The location is cool, secluded and quiet but it comes with too many issues. read more

Stayed at Grand Solmar while on vacation with the family and we had a WONDERFUL time. The hotel is beautiful and well appointed. We were very comfortable there and took advantage of all that it had to offer -- and there is alot. We had a beach front room (I think most rooms are since it sits on the beach) so we fell asleep with the waves crashing against the shore and woke to breathtakng views. There were tons of activities happening at the resort and we took in most of them. This includes an "Open air market" where local artisans had an opportunity to sell their wears -- it was very nice. Perhaps one of the best expereinces was the resturaunts! Each one had its own style and the food was very good. The wait staff was attentive and freely made suggestions when asked. Standouts were Freddy and Elianit at LaRoca who were just wonderful as we had breakfast their daily. Alexis from the Sports Bar was also wonderful as he remembered my order from previous nights and was incredibly personal and attentaive. We chose the "All-Inclusive" option and definetly took full advantage. Gregorio at LaRoca and Fernando at poolside were also staff members worth mentioning! Graciela was our housekeeper and made sure we always had clean linens, towels and tolitries. I read through a few other reviews that mention being put-off based on the timeshare "scam" and I get it. Timeshares are BIG in Cabo but if you are firm that you are not interested from the beginning you will have a better experience. I know it can be tough becuase the offers are AMAZING but just keep in mind there is a reason why they are so amazing! We are looking forward to returning! read more

I didn't stay here (but at another amazing resort) but was told about a package at the airport I could get free massages, boat tour, taxi and half of my money back (& they wanted at first to cancel my boat tour I had booked but I told them I wasn't going to) if I watched a 1hr 30min presentation about the hotel, it's their way to let us see it & to use them the next time we come to Cabo, because most resorts were American owned. That's all they told us about it. Turned out to be a 2hr or more of them trying to get us to buy a really expensive time share. I mean 5 different people will come to you with different offers when you keep telling them no. But apparently it's a scam and they are not truthful about the fees & when you can use it. Also apparently people don't get what they were promised if they say no and stand their ground like we did. Thankfully, my BFF speaks Spanish so they actually gave us everything but the taxi, the taxi back to the airport was non existent, the Hilton did warn us about this. So it was no surprise to see that the taxi wasn't real. This resort has great Potential if it wasn't for scam artists trying to get you to get in debt by purchasing a timeshare. People come to Cabo to vacation and relax, not to get scammed into a 3 hour Presentation and timeshare. Still had an amazing girls trip in Cabo, Cabo it's self is beautiful and fun to be at. Just watch out for scams. I've traveled all over Mexico even the non-touristy cities and I understand the hustle, you got to make a living. Absolutely beautiful resort! Stunning views! Infinity pools were amazing! Food was great for being all inclusive. And the whales- just wow! We definitely had a relaxing week. We went for my 35th birthday- definitely was a bit of an older crowd and not much for a party. I may have had more expectations of shows & fun activities around the pool or in the evenings. Service by the pools was hit or miss until we found "our waiter". He even waited on us when we decided to try a different pool for the day. The coconut shrimp was a hit with our group- so must try! Had 2 massages- one with my aunt & one with the bf. I thankfully had the same masseuse both massages and I would have brought her home with me if I could have! Aunt & bf loved theirs also. I have no real complaints- the all inclusive is kinda exclusive (make sure you read through it before you pay for it). I recommend maybe not paying for it for every day of your trip- there is a TON to see & do in the marina (which is walking distance). ALL bars close super early. And don't expect your massages to be quiet with ocean waves only (there are tour boats blasting music following the shoreline from morning to sunset- it's still relaxing though. We have been members since 2009. We purchased from a paper and a leap of faith. We haven't regretted the decision. Over the years of visiting we can always count on consistent, over the top service from the staff all around, the immaculate grounds, impeccable rooms (including awesome, thorough housekeeping service), state of the art, clean gym and the assorted array of cuisine. This will always be our happy place away from home and look forward to visiting every other year. This visit we did notice a change with regards to the pool area and lounge chairs. We enjoy that this resort takes into consideration that people enjoy to hang at the various pools and so they have invested enough chairs and umbrellas. If there is an area that you like to be in and it has no umbrellas just ask. The pool servers will do everything they can to accommodate you and your needs. We met Francisco (tall), Giliberto, Victor and Domingo who didn't disappoint in providing EXCELLENT service. Just note...if you stay longer than a week or your week crosses months, the servers rotate areas. They have really tried to ensure that chairs that are being "saved" are not saved longer than the allotted time (15 or so min) especially in the high demanded areas (the main pool - Las Olas). My husband and I went down to the main pool and got 4 chairs for us and the kids (who were finishing up their workouts in the gym). Domingo asked us 2x when they will be coming, because we would have to give up our chairs and one time he had just missed our son who went to go change. We do commend the team for looking out for those that save chairs for hours and than expect to return to them, but all we ask that the inquiring be consistent. If they experience that, they will kindly gather your things and store them. The gentleman next to us came down the same time and saved a chair for his wife, but even when came back from the pool, he was never asked about the empty chair. His wife was at another pool on top of it. There is still room for improvement. We spent our last 2 days by the pool in a Cabana at the Family Pool and it was well worth it. If you are an owner, there may be certain pricing which we learned about. The Cabana came with a certain dollar amount of food credit, which we used easily. Just can't be used together with the 2x1 happy hour. Also, they brought us complimentary plate of fruit and pineapple with cinnamon (sooo good). Domingo was very helpful with securing both days especially if someone reserved and did a no show after 10am. My daughter sprained her foot the night before and the resort went over the top of assisting with her injury from wheeling her down to our room, to checking up on her the next day with a poolside medic. He came to look at it, applied a cream and than wrapped it. Again, it just shows how the resort takes into consideration each guests' well being during their stay. We walked into town almost nightly since it we enjoy to experience the local cuisine. Depending where you are looking to eat, you can walk to downtown in about 15-30 minutes (a mile walking the marina to the mall area and about another quarter to half a mile to Breathless resort). There are always taxis everywhere or a restaurant can help with getting transportation so that is never an issue. An Uber can take only take you to the first check point, but it can be cheaper. The concierge assisted with our tour and sunset cruise. Remember a lot of the activities are paid in cash, so prepare for that. There is an ATM right at the very bottom to the right of the road before you cross the street of the round-a-about. We had a wonderful time and as there is no resort that will get everything perfect, Grand Solmar strives to in every which way and if you have an issue please speak with front desk as they will attempt to do their best to resolve. This was one of my favorite places to go ,but this last time I went,it was sad. The resort was lackluster and the service was not good anymore. I believe it's under new management (a different family member) . The people that work there just don't seem very happy anymore. The only way I can describe it is ,it lost all its color... it now is very black and white,so to speak. I don't think will go back again and I don't recommend it. SCAM SCAM SCAM From the airport to the resort, they try to take your money for time shares and other pakcages. They got me and my wife and after we reviewed the contract. we cancelled the contract within 5 days, those are terms of the contract they spelled out in their own words. They still denied us our deposit back. We have been fighting with for weeks. We have names, numbers, and text message proof of their lies, and the company still will not help us. Do not support this resort, do not stay there!!!! All of their packages from all-inclusive to time shares are a scam and rip off. Yes, the views are great, but it is not worth being on guard of your money and peace of mind, while on vacation with your family. A vacation that costs a small fortune and is not worth it. It's a great location, but customer service has been sub par. 1. I was not allowed to take photos on the property with my hired photographer. You have to use theirs. 2. Our room was not ready at check in time 3. Alfonso was the rep who checked us in and gave us such attitude like he was doing us a favor by giving us our room key. 4. Kristin at the front desk will literally follow you and your family out of the lobby for drink tickets that come with an 8 hour time share. She also called our room at 8 PM while my son was asleep to try and schedule you for a time share. People come here to enjoy a get away. Not to be hounded!! read more

I have not stayed at a bunch of all-inclusive resorts, but this one is definitely the best. Top notch everything. We rented the Grand Master Suite, which at 1200 sq ft provided more than enough space for the wife and I. Everything was clean in the room and worked, plus the rooms were built so little to no outside noise made it in. Furthermore, no noise from the neighbors either. As far as the amenities on the resort, they were very good, and at the time, they offered us part-time all-inclusive for 3 days, we should have taken them up on the offer since it was nice just to stay nearby and enjoy the beautiful infinity pools overlooking the ocean. They also have a large, up to date gym, which was amazing and a spa. The restaurants were very good, food above average, but pricy and for the most part service was good. We had terrible service one morning for breakfast and it took my wife grabbing the manager for us to get any help. We rented a rental car, you can walk into Cabo, about a 5 minute walk, but we wanted to travel around. Depending on how adventurous you are, it might be a option to consider. We will definitely stay here again. It is worth checking out if you come to Cabo. read more

Another great stay at Grand Solmar. In reading some of the previous reviews, I'm seeing several complain about: 1 - how you can't swim on the pacific side of the coast. 2 - food is good but not very local or prices are outrageous. Let me just first say that, uh, yes. You can't swim on the pacific side of the coast. This goes for the numerous hotels on the pacific side. If you're looking to walk in the ocean, here are some options -- take the water taxi over there and enjoy the tourist filled beaches. OR better yet, enjoy what Grand Solmar has to offer -- one of the numerous pools that's facing the ocean. Did I mention that you can't swim on pacific side of the coast? Hah. Another thing I've seen that is along the same lines is the mentioning of the "beach nazi". Now, I don't know how accurate this is because I was able to enjoy a walk along the coast with my husband. We gave our room number and was able to enjoy the waves, water and private beach. There are few people walking along the coast but that's why you come to stay at the Grand Solmar, right? We were also able to enjoy pretty amazing food at Grand Solmar. We dined at Don Luis, La Roca, the Sports Bar, and in room dining. Without saying, there's an additional service fee for in-room dining but all the food is really directed towards the tourists (which is who stay at Grand Solmar, duh). We were able to ask for spices, salsas, all the condiments, and more. Everything we had was fresh, and reasonably priced. I enjoyed that when we were pool side, the service was amazing. They'd inform us of options and happy hours. Now if you're looking to adventure out of the comfort zone, going into the marina is worth it. You have tons of options. I highly recommend looking at my other lists because we were able to enjoy delicious foods made by locals. If saving a few bucks here and there for you is important, hey. Do it! Besides, it's part of the traveling wanderlust in all of us, don't you think? NOW! Onto my review of the recent stay. We stayed for a week and had a beautiful room in building 3. Room house keeping was incredible. Anytime we needed something from softer pillows, blender, cleaning, or extra towels? They were on it. When we dined at any of the establishments on the resort, the service was on it and the food is what we expected. Although the resort is a credit only, I want to say that it doesn't hurt to ever tip anyone in cash. As a server, I know this. Our room was incredible to say the least. Really. I mean, the view, I kept taking pictures of it throughout the day. There wasn't a bad moment. Boats throughout the day, waves crashing, none of the city sound nonsense. We met with Shelley for an update on the resorts and what I appreciate is the no fluff approach. She's straight up and anyone going to these presentations know that it's filled with a lot of fluff. It didn't last longer than an hour and half. We got some food and beverage credits out of it, so we can't complain. It was a win-win. OVERALL, I highly recommend this spot. It's a great distance into the marina. There isn't a bunch of tourists hoarding the beachside or noise. It's so relaxing! The resort is nicely laid out, elegant and clean. But these are the only nice things to say about it. Everything else is below grade and uncompetitive. In particular, the food is very mediocre, and incredibly expensive by local standards. In average, between twice and three times more than any other restaurant downtown Cabo San Lucas downtown, only 5 minutes away by foot. At every turn, you feel nickel and dimed: they don't replenish the coffee you consume in the room and charge you for refills. The coffee bar around the corner only takes cash, even though the resort has your credit card on file. The service in every restaurant is extremely slow. It took us almost an hour from when we ordered our food to when it was served. It took 15' for the waiter to bring us a glass of water and take our order. American tourists are taken advantage of at every turn. They are lured by an attractively priced room with a sea view. Everything else is extra charge, and unreasonably expensive. We have stayed in many other resorts on the Cabo peninsula. This one offers the worst value because the business model is based on "nothing included, everything is extra charge", from the lounge chairs around the pool to a bottle of water in the gym. We will never stay here again as there are so many other better choices around. read more

My only regret about this review is that more people are going to know about this hidden gem. Well I can't really call it a hidden "gem" because Solmar Land's End is one of the top 20 hotels in Los Cabos. Honestly I would put it in the top 10 as someone who has been too Cabo a dozen times and all over the world. I manage a young TikToker and both him and his girlfriend loved the resort. I was there to witness hands on this spectacular property. You will not get a better location. So close to the ocean that you can feel a gentle breeze from the waves splashing against the sand. All the pools (there are more than any property I have ever seen) are always sparkling clean, the grounds are kept so tidy, and the customer service will exceed even the most discriminating guest. The second day during our trip a hurricane hit (category two) and within 24 hours the resort was back to normal like nothing happened. Around the clock the staff worked hard while guests were sleeping to clean everything and put back all the furniture. Something you would only expect from a 5 star resort. The rooms and furnishings are upscale with a nautical-mediterannean twist. Its like 1 hotel with a Spanish influence. Friends and business colleagues were so impressed when they came for dinner that they checked out of Le Blanc Resort (over 1K a night!) just to stay at Land's End. Their air conditioners were not working after the hurricane and the manager at Le Blanc were nice enough to refund them. They kept thanking me the entire trip for introducing them to Land's End. They felt it was more higher end than Le Blanc and were paying half the price. Lastly, I would like to thank some of their incredible team. These name's will stay in my contacts so I can continue to refer more friends and family to the property for years to come. Book and extra day just to get to know your way around and discover your favorite pool spot to read a book and have a bite. For me, their Deli Cafe salmon Bagel was always so fresh and delicious with a lot of salmon. I also loved their sports bar's chicken wings. Restaurants are carefully scattered around the beach for unbelievable scenery views while you dine. Don't forget to tip your hotel staff including your in room cleaning crew. Enjoyed this place although all inclusive was $100 a day. Enjoyed my birthday weekend stay 6/17 - 6/19. However 9 days later I'm currently going through loops trying to get my payment back for the automatic hold they do when checking in. Called all numbers available yet Reffered me to their only US 8663212226 number which no one has answered or returned a call in 2 days. Yes I left voicemails. I'm not sure what to think about this place. Very disappointing that I haven't received my hold and it's been 9 days since my stay . I will give the location a five star, the property a five star, the view for sunrise and sunset a five star. This is my first visit to Cabo and I am disappointed with certain things. First if you aren't Caucasian you have to work harder to get any help, some of the staff are very friendly and pleasant and then there's a few that can ruin your vacation.... I usually don't like to write reviews but decide to do this hopefully someone else don't get hassled like I did. Watch out for all the sales pitch, it started at the airport and never stop every where you go. These guys might be the best sales team I came across it's sounds too good to be true.
