Great store if you are a lover of sweets. You can buy stuff by the pound, by the bag or by the box. The traditional Salt Water Taffy can be purchased here many different ways. Cabot's Candy got its start in 1927, hand-pulling saltwater taffy in small, local fairs. The popularity of this delectable seashore treat led to the opening of this beautiful little corner store and factory, where they still operate today. The product lines have grown to include award winning fudge, shockingly good peanut brittle, specialty flavored popcorn, baked goods and so many delicious sweets. The store carries a large selection of delicious candy.....bin after bin of weigh your own gummies and chocolate covered treats, penny candy, fine truffles and chocolate bars, regionally made maple candy and caramels, and so much more.

Small portion of the taffy I got. its really NOT very good. Maybe spoiled, im not sure.

Warning: Literally the worst saltwater taffy I've ever had. Weird texture (like its melted), and bad tastes. I love saltwater taffy and have had it from all over the country and northeast, and this is next to inedible it's so bad. I got one of every flavor and two of a few that I had to throw away. I spit basically everyone out except the peppermint. There is tons of other candy here that I'm sure is good, and the cost of the taffy was reasonable. The store and staff are nice, the saltwater taffy is just inedible. Take it as you will I guess! But fair warning about the taffy. Super weird.

I came here with a friend to buy saltwater taffy. We each came here for 30 pieces specifically for some reason. I also looked for some of my other favorite candies but wasn't able to find the gummy sharks that they usually have. I'll look next time I visit. In Truro, this is the best place to buy taffy because there are so many options. They have some of my favorite flavors there including chocolate, grape, lemon-lime, blue raspberry, and cotton candy. The store also has great prices. Thirty pieces of taffy were around four dollars. I'm happy. Kind of dangerous though because they have plenty of good options, but good for a "vacation diet, though. I look forward to coming back soon.

Embarrassed to share that we stopped in Cabot's every night for something. It started with us buying treats for gifts for those taking care of our pets, but by the time we returned to our rental, we seemed to have lost a few items. No idea what happened, but they were in the bag when we left the store and just wrappers when we go home. So many yummy treats and fun staff. Worth the visit and easy to find.

Friendly atmosphere and extensive selection of saltwater taffy made in-house. Some flavors are definitely better than others but that's half the fun of taffy anyway.

A lovely choice for all kinds of candies, fudge and salt water taffy. We picked up some of the "throwback" candies and gum (like Chowards) that aren't available in most places. Lots of scoop-able candy choices that kids of all ages will enjoy. Just...PLEASE...keep your kids from raw-hand-bin-candy grabbing? Thanks!

Very professional. Excellent customer service. Friendly and super fast, careful delivery. Wide variety of specialty candies.

    Sticky mess...

Super disappointed by the texture of their taffy. Never had this issue with their taffy before. It was all super soft and completely stuck to the wax paper and got all over our fingers. Kinda yucky... And no, it didn't sit in a hot car all day. It was the last thing bought before our trip home in a very air-conditioned car.

The nostalgic feeling you get when you go into this place. Leaves you feeling like a child again. If you've ever vacationed as a child and gone to a candy store this place will definitely rekindle some of those feelings. The music is fifties but it's appreciated. Salt water taffy made on premises! The candy is bulk so have a blast picking a little bit of everything you love. The staff is super friendly and they have fudge!

The shop has the best maple fudge I've ever had. The fudge is made in copper vats, small batches. I don't normally like fudge but holy cow this was delicious And such a treat! You can choose from vanilla, maple, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, almond chocolate, white chocolate, chocolate Caramel among others. Love the music in the store, has you dancing through the aisles! They ship as well!

CHECK YOUR FUDGE BEFORE LEAVING THE STORE!! They gave me left over crumbs in a box and called it fudge at 17 bucks a pound. WE will not return.

Truth be told, the real reason we stopped into Cabot's was not for candy, but for a local's recommendation on where to eat in Provincetown. Our visit took place mid-November, so many of the restaurants were "closed for the season", which made tracking down a good bite to eat a bit tough. The staff at Cabot's was very friendly, and suggested a close by spot called The Canteen. We ended up purchasing some cute little lobster gummies and some salt water taffy. Both were delicious! This spot is charming, and a great place to pick up souvenirs! We were grateful that they were open and that the staff was so helpful.

    Homemade fudge!

The Gibralters come in lemon and peppermint flavor - they are big pieces of candy that are made to be broken and shared. The inside of Ye Olde Pepper Companie is very small, the line took up the entire store and people actually had to wait outside until people left before they could come in. The line moved quickly though and they were very organized when helping customers. There are no tables to sit at, just tables, cases and shelves of candy! They offered chocolates, fudge, Saltwater Taffy, caramel corn and even brittles. Is it the best candy in the world? No, but I love knowing that I got to visit and purchase candy from the oldest one in America. Staff were very friendly and they gave me a See's Candy vibe minus the cute little outfits. I will definitely visit again if I get the chance! Check out a part of history!

They demeaned and accused my son of crushing candies, when he picked up a baggie of Lego candies, and was checking if the pieces align. The older blonde woman that works there, yelled at him not to crush the candy, he replied that he was not crushing anything, just looking at the pieces. To which the woman yelled out that he was lying and she saw him. My older teen and her boyfriend, who were in charge of babysitting, came back to tell me of the incident. As I went to the store to figure out what happened, as the girls at the front were lazily sitting there without acknowledging any customers, I told them that they had accused my 9 year old son (who btw is probably one of the calmest kids I know, who just happens to love Legos and science, hence the curiosity for the Lego candy) of crushing candy. They denied knowledge of the incident and called the older woman to the front, who just started being rude, confrontational, snd paranoid as of what we were doing with our phones. Since I took some pictures prior, as I travel around the world and have a social media platform that posts about travel. She yelled for us to leave if we didn't like it, and then to just leave the store when I told her she was rude. How can an unhinged person like that run a candy store who mainly caters to children, yet seems to hate them??? As we were leaving, she just went out the store and was still yelling something, paranoid we recorded her. P.S.: This is not only a Candy Store, it's an OVERPRICED, STALE Candy, Cash only, RUDE, and unhinged Candy extravaganza store. Chatham could do so much better than this junk.
