That said, it's a lovely beach town candy shop and their fudge isn't as in-your-face sweet as others. The staff is sweet (all pun intended). The place is small and if you happen not to have children, you probably don't wanna go in when it's mobbed with little children giddy with excitement to get their candy. They have all kinds of flavors like oreo, white chocolate oreo, turtle, peanut butter, chocolate mint, cappuccino, etc. They have a line of dark chocolate options called Fantasy - they have mint, raspberry and sea salt. You can pick the chocolates and make your own bag, or you can purchase bags they have pre-made. Still the best candy spot. They are celebrating 70 years this year They seemed to have a lot more chocolates this year than I've noticed before. Every time I visit Chatham, I always make time to stop at Candy Manor. Every small town on the East Coast has their candy shop, but I think this is one of the best. They make tons of cute candies, and all different shapes like lobsters and seashells. They also make tons of fresh chocolate candies, like truffles, turtles, and homemade peanut butter cups. But my all-time favorite thing here... Are the milk chocolate sea salt caramels. They are my absolute favorite sea salt caramels I've ever had. The chocolate is tempered perfectly, the caramel has an amazing flavor and texture, and they're salty enough so that the flavor is very balanced. Pretty impressed with the haul we got from this company. Decided to go with them for our Easter basket. Got a selection of gummies, Easter themed, sour, and regular, along with a chocolate bunny (because you have to; I think that's an Easter requirement) and their Easter gift pack, which included chocolate eggs, large malted milk chocolate balls, and chocolate covered marshmallow peeps (wow!). Was very pleased at the option to choose either dark or milk chocolate for the items - this basically NEVER happens. Usually, you have to sift through the offerings and just figure it out. And the dark chocolate Easter bunny is delish (yes we started early). The sour gummies are not as sour as I'd hoped (which could be a good thing for some); but my husband is now devoted to the sugar dusted gummies and wants only them for the foreseeable future - luckily, the prices are also more than reasonable. This place is too much fun. The selection of packaged candies and chocolates is really extensive and the service is really helpful. The chocolate covered Oreos are amazing, as are the chocolate buttercreams. Lots of different fun candy too - like candy Lego pieces, chocolate lobsters, etc. COVID: Very socially distanced, limited the number of patrons in the store to about 4 at a time. Took our daughter here and it did not dissapoint. They have a huge candy selection. They have a selection of more sugary/gummy candy which you pick out yourself, my daughter got a selection of that. Then the chocolate candies are behind the counter. My husband and I got that. We got the chocolate covered Oreos, peanut butter cup,caramels, and Oreo cream. Everything was delicious. I've been coming here since I was a kid in the 80s. My dad has been coming longer than that. This is not a place to go for just a cheap quick sugar fix. This is a place to really treat yourself, almost like a little short cameo at Willy Wonkas factory (Gene Wilder not Johnny Depp). Watching them make the fudge is half the fun of it for me. The store has all the best candies, from stuff you love but can rarely find (Chuckles) to an amazing selection of unique items like sour gummy lobsters or beautiful chocolate shells. And we always stop in for fudge anywhere we spot it. Judging from the overwhelmingly positive reviews it must have been a bad selection or a bad batch, but the two flavors (chocolate marshmallow & penuche) we tried tasted like artificially flavored soft sugar. The house made fudge is a fan favorite and really is a must-by if you enjoy fudge; they have a large flavor variety to choose from. The price point can be a tad high but in quaint Chatham, there are virtually no other options. The staff is very helpful and handles the crowds very well. I definitely recommend visiting if you are in the area and need a sugar boost (most especially after spending a fee days with kids down the Cape) or you just really want to see a cool specialty store. Old school candy maker, chocolatier, and fudge emporium! BAM!!! We were looking to fulfill a daughter request for saltwater taffy. In the summer months easy. In the winter months, not so easy, unless you stop at the Chatham Candy Manor. Not made in this shop, but locally. And in the corner, there were the bags. Of course, we had a happy camper arriving back home. We of course, couldn't walk out of this Eden of Sweets without a few pouches of various hand picked chocolates, valentine chocolate dipped peep style hearts, and frrrrrrresh fudge. Samples were also had! Take note of the back kitchen area where the magic happens and also notice the fully functional antique fudge pot stove near the front window. This all kicked me back on a nostalgia trip. The sugar buzz probably added to the euphoria. read more

We lived in Chatham for many years and moved away about 6 years ago. Decided to order a large assortment box and a small box of chocolates with caramel and nuts. This is no where near the same quality and taste of the chocolates we used to get there. Honestly, Whitman's is better. Some of nuts had a bit of a rancid taste and the taste of the chocolate--both milk and dark--were quite bland. Very disappointed. read more

Been coming here for years because they have the BEST chocolate! Yes, the actual chocolate that enrobes all the goodies like peanut butter cups, turtles, truffles etc! It's so smooth and good, not grainy like some of the cheap chocolate places. They're doing it right! They have a great selection of milk and dark chocolates, as well as various varieties of yummy fudge, and lots of other non-chocolates like gummy bears, jelly beans, old school candies and more. You'll be like a kid in a candy store....wink, wink:-) Visited during Covid and was VERY pleased to see the Covid protocols in place, masks, gloves, the whole nine yards. Only wish they had a taller plexiglass screen in front of the fudge. I passed on it because I don't like the idea of customers breathing their droplets out over the fudge that I'm going to consume.
