At 1:00 PM today I received an email from my fiance with an attached photo of a balloon bouquet delivered to his office. There were at least 10 balloons, "Love You", "Hugs & Kisses", etc. He thanked me for the nice surprise, xoxo love you too. Except, I did not send the balloons! So, for a brief moment, I thought about getting out the Big Bertha and going all "Elin Woods" on him, but I knew there had to be a mistake! He and a co-worker share the same first name...but there was no card either, the delivery person guessed, and guessed wrong. After we had a good laugh about the mix up, I was embarassed for him and felt terrible that he thought I had sent him an unexpected token of my affection just to find out that I wasn't so thoughtful after all! I immediately went to Yelp and looked up the closest local florist that could deliver same day. Not only did the gal on the phone listen to my story and laugh with me, she gave me the "back line" to the shop and had me speak to another lady who was able to put together a beautiful arrangement of red roses and balloons...but, and this is even funnier, she only had 11 red roses! We decided to put one pure white rose in the middle of the bouquet. The delived plant bowl did not resemble the picture on the website. The plants were looking very sickly and it made the arrangement look cheep and unattractive. This is the 3rd order from the same location. All three setups were beautiful but this last one slightly missed the mark. it was a 50th B-day and I asked for "5" deep red roses to be surrounded by Many bright colors.. What was received was "8" Deep red roses and a Beautiful color arrangement. I contacted the store and told them I was unhappy. They immediatly decided to drop the shipping costs and replace them but that just didn't seem enough. The recipient didn't want to give up her flowers. SO a discount was applied to the order that both I and the Company agreed with. I am willing to use them again. read more

The ABSOLUTE worse experience I have ever had ordering flowers! I made an order to have flowers delivered to my wife's work on Valentine's day. I looked at the exotic flower arrangements that Cactus Flower Florists carried. And I found one I knew my wife would love. They were a "Birds of Paradise" arrangement, we have just moved from Hawaii to Arizona and I thought it would be a great choice. I ordered and purchased the flowers and made sure that they would be able to be delivered by Feb. 14th Valentine's day. Well the day finally comes and my wife never gets the arrangements and when I call the florist to inquiry about the delivery a female employee, who I am later told name is Laura, tells me that the date of delivery was for Feb. 15th, now if I did not see that the flowers would have been delivered on valentine's day why would I schedule it for the day after, it kind of defeats the purpose, I would have looked somewhere else or just picked some up myself. Anyway she goes on to tell me they will not make any more deliveries that day. So I end the call now expecting them to deliver the arrangement on the 15th. Again the 15th is here and still by 330 p.m. my wife still has not received the flowers. I again call and ask about the delivery, after being transferred 3 times was told that on their system was a note saying that they had called me twice and left two messages (I never gotten any calls by them) that they did not have the birds of paradise flower and needed to have it replaced, this note was said by them to have been put in the system on the day I ordered the flowers. So not only did they say they called which they did not, but when I actually called them and spoke to a represenative nothing was told to me about this, nothing was ever mentioned about not having the flowers I ordered. Frustrated at the whole ordeal wanted it to be done with I agreed to let them send another "exotic" arrangement in its place. What my wife received that day was as pitiful arrangement as I have ever seen, not worth the over hundred dollars I spent. I could have pulled weeds out of my yard that were nicer! So to some it all up CACTUS FLOWER FLORIST is a sham and you should not waste your money here! read more

Horrible service. I used to live in AZ and used them frequently so I try to support them but the last 2 times they have been a total let down. Ordered flowers on a Tuesday for delivery on Wednesday. They couldn't get into hospital room but I didn't find this out until I called them at end of day. They promised to keep me updated. I stated that if they didn't get in by Saturday that the flowers should be delivered to the recipients home. I didn't hear from them for 3 days when they called to say the patient had been discharged....And it was too late in the day to deliver them to the home. read more

Skilled at apologies and "we'll fix it" not the place to go if you want it done right. I ordered 3 simple funerary pieces we could bring to the cemetery for my Dad's services. I picked items from their book rather than custom to avoid any confusion. Then it began...the greenhouse didn't deliver enough flowers, the delivery driver called ahead to confirm asking for the deceased, and the worst of it..the roses were fully open and if they last until dinner tonight I will be shocked. Planning to go to the grocery store on the way to the cemetery to pick up flowers just so my Mom doesn't have a complete meltdown due to the lack of flowers. read more

Booo for the worst online florist I have ever used and I've used a lot based on the deisgns they have available. I picked a great contemporary bouquet for a friend's 30th birthday (Saturday) only to be told none of the florists in the state (Indiana) had the flowers I wanted. Then was told I'd have to wait until they could source the flowers from somewhere in the state. When I said they would be late we went with an alternative, unseen by me, contemporary design. Then I was contacted again a few hours later to say it was too late in the day in Indiana so the flowers woud have to be delivered on Monday. So in short the wrong flowers, the wrong day and they weren't remotely contemporary! She let me know what they had in stock and suggested a few things and I finally could not decide and told her I would trust her decision - VERY glad I did! Think twice before ordering online or by phone from this florist. I ordered a $185 "European Basket" to be sent to a friend. What was shown on their website was truly beautiful. What arrived didn't even remotely resemble the photo. I realize that florists reserve the right to make changes in an arrangement based upon availability,etc. However, we are not talking about that here. The entire arrangement was different. As if someone got 2 orders mixed up and my recipient ended up with the ugly one. It would not have been difficult for Cactus Flowers to pick up the phone and let me know that what I ordered was something that they were not able to produce presently. And then worked with me to find a satisfying solution. Instead I am left feeling like I was taken by this company, and my friend has received an ugly arrangement that I did not order, should NEVER have been charged $185 for, and am embarrassed to even have my name attached to it. Based on my experience, I will never do business with Cactus Flowers again. If you have no option but them, think long and hard about doing internet or phone orders. My husband ordered roses for our anniversary. After three days, they are wilted. I called they wanted the old bouquet , and did replace it with another. The roses had NO filler of any kind, and AGAIN, we're wilted after three days. I will never have my husband waste $70 with this company again. While the person who helped me with the order was very nice and accommodating, I arrived and found the arrangement itself to be to be really underwhelming for the price, and some of the flowers were wilting within a day or so. Recently my cousin notified me that my beloved 95-year-old aunt was failing fast, had been admitted to Hospice, and was not expected to live through the night. Since I live out of town, I could not visit her to tell her one last time of my love, so I decided to send her flowers. I called Cactus Flower Florist at their Glendale location (67th Avenue and Loop 101), and although it was already late in the afternoon and their delivery driver had made the last run of the day, they put together a lovely rose bouquet, and the driver made a special trip to deliver it to my aunt. The roses were there within 1-1/2 hours of my call, while my aunt was still able to enjoy them and recognize the love they expressed. My cousin took pictures of her reading the card and smiling at the flowers -- the last pictures I have of her, which I treasure so much. I will always be grateful to Cactus Flower Florist for understanding and responding to the urgency of the situation, and for giving me the opportunity to express my love and say goodbye. read more
