Interacting with Ryan and his office team was great. Complete transparency on where we were in the project, budgeting, costs and payments. We came in below our anticipated budget. Also behind the scene he worked all of the county permitting, final inspections and assisted with my insurance inspections. Not an easy task. One which we would have been lost. Most importantly for us, being new to this, was the advice care and handling he gave me and my family. It was invaluable. Little to big design decisions, accessing the challenge, cost comparisons, advising us on where to make the most your investment. Getting into the details about the care and needs of a unique old beautiful house (more so now). We will be doing projects together well into the future. The fence was totally done wrong and the wood is now separating on the fence only 6 months after his work. The height and the style was not even the same. You can see in-between the slates and the natural wood is showing. It's definitely a botched job all the way around. He over sprayed our fence into our neighbors pool and deck. I wanted to write a review so no one else wasted thousands of dollars on a terrible job. Our neighbor hated the work on the fence as well. Mike is a nice person but the quality is not there and he commits to work without writing it all down on his estimates so he isn't committed to follow it through. Be very cautious.

I told him for inspiration that I liked my friend's floor tile and he went down to the store where she made her purchases and sent pictures of suggestions to go with her tile and her granite selection. I followed his suggestions and I was pleased that the whole process was hassle free. After viewing other remodels by Dan French, I liked that I could picture myself living in the units...they were elegant yet comfortable with an eye for details. In one remodel, the kitchen and family room were one room, but a design in the floor tile and wood floor made it two different rooms (he even carried the design up to the finish in the ceiling) and I copied the floor design to remodel my 450 sq/ft home. However, Dan French's trademarks may be his unique fireplace designs and his REAL wood ceiling beams, they are focal points in his remodels. Overall, I am very pleased with the job Dan French did for me and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again. You can tell a Dan French remodel from the other remodels!
