Delicious Belgian food and beers. Very cool atmosphere. Excellent service! And of course, Feather Bowling!! This is the only place in the United States where you can enjoy this Belgian game. You roll balls down a lane and try to get them as close to the feather as possible. It's similar to bocce ball, but better. The food here is delicious. The mussels are phenomenal! I also enjoyed my sausage, cabbage, and spinach mashed potatoes. They have their own large free parking lot, which is so nice. This place is a must try.

Came by here for dinner one evening when my friends and I were in Detroit this past summer. Apparently, the actor/comedian Keegan Michael Key had spoken highly of this place, and that was enough of a reason for one of my friends to want to come by here. Once we came in here, we were greeted and served by 2 very friendly servers. Their menu consists of primarily Belgian dishes and specialties. We opted for an order of their pretzel sticks with a cheese dip to start with, and I got their grilled cheese sandwich with fries and an additional side of green beans added on. I realize neither of those dishes are particularly unique to Belgian, but traditional Belgian food isn't very vegetarian friendly also, so I was limited to what I could have. The true draw of this place is their unique feather bowling lanes. Both lanes were taken when we were done with our meal and had wandered over to peruse. We were a little timid about playing against anybody else, but a very nice family played let us play against them and told us the rules of the game. It was very fun, albeit very messy as the lanes are sort of carved into the dirt. We didn't get to see any live music here, but that along with their large beer menu and feather bowling makes this a pretty unique place to come visit. I would recommend this place to anybody who wants to try something new for a change.

Cadieux Cafe is a great little Belgian spot on Mack close to Grosse Point. The live music is amazing, and the food is just as good! Be sure to order up the mussels! They have different variations & the portions are large enough to share! The beer selection is vast, a lot of imports. There is a large patio to chill outside. The servers are inviting & the space is cozy. Live music Thursday through Sunday!

Updated Review: Cadieux Cafe is an experience! If you know, you know.... Most recently, a group of us attended a Booze Cruise and hung out with "JR" the owner of Cadieux Cafe where the after party was being held. We had an absolute blast! The Cadieux Cafe now has an outdoor patio area for live music performances. We were starving and ordered Thai Curry Mussels, Spicy Mussels, Steak Tips, and Chicken tenders. Everything was fantastic, especially the chicken tenders. I'm still thinking about those tenders! I think they were the best I've ever tasted. We stayed for the live entertainment; it was a perfect night! I can't wait to rep my Detroit Mussels Harder T-shirt! Haha

Do they take reservations? I've never been, would like to bring group of 5 including two 85-year-olds, no standing around waiting for very long!

Yes, we do. We use Resy for reservations. Thank you

I remember pigeon races there, years ago; Is it still happening?

No, they have not happened for decades. Maybe we should bring them back?

We stopped in on a Thursday night in January and the kitchen was open late, which was a huge relief. Service was quick and friendly, though a little snarky. When I suggested "German with German beers on tap" the decision was made. We lucked out with our arrival on a busy night as the place is first come, first served and it is not at all very large. Three or four tables, two community tables and a dozen seats along the bar. And if you're not inside, you're queued up outside. We got the last two tables. Beer? They have all the big German beers on tap in large and larger glasses. Or if you want a tin? They have that too. They even have the good NA beers if you prefer. I started off with the Schöfferhofer Grapefruit Hefeweizen from Dortmund Germany (not very Germany purity law pure, but it's hot). On a hot day after walking too many streets of Detroit, this was a treat. With dinner, the Hefeweizen from Brauerei Pinkus Müller from Münster, Germany. Both cold and delicious and refreshing. For dinner, I chose the wurst platter, taking off the potato pancakes (I'm sorry) and substituting red cabbage. They were deliciously grilled, served hot and I enjoyed them very much. The only miss was that they didn't have their own mustard. I had to use the table mustard which was a bummer. Great service, we were never rushed though the serving staff was trying very hard to keep up with the flow. It was a fabulous meal and my great Yelp reputation with my colleagues continues. She felt bad and apologized and we reacted fast so we only had to wait for a table to be disassembled and re-set up. The menu is relatively small but had plenty on it that we were interested in. We ultimately ordered the west bloomfield onion soup, the fried artichoke appetizer, a walleye dish and the duck. The entrees were tasty. But the soup and the fried artichoke with Peruvian teardrop peppers (my fave) were the highlights. Price wise it was on par with most nice restaurants in the area. And I'd definitely come back.
