Other than Alexis, this place is not worth it. They falsely advertise live reggae music. We drove down an hour from the north and stayed at a local hotel to attend this "live reggae" music. The open air rooftop is lovely. We did not mind that rap was being played while we waited for reggae. And then we were told there was no live reggae. Which we were fine because we were hoping that the DJ would play reggae. However, there was no reggae ever played. We were charged a $40 cover, and when speaking with the manager he was shocked to find out that online their advertisement of live reggae music when we showed him their own descriptions.

    Empty booth on packed rooftop

Parking is not free. Came for a Sunday game meetup for Chicago Bears fans. There are not enough TV or seats on rooftop. No fans on rooftop to abate the heat. The servers were not friendly. They have a reserved booth for the owner on the rooftop, and the owner is not here. So people were standing and this 6 seat booth was empty. Last but not least, mid game, they stopped taking food orders cause they are behind. Drink specials are good but I Won't come here again. On everything!!!

Fried catfish, Mac and cheese, greens

We visited from out of town wanting to go to brunch. The vibes and music were great. They were having a RnB day party with $20 cover. We thought brunch was all day on the weekend, but it was only until a certain time so when we arrived at 3:30 they were serving dinner. They were out of a lot of items, only entree options were catfish, wings, and steak. I got a catfish plate with mac and cheese and vegan greens. The fish was amazing and crispy and the greens were pretty good. The Mac and cheese was not good. It was very oily, I even had a puddle of oil/butter at the bottom of the dish. My friend ordered ribeye with fries. Steak was delicious but cooked well done even though she ordered medium (I prefer well done so I loved it). Only down side was they brought us plastic forks and spoons. The waitress ended up bringing out a real knife, but no fork. Drinks were great, I think we tried like half the drinks on the menu, but they were also out of several drinks. Overall enjoyed the experience and would recommend

This is an upscale experience with reclining seats that includes 2 seats per pod. Super cozy for a date night. Complimentary blankets are included at every seat for your enjoyment, at no additional cost. Now let's get to the fun part! IPIC is not your typical movie theater as they have a full bar with cleverly crafted cocktails, my favorite had to be the Lavender Lemonade. It's cool and refreshing and so esthetically beautiful that you question if you should drink it or admire it. But wait there is more, on top of having a full service bar they also have a full menu! Yes you still have the typical popcorn and candy option but they also include such dishes as spicy tuna on crispy rice, charcuterie and cheese platter, lobster rolls just to name a few. Everything is savory and delicious! They do validate parking, allowing guests to park in the garage for a discounted rate. Validation usually brings the cost to approximately $3-$3.50 for 4.5 hours. The cost of tickets range from $14 - $28 per ticket. I have come many times and plan on coming back many times more. IPIC has officially become my favorite theater!

We came to see Odyssey, which was amazing, easily one of the best theater experiences movie-wise but the in-theater dining side of things fell apart fast. Ordered a Coke and got Diet instead, along with wings and a large popcorn. When the wings came out (wrong flavor), I asked for an extra plate and napkins got the napkins eventually, no plate, and the wings themselves were the wrong order. That took over 25 minutes to even attempt to fix, and at that point I just left mid-movie to go grab things myself at the bar. We hit the call light multiple times after that and the server didn't come back until the last 10 minutes of the film. On top of that, our seat cushion was detached and torn when we sat down not exactly what you expect for the price point. At the end, I asked to speak with a manager about the experience and to get my points credited. He handled the points fine, but honestly seemed pretty indifferent to everything else, which felt off given we'd just spent over $100 for two people. To top it off, parking wasn't validated correctly, and there was no going back up to fix it once we'd left. The movie itself was fantastic. The experience around it wasn't. If you're going for the movie, go just don't expect much from the service.

The band Pure Soul delivered an incredible tribute to Frankie Beverly & Maze. Their performance was spot on--capturing not only the timeless sound and energy of the music, but also sharing the history behind Frankie Beverly, the band, and the songs that have touched generations. It truly felt like taking a wonderful trip back in time while celebrating the legacy of an iconic artist. The tickets started at $30, with brunch purchased separately. In my opinion, the entire experience was well worth the price of admission and the brunch. The quality of the live performance alone made it a memorable afternoon, and the brunch only added to the overall experience. City Winery's Atlanta brunch buffet is offered separately from the show ticket. The venue was clean, comfortable, and relaxing, creating the perfect atmosphere to enjoy great music, good food, and wonderful company. This wasn't my first visit to City Winery, and I can honestly say that every experience I've had here has been enjoyable. If you love classic soul music, great live performances, and a relaxing Sunday outing, I highly recommend attending one of the Pure Soul tribute brunches. I'll definitely be back!

Service: Fast, professional service with smile. Food: Order the seared salmon with Caesar salad. The salmon came out luke warm. I enjoy my food hot, but since it was a packed house, I gave them a pass. The Caesar salad was delicious and seasoned perfectly. Drinks were watered down, not pleased, especially for the price. Side note: CW packs this place out, so make sure you sit either in the front middle section facing the stage or in the very back (caged in section). Other than the issues I stated above, good vibes, you'll have a great time!

Since we read a Shakespeare inspired book, we decided to come by and watch Romeo and Juliet. Parking was easy to find since the Emory parking deck was right across the street. Upon entering, you could order a drink before heading inside the theater. We had balcony seats so went up to pick our seats and then came down the kitchen to order food. Food was pretty good as they had a variety of options and already made prior to ordering. I got one of the bread baskets which came with pumpkin bread, garlic bread, zucchini bread and a couple of other pieces. The garlic bread was absolutely delicious and super flavorful while the pumpkin bread had the right amount of sweetness. During intermission, I got the raspberry sorbet which was a huge portion size for the price and tasted delicious! The play itself was really good as all the actors did well and could tell how passionate they were through the act. I also enjoyed that they added some humor. I do recommend getting there early especially if you book a balcony seat so that you can get a good seat. Overall, a pretty cool spot in the city and would recommend to anyone wanting to watch a Shakespeare play!

Good gentles all, lend me thine ears awhile, For I must sing…read morethe praise of a house most rare, Where wit and wine do walk in hand in hand, And mirth wears motley till the candles fade. This past Christmastide, in love's true spirit dressed, I bore my wife unto the Shakespeare Tavern. She, never yet acquainted with its cheer, And I, returned after long years astray. To fit the hour, I clad my queen in garb Of Renaissance delight, and so attired We crossed the threshold, not as common folk, But players in the age we came to see. Long ere this night, I owed this noble hall A debt of thanks: for here, in youthful days, I first did taste that shepherd's humble pie, A dish so rich it lodged within my heart, And now I seek it wheresoe'er I dine. Thus memory itself did set the table Before a single course was yet revealed. When tickets were secured, mine eye did spy A royal offer "King" bold in name. Some might cry out at such a stately sum, But mark me well: I am no peasant born, And for my wife, my world, my sun, my soul, No coin is dear, no luxury too high. Thus crowned, we were with wine and endless fare, A bottle fair and victuals without bound. Yet let me pause, for praise is due indeed To those kind souls who served us through the night. The volunteers, with smiles as warm as hearths, Whose courtesy outshone the candle's flame. With gentle word and eager helping hand, They made us feel not guests, but honored kin, Their cheer did season every dish we ate And lent the evening grace beyond all gold. O feast! O triumph of the kitchen's art! Each dish a sonnet, savory and warm. We sampled all, and still our hunger grew, For every bite did beg another verse. The price alone was paid in pleasure full, And gladly would I ransom it again. Then rose the play, "Twelfth Night" upon the stage. A comedy so fleet of tongue and limb That laughter leapt unbidden from my chest. The players brought their utmost to the boards, Each soul alive with timing, wit, and fire. Not once did mirth grow stale, nor joy sit still; The night flew past as if on fairy wings. We left with hearts made light and bellies glad, Already sworn to swift return again. Next time, with kin and blood and chosen friends, That they too may partake this joyful spell. So hear me, travelers of time and taste: If thou wouldst dine with laughter, love, and art, Seek thou this tavern where old words live new. I'll meet thee there anon, until that hour, I rest thy servant, smiling in recall.
