    Hummus

Tried this for the first time coz I always see it when I drive on Grapevine Hwy. Food was ok for me--not bad and that great. Food was tasty. We were served free flat bread with no hummus so we had to order a half order. Hummus was good. I ordered the Mixed Grill -- Souvlaki beef, Souvlaki chicken and Kefta Kabob. I had 2 small, like really small pieces of Souvlaki beef with it. So that was a bit disappointing. (You will hardly see it on my plate; it was under the onions-- see picture). Hubby got the Kefta and said it tasted good. Service was great, we were attended quickly and service was fast. Ambience was ok. Several booths and tables inside. There's also outside seating.

The service, live music and food was exceptional. I've been dying to find an authentic Greek restaurant near by and so thrilled we stopped in. The music is not overly loud where you can't have a conversation, the food was nicely portioned as well. The jumbo shrimp plate served with rice and green bean was dynamite. The cream sauce was not overly loud where powering or too rich. We will come back soon ! BYOB so bring it with you !

Really glad we have this exceptional Mediterranean spot near us. It is a bit dark when you first walk in, but that's ok. The staff is very nice, they walked us thru the menu and made great suggestions. We ordered the mixed grill and souvlaki chicken entrees, both were amazing. The chicken really stood out; it was charred perfectly and super juicy. Ended the meal with a side of baklava, also great (not too sweet). Overall a great experience, we'll definitely return.

    Interior...small but spacious enough....

Walked right in and was seated for a party of 1! The ambiance was very nice. Christmas music playing in the background. Quiet enough to hear it. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. Food: I ordered a few items for myself... tried the appetizer with 3 sides- hummus, tzatziki, and babaganoush with pita bread. The only one for me was the hummus. For my entree I ordered the beef swarma plate and upgraded my salad to a Greek salad for $3.95 extra. It came with green beans and rice as well. $17.95. Service was great. The owner, Matbolli ( I think that's how you spell it), came and made his rounds at tables and asked how everyone's experience was going. I told him my meat was a little over cooked and he brought me another order of medium cooked beef! That meat was PERFECT! IN ALL HAD A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE.

Excellent Authentic Greek Food right off of Highway 26 and Western Center in Hurst. Excellent service by the staff. The location has a lovely covered patio. If you want Greek food, this is the spot!!

Local gem!! There's a reason this place has been a staple in the NRH/Hurst community for so many years. I ordered the vegetarian plate to go and it was basically a sampler of many different traditional dishes. I subbed out the dolmas for gyro meat and for my soup/salad choice I opted for tabouli! Service was fast, attentive, and personable. Can't wait to come back!

    Chicken souvlaki

I met some friends for dinner here on a Saturday night, and we got a table right away. The service was great. Very friendly and not pushy. Our food came out quickly, and we brought our own drinks as it is BYO. We ordered two chicken souvlakis and one salmon. Everyone really enjoyed their entrees. I had the chicken souvlaki, and the green beans threw me off a bit. I love green beans, but I am totally team keep them crisp. These were cooked completely, looked like they came from a can, and were mixed with some tomatoes. It came with a large serving of tender, grilled chicken, some grilled veggies, and rice. It wasn't the prettiest plate I have ever been served, but you can't judge a book by its cover, because it was delicious. It was enough for two full meals, the only thing I polished off before leaving...were the green beans. They were good. I was surprised by my visit and will definitely come back.

We finally tried this place after passing it for years in highway 26. It is now our new favorite spot. The food was excellent, and hot fresh pita bread was served right as you're seated. We had the mousaka, Souvlaki Beef, side greek salad, tomato basil soup, Limoncello Mascarpone Mousse Cake, and Greek coffee. All of it was delicious. I appreciated how much feta cheese was on my Greek salad Generous portions. And that Limoncello Mascarpone Mousse Cake was absolutely amazing. The Greek coffee was thick and strong, so not for the faint of heart! The service was attentive and friendly. Our favorite part of this restaurant is the ambience. It is elegant, romantic, and quiet. On Fridays and Saturdays, they have l live acoustic guitar music, and it was so pleasant and added to the ambience.

Food: 4 stars. Fresh & tasty. I thought it was odd to have dill pickles on not only the Greek salad but also the dolmas, so that knocked it down a star. My favorite was the avgolemono soup, which they serve daily. Service: 1 star. It's incredibly disappointing to be a party of 1, seated in a booth directly by the side stand, meanwhile other tables are open & available, and still completely neglected by the servers. Apparently Riley was my server but never came to introduce herself, or take my order, or bring drinks, or clear my plates. If not for the Chef having a friend sitting adjacent to me & noticing my unreasonable wait time - I may have never ordered any food! Once I brought it to the attention of another server, she did try to make it right by comping a soup but at that point - the bad first impression has already been made.

Our new "go to" for Mediterranean food!! Was looking for a Mediterranean style restaurant while in…read morethe HEB area. So of course, opened the Yelp app and once again the Yelpers didn't steer us wrong. Went for lunch and had the buffet to try a little of everything. There was plenty of variety and it was all fresh and hot. Have eaten at some buffets and the gyro meat is thin and dry but not at Al Wadis. Have a good dessert selection as well. Rice pudding was awesome and some of best I have had. Of course had some baklava and if the apple cake is out give it a try. If in the area I would not be afraid to go to Al Wadi's. Apparently lots of others love it too since the place was packed for the lunch buffet and many others picking up take out orders. If didn't live over an hour away I'd be here at least once a week.

I'd been craving pastitsio (Greek lasagna) and moussaka for a while, and after searching around, I…read morefinally found a few places that served them -- Al Wadi being one of them. It's not exactly close to me, but the menu convinced us to give it a try. My husband went with the buffet and enjoyed the variety -- hummus, gyro, salad, and pita bread -- and felt the price was a great value for what was offered. I ordered the pastitsio. It wasn't quite the same as the versions I've had in Chicago, where I've enjoyed both homemade and restaurant-made versions. This one was still enjoyable, but not as flavorful as I remembered. The béchamel sauce was creamy, though I felt it needed a bit more seasoning, and the tomato sauce leaned a little too soupy for my taste. I took the moussaka to go. It had a very similar flavor profile to the pastitsio, but instead of pasta, it featured layers of eggplant and ground beef. It was comforting and hearty, though the flavors felt a bit repetitive between the two dishes. The cheese bread that came with both the pastitsio and moussaka was really good -- warm, soft, and a great pairing with the meal. Service was fantastic -- friendly and attentive -- and the space, while small, had a cozy, homey feel. Overall, I'm glad I finally got my pastitsio fix, and it was a pleasant experience.

Picked up a digital order. First time here. I ordered a salmon and strawberry salad. Be aware that…read morethere are no actual strawberries in this salad, they are talking about the dressing. smh.‍ also, the salmon was as hard as rock and had a slight fishy smell. It tasted like it was made yesterday and was very over cooked. Either that or it was smoked salmon. I called and the person that answered just handed the phone to the manager mid sentence and she proceeded to tell me that they do not put out dry or over cooked salmon and that it was the glaze I was seeing. She said this several times. I explained that I've cooked salmon many, many times and would never serve over cooked and potentially say old salmon to a customer. Now I get why the salmon was buried under the salad greens and not sitting on top. Anyway, the manager did not handle the call very well in my opinion and seems to think that the food was likely perfect, because it's the pomegranate glaze that turns it brown. Haha. So, I've included pics so you can see it. It smells slightly fishy and is hard to the touch. The brown outside is that glaze that she thinks I was concerned with even though, I never mentioned color. I also have a video. Not sure I would go here again, or maybe I need to try another location next time. I have a video of me hitting the salmon with a fork and it sounds like I'm hitting a piece of wood. Also, Please train your managers better on how to professionally handle customer concerns.
