You'll miss it if you aren't looking for it, and I think that is exactly what makes this place special. On a Tuesday morning we easily found street parking (the only option) right in front. There were a few scattered tables outdoors, but it's too hot so we chose the cool air conditioned inside. There are five tables of two inside, but we had outer pick. The woman behind the counter greeted us warmly and gave us space to decide. My cold brew, straight up, is tasty. In the 1:30min we were here five or so other people came in to order a drink to go. The quiet is exactly what we were looking for to study so it's been a delight. The playlist in the background has been great too. Great tasting coffee, fair prices, fast service. They also have a few pastries, scones, and monstrous sized cookies. The name of the shop "Country Charm Coffee" is a little deceiving. There were no farm tools, saddles, or horse collars, hanging on the wall. No road signs, flour sacks, pickle barrels, or even a vintage oil company sign. It's modern city décor. There was a piece of barn tin decorating the counter. That will work. And written on the wall, "Welcome Y'all!" "Charm?" I really don't have the skill set needed to properly assess charm. I'll stick with friendly. I know what friendly is. Lastly, no drive through. I hate drive throughs anyway. I like to go in, meet the folks running the place, and see what the operation looks like. So, get out of the car, stretch, only a few steps to the front door. Call it a workout. Counts as 4 calories. After a workout like that, you earned whipped cream on your drink. There are lots of other quaint shops, and this coffee shop looks really cool and has a great feel. The young lady behind the counter greeted me with a smile. I told her I was looking for beans and she began explaining the different beans they have there. She even offered to make shots so I can sample the beans. While I didn't take her up on trying shots, I did take her advice on what beans to buy, and for my first trip, I purchased two bags of Journalist Blend. I'll sit on these beans for 2-3 days since I'm just now finishing my last bag of existing coffee, but I look forward to dialing in these beans. Back to TexaKona.
