Jam is written in the description but I didn't see it and it wasn't in the name which it should be because why would it have jam!!!

No seating was available so I got our food to go. Service was fine. It was loud inside anyway. My breakfast sandwich cost $14 when I expected it to be like $7 but whatever support small business it'll be good right? Take a bite and it had jam on it... I hate sweet meat and by ordering a breakfast sandwich the last thing I expected was jam. - it should be in the name. I couldn't even just take off the bread the jam was on because it was on both pieces and had melted into every. It was supposed to come with hash browns but they were home fries which I also don't like. Got a made in house cannoli - the shell was so soggy it was flexible Got a slice of cake - sugar was the only flavor I want my $40 back right tf now McDonald's would have been better. Ended up throwing my whole meal away

Drool. This spot is nothing less than amazing. Quick service and delicious food... you must go here because I need this place to stay open . In a building attached to first impressions hair salon. The decor is modern, the servers are friendly and attentive, the coffee is hot and tasty, their desserts are a MUST, and all of their food is flavorful and filling (large portions). This type of food anywhere else would cost twice as much. It is superior quality and I truly enjoy it. I promise you will too.

We got the Brisket Benedict and classic Benedict. This is hands down our new favorite breakfast spot. Food was amazing, service was outstanding, very clean, and decor is beautiful. Can't wait to go back and try something different.

My dad and I were passing through the area on our way to Chicago and I was jonesing for coffee and he was having hunger pangs. I was about to pull out the Yelp app to find somewhere, but he had already spotted this cafe from the passenger seat and pointed, saying "Let's go there". That was once instance where the Yelp app would have done me no good, because this place was apparently brand spanking new... in short, I'm glad I listened to my pops. We wandered inside and I was immediately impressed by the decor. The place had a more upscale ambiance than I was expecting - stained and polished concrete floors, stylish dark blue walls, fresh flowers... and a refrigerated case with some of the most ginormous cinnamon rolls I've ever seen. We were shown to a table and I was soon drinking an amazing cup of coffee - made with beans from a local roaster. I can't tell you how disappointing it is going out for a good breakfast only to find that the coffee is generic food service swill. Not the case here. I like my coffee straight up, black as night, but I understand they also have fancy lattes and espresso drinks. When it came to food, we had a really hard time choosing... it's hard to pick between seasonal belgian waffles, mascarpone-stuffed french toast, biscuits & gravy, and benedicts. Eventually, though, I settled on the biscuits and gravy with a scrambled egg added on top... my dad landed on one of the benedicts. Both entrees were amazing. The biscuits and gravy had just the right amount of savory sausage and the biscuits were extra fluffy. Everything was pretty affordable too... We both had an amazing brunch and coffee for twenty bucks or less. After we finished up, the chef came out to hello and see what we thought. She seemed really friendly and really took pride in making sure everyone enjoyed their meals. On the way back from Chicago the next day, we actually stopped by again for lunch. I ended up getting the Croque Madame which was just as amazing. The sandwich was stuffed with ham and it had just the right hint of mustard and the gruyere was oozing perfectly. When we left, I caved and got one of those gigantic cinnamon rolls... I ended up eating it the next day while I was driving in the car... I promised myself I was going to only eat half, but there was no stopping once I tasted it. That thing was amazing. I'm telling you, if you're going to eat an ooey-gooey, cream cheese frosted calorie bomb of a cinnamon roll, make it this cinnamon roll... You'll never eat a Cinnabon ever again. Oh, and they also had some amazing tarts, pastries, and cakes in their display case... Maybe next time.

Delicious food, kind servers. Prices slightly higher than the average but in this case, you get what you pay for.

We were warmly welcomed when we walked through the door and promptly seated in a booth by a window. Juan (I think that was our name) was our server and he quickly brought over waters and asked us for our beverage preference. I ordered coffee, hoping it was going to be better than the previous restaurants that occupied the building- and it was very good! I saw the house frittata on the menu and it instantly sounded good, so I ordered that and my BF ordered the country lady, or something to that extent, and a short stack of pancakes. Our food came out no more than 10 minutes after we ordered, if that. It was fresh and the portions were enormous! Both of our meals tasted as good as they looked and were a great value for the price and amount of food that was served. Throughout our meal, Juan kept us not needing or wanting for anything. Sugar Bowl has a great staff, wonderful food, and a great future! I will definitely be back whenever I visit!

Opted for rye toast (in lieu of pancakes) and a side of cottage cheese. Water to drink. Was asked if i wanted butter on the toast. After asking if they use butter or margarine, it was confirmed they use margarine. So toast was ordered dry and I would be required apply butter by opening the small "whipped butter" packets inborder to enjoy some buttered rye toast . The Omellette was ok taste-wise...but the entire time eating it my mind is questioning if I'm consuming eggs cooked in margarine? Then I'm thinking of the experiment where I placed an unwrapped stick of margarine on a dish in my garage for 2 weeks and observed that not an insect, rodent or any other living creature disturbed the lab born condiment...completely untouched orbdisturbed.. and thus I haven't poisoned my body with that garabage ever since...until possibly now??? Place was dirty with soot on the window sill at my booth. Bill comes and is over $20...highest price I've paid for that meal anywhere, which i order from various establishments a few times a week (including the 5 egg omellete establishments). Then I'm asked "cash or card?" Then informed that DEBIT card is another upcharge of $1.40, or so. The "how was everything" converstaion deserved a comment from me about the ridiculous price I'm paying for some eggs. The off-putting, I assume, owner steps in, then starts trying to justify the upcharges that resulted in a $26 omelette (by the time i threw in a $5.00 tip). This guy continued trying to convince me that he has the lowest prices and best quality...blah blah blah...trying do hard convince me his price chiseling way of doing business is justifiablr. Oh, well, could it be that I feel my arteries are clogging with margarine as i write this? Oh well..won't visiting this place again.

I originally chose this lodge because I loved the beautiful wood features in the rooms, and it was just as cozy in person. Our room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed was great, although the pillows weren't quite our favorite, but that's really just a personal preference. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and having the restaurant right on the property was such a convenience. We had brunch there, and it was absolutely delicious. The potatoes were my favorite! We also loved the peaceful wooded setting. It made for a relaxing getaway, although there were quite a few mosquitoes, so definitely bring bug spray if you plan to spend time outside. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would absolutely stay here again. It's a cozy, relaxing place that's perfect for a weekend getaway or a special occasion.

We ordered the Elote Pizza, and overall it was really good. It had a nice wood-fired crust that was probably the highlight of the meal. The only downside was that it came with a garlic aioli that was very heavy...there was so much on the pizza that it overpowered some of the other flavors. I think it would have been even better with a lighter hand. For drinks, I had one of their sour beers and my husband ordered an IPA. Both were good, but neither really stood out as anything particularly memorable. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was friendly and took good care of us. The layout of the brewery was a little unexpected. We walked into the main entrance, then the host brought us back outside and over to a separate building where the bar is located. It was a little confusing at first, but it ended up being a neat setup. The restaurant was clean, with a spacious dining room and a nice-looking patio. The only thing that kept this from being a higher rating was the value. It felt a little expensive for what we ordered, and while everything was solid, nothing really wowed us. Overall, I'm glad we stopped in, especially as a place to escape the heat for a while. If you're in the area and looking for a casual meal and a local beer, it's worth checking out...I just wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to visit again.

Spoke to the manager who was very unapologetic and didn't seem to care about treating your customers well. Pretty much said that's their policy even if you happen to come just 5 mins before close.
