The food is so good! I tried the catfish po boy and the salmon platter. I definitely recommend the salmon platter, super delicious and comes with lumps of crab, corn, and rice in a special type of sauce. Bring your own water because they don't offer water cups. If you're starving, definitely call a head of time to order or don't come at all because the wait for food is ridiculous. It takes at least half an hour for an order to be made. When I visited this restaurant (on a Saturday), there was only one cashier up front and one cook which made the service very slow. I don't recommend this restaurant as a dine-in and a group setting place since it is very small and only offers two small tables and a bar type sitting area, which is usually where people wait for their food. read more

My girls wanted wings (buffalo) and fries. I ordered the honey lemon pepper wings and because I saw someone else's order of the salmon platter, I ordered that to try. I also ordered a Passionfruit lemonade. We arrived at 730 and by that time they only had one left, so I just asked for a couple extra cups so we could all have a taste. Things I loved... *The fries were bomb. They were hot and extra crispy. Wish I had ordered more *the passion fruit lemonade was delish! I didn't taste passionfruit flacoe necessarily but it was yummy nevertheless Just ok.. *the honey lemon pepper wings. They were fresh and crispy and hot.. there was something that I just didn't love about the flavor. Perhaps the honey old bay would make more sense to me because the honey would balance out some of the spice of the old bay. I don't think I would order them again *the salmon platter- I wanted to love it. It was average. There was little crab meat in it. Not good- *the wings (buffalo). They seemed to have been reheated and were soggy. I thought my girls were exaggerating however when I tried them I agreed. I will say one thing I did not care for.. as I mentioned earlier .. there was only one passionfruit lemonade.. the person at the register taking the orders gave me 2 cups once our food was done, but I asked for a cup upon leaving. So I've been going to this place for years since I lived in the area (family still does, so I visit occasionally) I came today for my usual fish platter which I see Yelp has plenty of pics. They weren't excepting credit cards which I'm fine with, but oddly asked me to bring EXACT change with me.. I saw a new sign, more open layout inside and even a change to their new name "Seafood 1137". I'm giving a four because even though the food is just as smacking and the renovation looks great... they kept the prices the same ($20 a fish plate give or take) and HALFED the portion size... still a great place for food but what was already a bit pricey is now downright expensive. read more

The food is super good. The only reason it isn't 5 Stars is because I called and ordered at 6:30 PM. I got there at 7:00 and still had to wait about 20 minutes. There was only one girl working the counter and she was taking phone orders and counter orders. I ordered 5 buffalo wings, 5 honey old bay wings, a salmon platter with shrimp added, and a salmon Caesar salad. The total was $52. At first I thought that was kinda high but it's no different than me going to Outback for 2 people. I'll try to support Black Owned businesses and this isn't something I would get daily but it's worth it to treat yourself to a good meal if you don't want ro The salmon platter is my all time favorite 1137 dish. It's full of flavor and texture. It's a bed of rice smothered in a creamy Crabby corn and spice sauce. I always add 6 grilled shrimp which is $6 extra. The honey old bay wings are always awesome. My daughter said that the buffalo wings were a little spicy but good. The salmon salad was pretty plain as a Caesar salad normally is lol. But the salmon was flavored and cooked perfectly. One side note: Since the close at 8:00 PM they don't take phone orders after 7:00 so either call before then or just get there in a timely fashion. Checked this out a few times. Each time everything was the same. Called the order in. Food still wasn't ready when I got there. But the food is good. A little heavy for a meal. I called in my order after work as everyone advised, because I work two blocks from this place and it takes me less than three minutes to get their. I got the Fried Catfish over Garlic Rice mixed with Crabmeat and corn, that was delicious, but the Catfish was too small for the price of $17.99. There was a lot of Rice left over, the Rice was very flavorful. Now the Honey Old Bay Wings were the Bomb, perfectly cooked, very tasty and a nice size Wings. The parking lot is small and it's in a mini strip with 3 other businesses. Its a small place and a few bar tables and stools in there. Looks more like a carry out place. Cafe 1137, oh where for art thou Cafe 1137, By far my favorite place in all of Maryland to eat, I was told by a friend to check it out and I cant thank her enough the menu consist of actual god crafted creations, Seafood Platters, Po' boys, you name it. I had ordered a Fried Catfish platter with garlic rice, lump crab meat, corn and the 1137 sauce. I have never in all of my years of eating food, experienced an umami of flavor bursting in my mouth. I asked for All flats and the young lady that took my order didn't tell me that they charge $2 for All flats. I would've still ordered it but it would've been nice to know before. Anyways, I ordered my food at 5:47 pm and I didn't get food until 6:30pm. That wait time is ridiculous. This place was absolutely exceptional. I came here with high hopes and they delivered. Immediately upon entering I was greeted by the kindest cashier. I ordered the shrimp po boy which was full of jumbo shrimp. You can get the shrimp pho boy grilled or fried. I asked my cashier's favorite which led me to the fried option. I'm almost certain the shrimp po boy comes alone with no side. You can add a side starting at $2.99. My brother Lucas got the catfish platter which was the crowd pleaser. The platters are what you want to get when you come here for the first time. There are various platters you can grab. They have Salmon, Catfish, Crab Cake, etc. Its no wonder you find numerous celebrities stopping by. We had to grab some to-go after already eating a platter. I am now an honorary regular haha. Found this place on my timeline on IG. The food looked amazing, and just so happens I was heading to the DMV area. We drove about 45 minutes to get here, and it was definitely worth the drive. I ordered the turkey burger with shrimp and fries. Now I am not a big fan of turkey burgers by any means, but they IG pics made this sandwich look amazing. The menu is limited to what's on the chalkboard so I inquired of the very nice attendant and she recommended the platters for first timers. $19 for a lunch, but the chicken platter did not disappoint. Blackened chicken breast over top white rice all smothered in a spicy cream sauce with some crabmeat and corn. They also had some desserts in the fridge behind the counter that were pretty good. The food and tea were really good. Large portion sizes and tasted fresh. I have been here at least four times since they opened and seriously the food is great. The specialty is the 1137 platter which you can get with chicken, tilapia or salmon. It's a grilled choice of protein over a delicious rice with a garlic herb sauce that includes lump crab meat. It's good and a great portion size. My wife loves the tea and lemonade which are both delicious but not your average drink. They have fruit pieces that transform them. My son isn't a fish eater but destroyed a salmon Caesar sub which had a great texture because the fish has crispy bits yet still tender and moist and not over powering. My daughter had the shrimp po boy and wasn't a fan of the Cole slaw because she likes hers more sweet but the shrimp were large and flavorful with a good spice. The chicken 1137 was pretty flavorful but just a tad over done, but the bread that comes with it was Toasted and good. I personally am not a huge fan of the old boy wings but my family enjoyed them. They also have locally made desserts when you can get them because they go fast! Cupcakes come from tanikas whimsy cakes and they are great if you have ever had them. The service is friendly but it can seem to take a little while because food is cooked fresh to order and they have been busy! However it is well worth the wait!
