I visited MoMo's for the first time, and It was okay. First and foremost the restaurant was clean. I ordered and pick three of catfish, chicken wings, and shrimp along with a salad and a bean pie. Nothing is made until the food is ordered. I live close by so everything was still hot when by the time I got home. I was happy with the flavors of everything but french fries. The fries needed some salt when they took them out of the fryer. The catfish fillet was big, so big that I only ate it, the shrimp and salad, and saved the wings for later in the evening. My litmus test for chicken wings is how do they taste cold. Momo's wings past the test. I was up late watching Netflix and decided I wanted a snack and headed directly to the wings. They were room temperature and I added nothing else to flavor them. GOOD STUFF! My only complaint is that they forgot to put my bean pie in my bag and I had to return to the store. Mediocre food at a bargain price. MoMo's would never be my first choice for a delicious meal. As far as "bang for you buck" goes, MoMo's is perfect. For about $15 (not counting tax and DoorDash fees) I got a full sub, chicken fingers, French fries, and western fries. A fantastic deal! Buffalo sauce, ketchup, and bbq sauce came in the bag. The chicken fingers were definitely the best part of the meal! Crispy, juicy, and fresh. The fries were a bit stale, and the cheeseburger sub tasted like a 3am food truck decision. My wife says that ordering the cheeseburger sub was on me ‍. Keep this restaurant in mind as an alternative to your typical fast food place. It's fast, affordable, and good enough. So I tried this place after viewing pictures of the food. I was not disappointed. The food is very good for what it is. It is a knockoff of Hip Hop Fish and Chicken. But it is better. The oil is clean and it is obvious that they fry the fish and chicken in different oil. Catfish was perfectly fried and the shrimp was delectable. The fries were PERFECT fries. Not the strange hip hop fries but regular straight cut. I would definitely choose this over hip hop. I have been back a few times for the same meal now. Ordered delivery through GrubHub which was a first time, but easy to setup. Delivery arrived about 50 minutes later, which was expected per GrubHub. You have to be sure to be very specific what you want to order especially in the comments section on GrubHub, i.e. condiments. My order came delivered without ketchup for fries, hot sauce for fried tilapia, or cocktail sauce for jumbo fried shrimp. No napkins also. Cheesesteak was disappointing. It was far from a Philly Cheesesteak. The meat was very tough. I almost choked swallowing it because I had not chewed it well enough. I also ordered under the impression there wouldn't be fries (which would have been great because fries came with my combo order) but fries came with it, which tasted similar to Hip Hop's seasoning. I threw the entire meal in the trash. Combo order only came with one piece of tilapia but menu said two pieces. Everything (tilapia and jumbo shrimp) were EXTRA salty. And of course more fries. I'm struggling getting through this meal because of the salt. I ordered a half and half on GrubHub but it wouldn't just let me order one, I had to order two. So two different sizes were delivered. Very weird. The entire meal came to almost $30 (including taxes, fees, and tip) and I won't I'll be ordered from here again. This place is kind of like Hip Hop Chicken's older cousin that went to college. They are literally the same place but Momo's might be the refined version. The menu is the same but the food seems a little fresher. Same tiny wings and same "magical dust" sprinkled on your food. If given a preference, I'd probably come here. Ha! I love MoMo's. Its an alternative to Hip Hop Chicken. The menu is slightly different here. They do the same style of chicken and fish though. I have been coming to this place since it opened. First impression was that this is a fish shop I'm comfortable eating from. Very clean and neat. It was so clean I thought they had just opened but they've been there for 3 years! My son and I have ordered from there several times and food has been ok,always order catfish and have to ask them to fry it hard,otherwise it falls apart. Last night's order was terrible!!My fish was pink throughout and also had no bread in either order. Catfish takes much longer to cook which is why i Always ask for it hard to ensure doneness!! They are close to home and I decided to stop one evening on the way home from work. They are a relatively new addition on Windsor Mill Rd. I ordered the half chicken meal - $5.99, includes bread, fries, and coleslaw. They cook each order fresh so expect your order to take 10 - 15 minutes, depending on what you order. This was the first time I had bought freshly fried chicken in the area in a long time. Hip Hop on Liberty Rd did but I didn't care for the fish and chicken being fried together, and their combinations of chicken that you could order was a bit off. MoMo's Chicken ended up being the best take out chicken that I've had in I don't know how long. It is actually possible that it is the best yet. The fries are standard french fries, not the breaded wedges of the competitors that sit under lamps for who knows how long, but these standard fries are always fresh and hot. Coleslaw is pretty standard slaw and you get 2 slices of white bread with your meal order. Since that first night I've been back several times and it's always fresh and hot. One night I got to talking to a lady and her daughters. The one daughter had a catfish meal that looked real good, the others were still waiting for their orders. She said it was great and commented on the generous portion. It looked like a really nice order of catfish. From what I remember they have several types of fish on their menu, catfish, trout, whiting, to name a few. The staff are always friendly and nice. They are also open at 6:00 am for breakfast. Firstly I would rate them a 3.5 but halves are not an option. Found them using google maps and stopped in based on the few yet good reviews. Not a good place to go if you have a short lunch unless you plan on calling ahead! They said 15 minutes and they meant it! That being said, the fish is delicious, and the fries are good too. The price, given the location is also very reasonable. My only complaint is that sometimes they're not very quick about preparation and at other times, I've phoned in an order, but it seems like they start it once I actually get there, as opposed to having it ready for me.
