Excellent customer service from Joannes, Kyle, and the other Kyle. Greeted me properly and showed me the deals and what was best to order. I ended up ordering the Matcha Monster Milkshake, which was fantastic. I would absolutely go back and try different stuff.

I've been to few branches of Cafe 86 and I'm glad that one opened in Rancho. The various halo-halo interpretation are good choices for dessert. The 3 dollar special drinks are great values. Being a big ube fan, I totally the various ube dessert choices. Service was decent and place was clean. Try it out for Filipino inspired sweets

A friend told me Cafe 86 is having a sale. So I stop by to grab a couple of milk tea before meeting my friends to play pickleball. Cafe milk tea is average. Ube milk tea is okay - it does have enough ube. Both milk tea have lots of ice, not enough tea flavors. The prices are very good during the special promotion. The cafe 86 is kind of hidden in the plaza as you can only see it when you walk past a juice bar. Decor is typical bubble milk tea, but clean and warm. Service is enthusiastic. Overall, it has a lot of potential, but I am more picky about tea drinks in general.

Inside the location: Very clean, kind of cute and chic, there was a small group of people eating in towards the back when we (my boyfriend and I) went. There was only 1 couple in front of us when we ordered. Staff: Not exactly enthusiastic or welcoming when coming inside. On the plus side, they were not rude in the slightest. Price: The price can get high very quick if you plan on purchasing multiple items. My boyfriend spent around $80.00ish for the items he purchased, and I spent around $35.00, if I recall correctly, after taxes. Taste: Yummy and hits my ube craving, however, I think I like the Chino Hills location better. Regardless, I live in Rancho Cucamonga so I will be coming back to this location again!

I've been wanting to check this place out for a while so after a Saturday morning thrift store run with my girls, we decided to stop by this place. It's tucked in the corner behind another business, but they have a sidewalk sign out that helped us locate it. What a cute little place! We were welcomed immediately upon entering. There's a large menu on the wall viewable right next to the entrance. We had some questions about some of the items prior to ordering. So many incredible Ube treats! I went with the Ube matcha latte with almond milk. My oldest got the pandan matcha latte and my youngest went with a regular matcha latte. I also ordered an Ube pop tart and had them toast it for us. They have a good amount of seating inside, including some sofas and a nice board game collection. Seems like a really cool place to visit and hang out. The drinks are made to order and fresh--we were watching them whisk the matcha--so it took a little while, but we didn't mind. We all enjoyed our matcha drinks. The Ube matcha latte was really refreshing and not too sweet. The Ube pop tart was incredible! Freshly made, so much flavor and the texture was honestly better than regular pop tarts! My youngest tried it and ended up finishing it. Definitely check this place out!

This location is kind of hidden by "Tropical Smoothie", so it's a bit hard to find if it's your first time. Not 100% sure but it seems that this location doesn't have the same menu as the Artesia location. I ordered the Milo milk tea and it doesn't taste like the Milo drink I've gotten at other locations but this is the only option they have. It was okay and they also only have one size unlike other locations. It was okay. The Ube Milk Tea seems to lack flavor, but it's okay enough to finish. The staff seemed nice but we did order through kiosk.

If you love Ube, this place is for you. We have been here several times and enjoyed everything we got. Employees were friendly and helpful. The inside was clean, some seating inside. Plenty of parking. The one drawback for me, is the price. We got 2 Ube monster milkshakes (17.90) and added boba (2.10). 20 bucks for two milkshakes is pricey. We also tried their Ube tres leches, regular halo halo and upside down halo halo and everything was delicious.

Nice coffee shop in Rancho with a lot of options but I came for the cookie butter latte but it wasn't what I expected I guess I had to be more clear that I wanted a "iced" cookie butter latte instead of blended I thought a latte was clear enough because lattes come either iced or hot never blended... I don't know but $20 went to waste lol I didn't like the "cookie butter latte" or the grilled cheese lol but I just like to try new coffee shops anyways so .. and the service was pretty good

My coffee experience here was very disappointing. After reading the reviews I had such high expectations. I ordered their "most popular" cookie butter hot latte and it was not good at all. The coffee itself was extremely unappealing, to say the least, it tasted really bad, and had zero cookie butter flavor. I tried to drink at least half, for the purpose of this review, but fell short. I just couldn't do it. The young lady at the register was pleasant. It was pretty much a very generic interaction as I was the only customer. It's a nice coffee shop, in a good location. It was clean and well kept. I do think that most people would enjoy this place given all the positive reviews. Unfortunately, I was turned off because coffee is "my thing," and I won't return.

I went a few weeks (months?) ago and forgot to post a review. The only reason why I haven't been there lately is because I'm in the middle of a weight loss challenge with my co-workers because aside from that? I'd be here at least weekly! Customer service is phenomenal, and when I was there the second time, they knew me by name! Very clean and welcome atmosphere with plenty of seating. I LOVE ube. So, I tried almost everything ube they had to offer. My favorites were the ube latte (both hot and iced), ube truffles, and the ube tres leches. The leche flan was delicious, although the cupcake/muffin itself wasn't my favorite. And the ube cheesecake deserves an honorable mention. I'll be back soon to try more items! Definitely worth a stop!

I was guided here by a Filipino friend of mine and she said I had to try it, so I did and I have no regrets! I couldn't believe how moist and soft the Ube sweets were. I thought I didn't like Ube until now! I've been converted! My favorites were the Turon and the Cupcake with Flan. I'd like to return and try some of their teas and coffee drinks and the very popular Halo Halo. The truffle was really good also, it was very soft and moist inside and on the outside was crushed Oreos. The Turon Poptart has a cute and different presentation aside from the usual shape of an eggroll. I still like the crunch from the eggroll wrapper, but the poptart seemed like you got more of the jackfruit and plantain filling than you do in the traditional shape. Aldo, make sure to eat your Turon poptart warm, it's really delicious that way. Very disappointing was the Calamansi Lemonade. It didn't have much flavor, even with two pumps of cane sugar added. The ice also watered it down and it just tasted like lemon water. The ambiance inside is relaxing and quiet. The owner must be a Star Wars fan, because there are many SW memorabilia hanging around. The service was kind and warm. My mother who doesn't have much experience with Filipino food or desserts asked a lot of questions and the female cashier answered our questions thoroughly and with a smile.

I'm glad to see a Cafe 86 in my neighborhood, as I've been to their other locations in the LA area. I've been to this location a few times already & it never disappoints. The first time I tried the Ube monster milkshake. I love how you can taste the ube flavor right away. Then you get some cookie crumble bits. This drink is perfect for a nice, hot day. I recently tried the upside down halo halo via the self ordering kiosk, which is easy to use. You can omit and add things to your drink. For my halo halo I decided to omit the jackfruit & got everything else. When I received my drink, unfortunately they ran out of boba and added extra nato (coconut jellies). Again the drink was delicious. You get the Ube flavor and as you continue to mix and drink it becomes creamy with the topped ice cream. The flan was good. Had a nice texture to it. This shop is a little difficult to find as it is tucked away in the side of Tropical Smoothie. But there is a sign directing you there. There is seating inside as well as outside for you to enjoy your drink or desserts with family and friends. I would definitely recommend if you love Ube! They have other sweet treats and flavors for you to try.

Tried this place for the first time. I got the Ube Monster and my son got the pandan matcha. My Ube shake could be better. It needed more Ube flavor. I could also do without the Oreos. My son like his matcha. We also tried the ube butter bar which was good. The prices were a bit high. The place was nice and clean. The lady worker was nice. read more

Got the upside down halo halo. The coconut jellies are so unnecessary. They are too sweet, makes the drink taste artificial and takes away the ube taste. Boba is cooked perfectly and has a nice chewy texture. Didn't think I would like the corn flakes but it was unexpectedly delicious. Like eating cereal with milk. Flan is firm in texture and tastes good. Ice cream is smooth and creamy. Jackfruit is canned in syrup, has mushy texture and tasted sour. Overall the drink is pretty sweet and I wish the sugar level could be adjusted. Ube bread pudding - a bit confusing here as the online ordering system said this would be served cold and to heat it up at home but they heated it up anyways. It is served with a scoop of ube ice cream which I didn't know about, so that was nice. The bread pudding is very moist and fragrant. I would get this again. Jasmine calamansi tea - opted for less ice, 50% sugar. The tea is surprisingly strong to a point where it is bitter. The calamansi adds a tart aftertaste to the drink. Not too sweet, which is good. I wouldn't say this is quality tea though. Service- ordered online which indicated it would be ready within 15-20 minutes. Got there in 15 minutes and they still weren't ready yet. Waited at least another 15 minutes. 30 minute wait for 2 drinks and a bread pudding (which is pre-made) is very unreasonable to me. Especially when it is something that isn't even that difficult to make. Can someone please explain why I am just watching them make these drinks one at a time when they can clearly be made in bulk? It is not efficient at all. read more

The cafe is a bit small but good enough seating available. The only thing is it's in a hidden location. We'll definitely be back to try other items like their pastries that looked amazing. read more

crews are very welcoming and always smiling - thats what i like when you come in. we ordered halo halo here the original and the ube halo halo it was good my husband liked it coz theres no beans in it i liked it too but the only ingredients they have for halohalo is sago, gulaman, langka and the ice cream and leche flan on top. I thinks its kinda expensive for $10.50 if thats the only ingredients they put. maybe they can add some more inside not just the gulaman and sago so the price is worth it - suggestion: maybe they can blend the ice more kinda like softy and smooth when you eat it. i think that will be best read more

I bought a halo-halo from this place, but I wasn't satisfied with it because I'm used to eating the traditional version, which includes banana, jackfruit, macapuno, and other ingredients. Went there and ordered an Ube Truffle, the Ube Crack Cheesecake, and the Mais Con Yelo Bar. The Ube Truffle was my favorite as the others were too rich for me. The service was quick and friendly, staff was attentive. The vibe is a place that you would go, get your food, and leave, and not really eat it there. read more

The matcha here was so bomb, I can't explain it but it actually starched that matcha craving that other places haven't been able to satisfy. The mango green tea was so refreshing and I can definitely see it being the perfect drink so a nice sunny day. The UBE pastries are amazing and you definitely need to come and try them out. The staff was so friendly and really take their time to ensure that your order is correct and made to perfection. I'll definitely be coming back and trying their whole menu. read more

Everything was great but the reason I give it one star is poor staffing. There was one worker and she had to do everything herself making the wait twice as long as what it should've been if there was adequate staffing. She was very friendly and helpful but just overwhelmed with too much work. Shame on management for not staffing better so that their business could run smoother. read more

Cafe 86 is a must visit in Rancho Cucamonga. If your into ube or bobas that contain ube and enjoy a delicious leche flan then this is the place for you. I have to try not to come here everyday. It's hidden near Noypitz so spread the word because this place is a gem. Try the upside down halo halo with boba and bring your appetite. The ube cookie was good and if you want something so delicious and memorable get the UBE Brownie because it's so freaking delicious!!! read more

Great service and food! Totally loved the hospitality provided here. I ordered 3 shakes and the churromochi. They all were great. I also had returned after leaving with my son's shake. While we were walking the parking lot, some idiot in a 4Runner almost hit my wife causing me to stop abruptly, which made one of my shakes fall to the ground. I picked up the trash and returned to repurchase the drink. I told them what happened and they immediately said they would replace it. I tried to pay for it, but they wouldn't let me. I hope we all can continue to support this place so we can have a great option for food and dessert! SALAMAT!!! read more

I came here for the grand opening, and I was pleasantly surprised by the upbeat and welcoming culture that this new spot is bringing into town. Their drinks and pastries have a creative twist with a nod to Filipino culture. I love to see places that embrace their roots and show it in a fun way. Every single time I go to Café 86 the employees ask if I want my change back. Why would I have to ask for money that already belongs to me That's not customer service that's shady. I've told them multiple times just give me my change but they keep doing it. We're not talking about pennies either sometimes it's almost a whole dollar. After charging nearly 12 dollars for a drink you're seriously trying to take more out of my pocket That's disrespectful and greedy. Customers shouldn't feel pressured or awkward about getting their own money back. Will not be coming back! read more

Tried Cafe 86 for the first time and it was so good! Super cute and clean inside with lots of seating. We tried a tea and a matcha and loved both, also got an ube crinkle and it was top tier. Hazel helped us and she was so sweet, she guided us through the menu and helped us choose what to get. A friendly staff makes the whole experience and I really appreciated her energy! First time here today, and we loved it! Service is on point, and the pastries ate awesome! We tried the ube flan, maiz cheesecake and the ube bread pudding. My favorite was the maiz cheesecake but my husbands was the ube bread pudding. They aren't too sweet, they are just perfect. This is a perfect cafe place for dates, and also families. read more

The interior also is so... bare... and looks like they didn't even attempt to try to make the coffeeshop seem or feel cozy and inviting. It's been a while since I've felt like I should have just spent my money on the nearby Starbucks instead of going out of my way to support small businesses.

She literally rolled her eyes with a sigh and was like, "well...that's what we're known for" then scurried away without any interaction or thank you to any friendly gesture upon me paying. I also ordered a scone, which she brought over to me and, again, when I said thank you, she just walked away. No smile. Nothing. Exact same interaction when giving me my drink at the pickup area. Super rude. My order consisted of a Cafe Latte and Biscoff Scone. Both were really good, despite the awful service experience. The latte was rich and the brew was tasty. The scone was the showstopper for me though. I don't normally like scones, but this had to be one of the best ones I've ever had. The biscoff flavor was prominent throughout and the texture was not hard and dry. It truly was perfection. Because of the poor service experience, I can't say that I'd return. However, if you do decide to give them a try, make sure to add a scone to your order.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kaelynn (I apologize if I misspelled your name). Not only is she absolutely gorgeous on the outside, but she is just as beautiful on the inside. Her customer service was truly phenomenal and top-tier from start to finish. I am a very indecisive person and asked a ton of questions throughout the process. I constantly wanted her honest opinion, recommendations, and guidance, and she never once made me feel like I was being difficult or annoying. Instead, she was incredibly patient, kind, honest, and genuinely invested in helping me make the best decision. What impressed me most was how much she went above and beyond. She took the time to explain everything, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made me feel completely comfortable and supported. That level of care and dedication is so rare these days. I am beyond grateful for people like Kaelynn. She is the reason I will absolutely be returning in the future, and I will be referring friends and family as well. Cafe 86 Halo Halo Review If you're a fan of delightful pastries and unique desserts, Cafe 86 is a must-visit! Renowned for their scrumptious cupcakes, this café has a charm that keeps you coming back for more. During our recent visit, we indulged in their Upside Down Halo Halo--a beautiful twist on the traditional Filipino dessert. The signature ube base was incredibly rich and creamy, perfectly complemented by coconut jellies, jackfruit, and boba. Topped with frosted flakes, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and flan, it was a symphony of flavors and textures that left us in awe. Each bite was a delicious adventure! We also tried the Hibiscus Calamansi, which was tailored to 50% sweetness. This refreshing drink was perfectly balanced--not too sweet, allowing the floral and citrus notes to shine through.
