Absolutely ridiculous, made an online order at 7:23 pm with the app saying it would be ready at 7:53. I walked in at 7:56 and was ignored by the front staff for 10 minutes. Went to the back side to ask a staff member where do I go to get my order and was told to go to the front. Went to the front and was finally asked about my order. Only to find that my order receipt was blown off the counter and was never even made. No apologies just "we'll get to it now". It's now 08:37 pm and still no drinks and no apologies. I have been waiting for this to open up! The first time I had Cafe 86 was in the Artesia location and loved their desserts. When I found out that they were opening one in RC, I was extastic. After visiting once, I can definitely say that I will be going back. All there desserts are amazing but my favorites were the butter bars, crackers cheesecakes, and ube flan cupcake. Tried this place for the first time. I got the Ube Monster and my son got the pandan matcha. My Ube shake could be better. It needed more Ube flavor. I could also do without the Oreos. Got the upside down halo halo. The coconut jellies are so unnecessary. They are too sweet, makes the drink taste artificial and takes away the ube taste. Boba is cooked perfectly and has a nice chewy texture. Didn't think I would like the corn flakes but it was unexpectedly delicious. Like eating cereal with milk. Flan is firm in texture and tastes good. Ice cream is smooth and creamy. Jackfruit is canned in syrup, has mushy texture and tasted sour. Overall the drink is pretty sweet and I wish the sugar level could be adjusted. Ube bread pudding - a bit confusing here as the online ordering system said this would be served cold and to heat it up at home but they heated it up anyways. It is served with a scoop of ube ice cream which I didn't know about, so that was nice. The bread pudding is very moist and fragrant. I would get this again. Jasmine calamansi tea - opted for less ice, 50% sugar. The tea is surprisingly strong to a point where it is bitter. The calamansi adds a tart aftertaste to the drink. Not too sweet, which is good. I wouldn't say this is quality tea though. Service- ordered online which indicated it would be ready within 15-20 minutes. Got there in 15 minutes and they still weren't ready yet. Waited at least another 15 minutes. 30 minute wait for 2 drinks and a bread pudding (which is pre-made) is very unreasonable to me. Especially when it is something that isn't even that difficult to make. Can someone please explain why I am just watching them make these drinks one at a time when they can clearly be made in bulk? crews are very welcoming and always smiling - thats what i like when you come in. we ordered halo halo here the original and the ube halo halo it was good my husband liked it coz theres no beans in it i liked it too but the only ingredients they have for halohalo is sago, gulaman, langka and the ice cream and leche flan on top. I thinks its kinda expensive for $10.50 if thats the only ingredients they put. maybe they can add some more inside not just the gulaman and sago so the price is worth it - suggestion: maybe they can blend the ice more kinda like softy and smooth when you eat it. i think that will be best read more

The matcha here was so bomb, I can't explain it but it actually starched that matcha craving that other places haven't been able to satisfy. The mango green tea was so refreshing and I can definitely see it being the perfect drink so a nice sunny day. The UBE pastries are amazing and you definitely need to come and try them out. Everything was great but the reason I give it one star is poor staffing. There was one worker and she had to do everything herself making the wait twice as long as what it should've been if there was adequate staffing. She was very friendly and helpful but just overwhelmed with too much work. Shame on management for not staffing better so that their business could run smoother. read more

Great service and food! Totally loved the hospitality provided here. I ordered 3 shakes and the churromochi. They all were great. I also had returned after leaving with my son's shake. While we were walking the parking lot, some idiot in a 4Runner almost hit my wife causing me to stop abruptly, which made one of my shakes fall to the ground. I picked up the trash and returned to repurchase the drink. I told them what happened and they immediately said they would replace it. I tried to pay for it, but they wouldn't let me. Every single time I go to Café 86 the employees ask if I want my change back. Why would I have to ask for money that already belongs to me That's not customer service that's shady. I've told them multiple times just give me my change but they keep doing it. We're not talking about pennies either sometimes it's almost a whole dollar. After charging nearly 12 dollars for a drink you're seriously trying to take more out of my pocket That's disrespectful and greedy.
