Stopped here for a coffee and a pastry. They had several options in the case including a seasonal pumpkin scone. It was fresh and not too sweet. The coffee was piping hot and they had multiple options to choose from. It was a quick stop with great service.

Still one of my favorite coffee shops in the area. Great coffee, great vibes that make you feel welcome to stay there for hours (which I have), and AMAZING muffins. Starbucks and Dunkin' could never.

What a lovely experience this morning at Ah-Roma cafe. Ron was quite accommodating to my needs & requests & made our morning with delicious coffees, croissants & chocolate chip scone. I truly felt the ALOHA spirit here

Best coffee shop in Berea. Cafe Ah-Roma is a popular hangout. It's a longtime favorite of students and locals. Also has good stuff to eat. The prices are good and so is service. Coffee is the main thing here. It always goes good with any of the bagels, which makes this a popular place in the morning. There isn't that much room inside, but they still have plenty of tables. If you feel overwhelmed by the large coffee menu you can simply get a regular coffee. It's about $3 for a cup. This coffee is located in the urns at the front. As for the food it's mostly breakfast items like bagels. It's about $2.50 for a bagel and a spread. The peanut butter is very good especially when it's melted because the bagel is toasted. It has some old school decor. It gives it a cozy and relaxing feeling. They have modern technology like wifi.

Net a friend for breakfast and a beverage. My drink was a special and very tasty. It was a chai tea latte with almond syrup. The bagel sandwich I got was just okay. It was a bit dry.

What a cute little cafe in downtown Berea! I didn't even know this place existed until my friend suggested we meet there for breakfast one day! Great place to grab a bite to eat or meet up with friends. Plenty of seating for 2 people or larger groups! There is WiFi available, if you are looking for a place to get some work done. Wall plugs nearby in almost all corners of this place, which is awesome! I've been to coffee shops which had limited plugs available and I was quite annoyed, especially since my laptop dies so quickly. Cafe Ah-Roma offers both breakfast and lunch options! All dishes are super affordable and is quick! I can't wait to come back here just to hang out and introduce friends to this place!

Here is the front counter of the cafe. This is a great place to eat if you are in Berea, Ohio.Very well maintained by a great staff.

The food here is always excellent. Always well cooked, kept well refrigerated and prepared well. The staff they have working here provides excellent service. They are always greeting you and have a great attitude. The place is a quaint place with classical music playing in the background, great ambiance. People gather here to converse, grab a coffee or a quick bite. A great place to chill if you are on a work break or just sitting to relax. Cafe-Ah-Roma is a great cafe to stop at if you are at their locations in Downtown Berea, or Downtown Cleveland. A+ grade.

It's also much larger than I expected and has a lovely patio out front with lots of tables. They have a large food menu with typical cafe eats as well as dinner entrees. QUICK REVIEW (read this if you don't want to read this whole review): Try the potato pancakes. Great food and service. Slightly more elevated cafe. Busy during peak morning/afternoon hours and most likely less busy in the evenings. I have not been in the evening yet. Free parking lot and free wifi. FOOD - there are lots of food options to choose from for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have sandwiches, salads, pizza, and pastries. I arrived around 10:20am so I wanted breakfast. I read that the croissants are okay but I haven't tried them. I ordered the potato pancakes, blueberry hibiscus tea (hot) as a dine-in order plus a slice of almond cake as a takeout order. The potato pancakes ($19) was delicious. It comes with 3 thick potato pancakes topped an egg on the center and with bacon bits spread all over. The potato pancakes also come with sour cream on the side which I didn't realize so I moved that to the side of my plate because I don't like or eat sour cream. I would order the potato pancakes again as a savory breakfast item but $19 is a little steep for the price. The blueberry hibiscus tea ($4) was a refreshing drink served on a mug. If you enjoy the combination of white tea leaves, rose hips, natural blueberry, and hibiscus then this tea is for you. I also ordered an almond cake slice ($6) but to go. The almond cake is a light and tasty cake with sliced/shaved almonds on top. SERVICE -- Friendly. Me and one of the shorter female employee had a nice laugh when I went down later in the day to order an almond cake. They started getting busy when I arrived after 10am on a weekday but I was able to walk right up to the front counter to order. The buzzer handed to me buzzed probably within 15-20 mins and I went down to get my order. I believe the tea that I ordered was ready first. Overall, I'll definitely be back. Prices are higher than a traditional cafe. The plus is that there is free wifi so it's a perfect spot to work on your laptop. The tables are big and the chairs are comfortable. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 99/250 total reviews in 2026 - 940 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 27 May 2026

Inside is very spacious, homey but modern. There was a lot to consider, but they advertised as a crepe place so I opted for a savory and sweet crepe plus a croissant to go. Plus some macaroons because why not? Got to watch my crepes come to life, and food got dropped relatively quickly. Took pics and dug in. The crepes were fairly large and had pronounced flavors. The Paris crepe was citrusy and sugary in the right ways. The whipped cream was of low quality though, leave a film on top of the pallet and the propellant was bitter which makes the whipped cream taste cheap and out of a can. The savory crepe was odd. The presentation made it look like a sweet crepe, but it was balsamic glaze. It worked with the filling but threw off my expectations. It was funky, cheesy, and very savory. Needed a little salt to help make the cheese flavor pop. The croissants are gigantic. Did not expect as big of one for the price. Was suppose to be pistachio flavored cream but it was more almond flavored. Think they tried to use extract and lost the flavor with the sweet. The macaroons were okay, little crumbly and also lacked flavor. Not bad, but not with the price. Everything came out to about 45 bucks, so a bit pricy but the portions were large. I would expect a bit more punch in flavors for the money, but it wasn't too bad given the size. It's good crepes, and great portions. Needs better quality control on their flavors but if they can fine tune that then this would be an easy recommendation. Right now, it's fun to try but might be not to everyone's taste

My older daughter and I halfed each of the savory and sweet crepes so we each got to try both, while my younger daughter had the kid crepe all to herself. Overall, we thought the crepes were good - we enjoyed it, but nothing spectacular. However, I think I enjoyed my Dubai chocolate latte more than the crepes. They had some interesting drinks on the menu and I'd like to go back and try some of their other coffee creations.

I stopped in last minute while out running errands. I was seated immediately on a busy Saturday late morning and greeted right after. The menu is fantastic. Great options, wonderful seasonal specials. (Short rib omelette?! Hell yes!) I wanted basic, so I built my own omelette with a side of bacon and a hot tea. They have a great drink menu- coffee, specialty cocoas, tea, cocktails, mocktails, and refreshers. I was on my way to see a friend, so I grabbed us each a refresher to go. My meal was out in just minutes. Expertly prepared, fresh and delicious. Also a very nice portion. Sourdough toast was excellent. Generous filling for the omelette too. The only drawback was a common plight for strip mall restaurants- entrance that opens straight into the dining room. No foyer or vestibule means the cold January air nipped you in the face every time that front door opened. On cold days, get a table in the back. I'd like to highlight the mocktail concept, too. I often want a spirited drink but don't imbibe booze often. I love that they have offerings. The entire staff was so nice and helpful. I can't wait to come back!

Parking can be challenging, there is a very small lot in front with 2 regular spaces and 1 handicap space; plus there are several spots on the street, all of which were full. I ended up parking on the nearby side street by the Burger King. Inside the cafe there are two distinct sides, the right side is set up as a coffee shop with the service counter, some high top tables and some comfortable seating; the left side is set up as a dining area with a bar. The decor is bright and modern with some touches of whimsy, overall very nice and comfortable, the kind of place you can relax and take your time. The menu is set up with a number of categories: breakfast, paninis, salads, wraps, flatbreads, wafflesicles and drinks. Prices are reasonable and there are some interesting items. I had a certificate for $20 so I ordered the Smashed Egg Avocado Bagel, the Bang Bang Shrimp Wrap and a big Chocolate Chip Cookie. The staff was great getting the certificate redeemed and guiding me through the menu. The food came out in a very timely manner, presentation was simple and straightforward. I had plenty of food for a very nice lunch. The egg and avocado bagel was interesting, the bagel was a bit soft for my preference, it was topped with a generous spread of egg and avocado mix plus some fresh spinach leaves. A very nice and healthy breakfast sandwich, a bit milder in flavor then I prefer, but good. The shrimp wrap was a good sized flour wrap around cold cooked shrimp with shredded cabbage and a great spicy sauce that perfectly complimented the wrap. This was excellent, the cool meaty shrimp contrasting with the crunchy cabbage and the zippy creamy sauce. I would highly recommend this if you like a bit of spice. The warm cookie was a great way to finish my lunch, very soft and gooey, packed with high quality chocolate chunks. About the only issue I had with the cookie was that it was hard to eat with just my hands, I ended up using the fork for most of the cookie. Jade Owl Cafe is a great local place to grab some high quality food, pastries and drinks. It is woman and minority owned, very well thought out and executed.
