Ordered Cafe & Deli El Ranchero through DoorDash and my wife and I were genuinely surprised in the best way. The food arrived fresh, flavorful, and very satisfying. The pupusas were the highlight. The masa was soft and light, not heavy or doughy like some places. Very filling without feeling overwhelming. The curtido was also on point. They had great flavor, well balanced, and not overly spicy or vinegary. We also ordered the yuca con chicharrón, which was excellent. Well fried, crispy, and full of flavor. Prices were reasonable for the portions and quality. The only downside was the Salvadoran horchata. It was a bit too sweet for our taste and lacked that nuttier, earthier richness I usually expect. We have missed out so many times before, because normally by the time we think of eating here they're closed. SO HAPPY we finally made it! My husband isn't even a huge fan of pupusas but I ordered him the asada and cheese while I got bean and cheese. Everything was so great and packaged to go very well. Small place but their portions are large with a ton of flavor. It's hard to find a good pupuseria around the area. This place has some of the best one I've tried in a while. On top of that they have other favorite Salvadorian dishes equally as good. You can buy Salvadorian coffee and Kola-Champagne on the side as well. So good!
