Munching on our meal! My sister found a new favorite all of this minus the sodas for 10 !!
    Ivon N.

Good food ! Had and omelette with veggies and hash browns and toast! My sister had spaghetti with meatballs and she loved it. Brought our dog from our morning walk and the owner even provided us with a bowl of water for her. If they treat me nice and had good food I'm definitely coming back to this!

many options on and off the menu, great quantity and quality. I'm a regular that comes constantly through out the week.

You can really taste the quality in every sip, and it's clear they take their sourcing and preparation seriously. The minimalistic interior is also a plus for this location. It's a great space for studying, catching up with friends, or just taking a break. It's a spacious interior with much more seating compared to the Koreatown location.

8/4/2026 3 1/2 Stars…read more First time at Damo. MATCHA EINSPANER Very creamy matcha. Matcha flavor is there, but it's not distinct matcha where you can taste the nuances of the matcha flavors. The cream top does make it very creamy and it does mask majority of the matcha flavor. It did taste like a dessert drink. It was enjoyable though. COLD BREW VANILLA Weirdly sour and smoky flavored cold brew. Slight floral flavor too. It was such an odd combination of flavors with the vanilla cold foam. The lingering aftertaste was not good either. It's neither this nor that. Would not recommend! FINANCIERS Their financiers are made by a local bakery called Musk. It seems their financier flavors are changed often, so no same flavors are in rotation. Sausage & Parmesan - The almond cake's vanilla flavor with the sausage and salty parmesan was a unique flavor. The almond cake was nice and spongy. It did take a bit of time to get used to the savory flavors with the almond cake. It's like a breakfast in an unexpected way. Nutella - Buttery almond cake with nutella and roasted hazelnuts. Enjoyed it! I think Nutella fans would like it. Mugwort + Fig - Buttery in the beginning and it ends with a good, medium-strength flavor of mugwort. Fig was garnish on top, so you barely get it. However, I like that they added the sweetness of the figs with the earthy bitter mugwort. Overall, it was uniquely delicious and mugwort was the star. Yuza + Apricot - A tad sweeter than expected due to the outer brush of yuza aka yuzu simple syrup. Loved the chewy apricot on top. It really brought a lovely fruityness to the financier. The yuzu flavor was there alongside the butteryness of the almond cake. All the financiers were done well! Delicious! Recommend trying at least one when you're at this location. Not sure if their financiers are offered at their other locations. CUSTOMER SERVICE It was good. Not terribly friendly, but still answered my questions. Staff were all busy making the drinks. AMBIANCE + SEATS Really large space with rows of tables and chairs. It was strange walking in and seeing various tables and seats to one side and it almost looked like a cafe used as office space. Seeing all the people sitting down on their laptops or talking, as though they're having a casual business meeting there. It was just strange. The tables were mixed wooden tables and chairs. There were long benches too for people waiting for takeout orders. The large space felt so roomy, I get why the tables were all taken. PARKING Street parking is available, yet when I was there in the early afternoon on a Tuesday, it was packed! The only place to park was the paid parking lot right across from Damo. Parking was $5.00. I wouldn't recommend parking elsewhere outside of that street, as it is a sketchy area and lots of homeless encampments around the area. Would I return? Not sure. I like the large, roomy warehouse space with lots of tables to sit in, but the cafe being in a sketchy area gives me hesitation. Not in love with $5.00 parking too. One of my drinks was good, but the other was bad. The only thing I loved was the financiers.

Lots of interesting choices. The drinks were well balanced and not overly sweet, so you could actually taste the coffee instead of having it covered up by syrups or other flavors. Loved the honey lavender matcha and peanut coffee. The drinks were beautifully presented too, so they looked just as good as they tasted. Rok instantly became one of my favorite cafes in LA. If I had tried their drinks at the beginning of our trip, I honestly would have gone back every day until we left! They have so many interesting drink combinations. This time, I tried the Earl Grey Matcha Duo. I love both Earl Grey and matcha but I wasn't quite sure how well they would pair together until I took my first sip. OMG, it was sooooo good!!! The balance between the Earl Grey flavor and the matcha was perfect. No wonder they've been recognized as one of the best places for matcha in the U.S. They also use Uji matcha which made me even more excited to try it. Our first visit to Rok was only two days before we left LA and I liked it so much that I had to have it one more time before we went home. On the morning of our flight, we got up a little earlier just so we could stop by and get their drinks before heading to the airport! And basically vibe is a non literal way of saying that a place has a striking and specific atmosphere that matches the objective of the place. For instance, if a beach has a vibe than it offers all that a beach should in a clear and present kind of way. And this place offers a multi-functional coffee house vibe that is clear and present. For instance, I can easily see friends catching up over latte's and croissants and feeling cozy enough to make the chat lazy in a most wonderful way, like laying on a bean bag with no midterms or mortgage payments near. I can also see people producing here. Whether it be beats, plays, books, or corporate re-structuring plan this place has a vibe that communicates one can focus to create. And that is the kind of vibe I like, cause it is the kind of vibe I need when I seek to produce. The focal point of the vibe were the work pods of the place. I took a picture of them and the way I did makes them seem like a row of catacombs or something like that. Something with infinite pillars. Why is sitting in pod important? Will my prose really be that much more impactful if I sit in a pod from this place as oppose to my kitchen table or a regular table that this place offers? Maybe. Perhaps not. But, like, science cannot explain why coffee taste better out of one's "coffee mug" but if one is a coffee drinker and one has a designated mug of their own, then one knows that coffee does taste more exquisite when the mug and the pour become one as vessel and brew. I am thinking the same concept applies here just in a different kind of way. Meaning that the work pod might not have any actual effect but a quasi-placebo or even self-fulfilling prophecy effect take place and make the person impacted produce work that sings better. I know my signatures are better when I use my favorite pen. I read a sign on the pods that ask visitors to only stay for 90 minutes, no more. So the pods of this place are regulated so they must be that important. And I can see why. At the basic level they are engaging to sit in and write within them. The last time I went I ordered one of the best iced coffees I ever had in my life and that is no cap. That felt good writhing, so I will say it anew: I ordered one of the best iced coffees I ever had. Meaning that on a random day, where I expected little, I try something new that makes me happy to be open to new cuisine even if the new cuisine is just a new flavor: Barry White. It was black berry with white chocolate. I expected the combination to fail in pleasing me. But I was wrong. Me. Not the drink. I loved the sweetness of the concoction. I also ordered their sweet potato chicken bowl. Another great set of bites, but not to my liking because I did not ask for the chili to be removed from the chicken bowl. But if the chili was gone I would have described this dish as the bomb or something similar. But the coffee takes the cake. I visited the place just yesterday and they had an exhibition titled the heartbeat of culture. I took a picture of two women just outside the bussiness on a festival day. They were wearing clothing of their cutlture. They were standing tall in pride, supporting each other, and reminding me that all people have a heart that shines brighter when they are wearing something that makes them feel powerful with color pop. This place is certainly a move when one is at Leimert Park or if one needs a place to work and they are just over the Hollywood coffee scene.
