My friend ordered the hibiscus lemonade and found it light and refreshing. My experience at this Torrance coffee shop on a rainy Saturday afternoon was fairly pleasant! The place was busy, and I ordered the Island Matcha, which was excellent. Made with coconut, macadamia syrup, and oat milk by default, it had a perfectly balanced, tropical flavor--great for vegans or the lactose intolerant. However, it's not the best spot for working or studying. The WiFi was so slow that I had to use my personal hotspot, and the seating consists of benches and mini tables that aren't comfortable for long periods. There are a few outlets, but you have to cross the street to a food court to use the bathroom. They have a shared parking lot out front. Great coffee! The service is good and great baristas. The pastries are kind of unique. The donuts are small and are definitely unusual. This was my first time dropping in after lunch across the way. I've been to this area few times. The Mediterranean and Vietnamese places I've frequent often. Chicken shawarma and pho fusion is what I usually order. Came on a Saturday around 10:20 AM and there was already a good line out the door. Waited about 15 minutes in line and another 10 minutes for the drinks to come out. All I can say is wow. Genuinely the most beautiful latte art I've seen in my life!!! You can tell how well they steam their milk because the consistency was perfect. The foam was stable, and the art didn't immediately dissolve or lose its shape when I picked up the cup. The barista's level of precision and control was seriously impressive , my goodnesssss The hot espresso by itself was yum too. The espresso had floral notes with hints of citrus and fruit coming through, and it's a really enjoyable cup even by itself. I also ordered the chaggachino. It was on the sweeter side for me (I don't like my drinks too sweet), but still very delicious. Creamy, rich, and comforting without completely overpowering the coffee flavors underneath. We also got the ham and cheese croissant, which was nicely warm, buttery and crisp on the outside and good proportion of cheese and ham. I love Jetty's coffee in South Central, so this was a great sign--The Nook and Jetty definitely feel like they're cut from the same cloth. The menu is similar but a bit more expansive. My chai was a bit milkier than I expected--but that's on me since I asked for it that way. Still figuring out how to order a chai that works for my sensitive stomach, so it was just okay for me. This coffee bar is a must try! For my first visit, I ordered the Mexican chai latte and it was delicious! The chai spice mixed in nicely with the Mexican cinnamon chocolate! Used to always love coming by Nook when I worked close by! My go to is the iced Spanish latte, their version is light as compared to other coffee shops, yet there's something about the lightness that makes it smooth and enjoyable. Service is your standard hi when you get to the register but not anything special. I do like that although they have lines and are busy that the order still comes out quite fast. So props to that! Ambiance is great because it's nestled in a plaza with a lot of other restaurants and a nice, cozy outdoor spot with lots of seating. Saw a lot of people just hanging out and talking or studying. Stopped by this location bright and early because I heard they had one of the best Spanish Lattes in the South Bay. THEY WERE NOT WRONG! We arrived right before opening (7:30 on Saturdays). Side note: get there early if you can if you have somewhere to be because by the time we were leaving with our drinks the line was really long. The service is immaculate, the staff were friendly and welcoming and efficient! By the time I was done ordering, minutes later my drink was ready! We were in and out within ten minutes The location is spacious and while there are no tables inside, there is plenty of seating outside and there are some benches inside to sit and wait for your order. I ordered the Spanish latte with oat milk (condensed milk, roasted hazelnut syrups, and cinnamon). This was the best latte I had. They know how to make the drink to where it's sweet and has flavor and you can still taste the coffee. It was amazing and I'm hooked! I came by the Nook Coffee bar at the Enclave to grab a drink while I do some work at the outdoor tables. There was luckily no line when I came, (~3 PM) and I easily enough put in my order for an iced chai latte with whole milk. The chai latte was delicious and sweet, the service was super quick and friendly and I was in and out in less than 3 minutes to say the least. The vibes in the area outside of the Nook Coffee bar are great also. There's a ping pong table, fire pit, and plenty of outdoor seating. I've tried the matcha latte here in the past, and I think I prefer the chai one in comparison. It's been a year or two since I discovered that nook opened another location here at the enclave. it's still very trendy, with long lines out the door, despite the sudden outbreak of coffee shops appearing all along the South Bay. A co-worker I introduced this shop to, goes every week and the reason she kept coming back was that unlike Starbucks, she doesn't have to make any substitutions. The quality is consistent each and every single time she goes. I agree with her in that every time I go, whether its the honey lavender latte, lavender chai or the matcha - the consistency is the same and the espresso is strong yet smooth. Additionally, after waiting in line and paying for the drink, I get it within a couple minutes which is awesome. The pastries are always fresh as well. I usually get them warmed. OKAY, ITS GOOD. I came here a few times getting the wrong thing! It's all about the HONEY OAT LATTE. It's the right balance between coffee and a sweet treat. I kept coming here and getting the SPANISH LATTE and it just kept tasting like milk, kept having to add shots and there wasn't much to it. BUT I found their other signature drinks have a lot more to offer. and it's a great location. The enclave is popping. The line is long but at least it is pretty quick. I was also looking for a coffee shop to get work done in the area and I feel like the experience here could've been better. I read reviews saying the WiFi here was good, but it lagged for me to the point where I had to use my personal hot spot. It might've been because of the rain, but I couldn't stay too long because of it. There are also some benches and mini tables to sit at, but not the most ideal spot to stay for long periods of time since they aren't the most comfiest. I also spotted a couple of outlets. They have a parking lot in front shared with other businesses. For bathrooms, you can use the bathrooms at the food court across. I ordered the Matcha Latte and my husband got the Spanish Latte, both iced. Honestly, I did not like their matcha. It was my second time getting it and was hopeful it would be different. However, it was the same experience. The matcha wasn't strong and has a very light taste to it. I got it sweetened and it was just okay. You can scan the QR code to view their menu outside. The inside is very bright and open. They have a few products near the register like other branded or baked goods to go with your beverage. While there were plenty of great choices on their menu, I was craving something matcha -- being it my first time, I went with their classic matcha and my friend had their Island Matcha which they said was really good. Noon Coffee Bar is located in the Encore plaza. There's plenty of parking along 190Th street as well as in the back. It has modern interior and a large entrance. They sell lots of various coffee drinks, matcha, and tea. I got the matcha latte and service was quick. Tastes like regular matcha, nothing mind blowing. Love the nook but sad about today's experience and I'm most likely not coming back for a while. So he goes up to ask them if the island matcha came out. A guy from the line sees the order number, goes to their ticket tablet and makes my matcha drink in less than 5 seconds (I mean it, they're super quick). My husband beckons me to grab my matcha and I come up silently to grab it and leave with another sigh. Drink tastes great. Though the just making the drink quickly and not acknowledging/apologizing that something went wrong was kind of sad since I already felt disregarded in the first place. As I walked away I heard that my ticket just somehow didn't show up but sigh. I wish someone checked on me if I was waiting on anything. I know it's on me too for not speaking up, but I trusted the process. I thought they didn't forget about me. I was wrong. I burnt my favorite mixing bowl today, we got turned away from my fav restaurant for lunch because they were full and we just happened to be the one behind the last queue that got accepted today.
