Iced matcha and chai latte (light on chai)
    Karen G.

When you walk into a coffee shop and see Jetty beans and Sante matcha, you already know it's going to be good. I love Jetty's coffee in South Central, so this was a great sign--The Nook and Jetty definitely feel like they're cut from the same cloth. The menu is similar but a bit more expansive. I got a matcha for my sister and a chai latte for myself with macadamia milk, light on the chai. The matcha was a beautiful, vibrant green. My chai was a bit milkier than I expected--but that's on me since I asked for it that way. Still figuring out how to order a chai that works for my sensitive stomach, so it was just okay for me. The line looked long but moved quickly, and our drinks came out pretty fast too. Loved the outdoor courtyard setup--such a nice spot to sit and hang out. Overall, great vibe and I'd come back to try other drinks.

    Honey oat latte
    Maria D.

Ordered a honey oat latte. Espresso was 4/5. Not sure if it was the oat milk the used or the espresso itself, but something could have been a little different. The indoors is very spacious, which is great, because the line can get pretty long. Service is quick. And they also have an interesting seating area towards the corner with some outlets. Probably not the best place to get work done in. There is lots of outdoor seating that is shared with the neighboring businesses, and a parking lot as well.

"Neon-Gion!" Barista-to-the-STARS, is away from the movie sets of Hollywood and is gracing the South Bay with his skills and presence. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is very comfortable and the coffee is OUTSTANDING! They got it going on!!!

I'm not big on coffee, I asked for a recommendation and was told to try the Spanish Latte. I ordered it with almond milk and it is really good!

This has quickly become one of my favorite coffee spots--and judging by the long lines, I'm definitely not the only one They never miss. I recently tried the mushroom pastry and wow... so tasty. Seriously, every bite is a treat. It's one of those places I genuinely look forward to coming back to again and again

Every time I have been to The Enclave, this coffee bar has always been busy, with long lines out the door. Today it so happens there were no long lines so I decided to finally give them a try. Nook Coffee Bar not only services both hot and cold coffee, but also tea and pastries. Today I tried their iced Mocha Latte with oat milk and it was fantastic! Very balanced flavor with lots of chocolate so that each sip is flavorful. The service is well organized and friendly. I like this better than their chain store competitors. This is definitely a must try boutique coffee bar.

So my friend has been NAGGING me for the past FIVE years to try this spot if I ever got the chance to - so when I happened to be driving through Torrance I just knew I had to try this spot or I'd never hear the end of it from my friend. And lo and behold, this spot really nailed their drinks. The island matcha and honey oat latte were not too sweet but pleasant overall. I just couldn't stop slurping up the drinks. Man I wish I lived there... well anyhow, we got our drinks fairly quick. The inside was so pretty and minimalistic and everything just looked like a work of wooden art. There was a line at the door after we got our drinks so we got lucky with timing. The outside seats are so cute too. This is definitely a MUST-try spot if you love coffee!

Yep...it's the Coffee Queen! Hitting up another coffee bar in Southern Cali! Don't be alarmed by the long line...I promise it moves fast and it's worth the wait! My "Spanish" latte was very good. Smooth, extra hot and flavorful. My danish on the other hand...not so good...It had raisins, yuck...there was no mention of them in the bakery case...This girl does not like raisins in her danishes...just sayin...(Note to self...don't order the ricotta danish ever again) *Plenty of free parking *Plenty of tables to sit at in the general area ~ and that's all I have to say about that ~

    Iced Spanish latte

Used to always love coming by Nook when I worked close by! My go to is the iced Spanish latte, their version is light as compared to other coffee shops, yet there's something about the lightness that makes it smooth and enjoyable. Service is your standard hi when you get to the register but not anything special. I do like that although they have lines and are busy that the order still comes out quite fast. So props to that! Ambiance is great because it's nestled in a plaza with a lot of other restaurants and a nice, cozy outdoor spot with lots of seating. Saw a lot of people just hanging out and talking or studying. Definitely recommend coming out to try either for a quick coffee fix or to grab a coffee, matcha, or tea over some good conversation with friends or family.

Stopped by this location bright and early because I heard they had one of the best Spanish Lattes in the South Bay. THEY WERE NOT WRONG! We arrived right before opening (7:30 on Saturdays). Side note: get there early if you can if you have somewhere to be because by the time we were leaving with our drinks the line was really long. The service is immaculate, the staff were friendly and welcoming and efficient! By the time I was done ordering, minutes later my drink was ready! We were in and out within ten minutes The location is spacious and while there are no tables inside, there is plenty of seating outside and there are some benches inside to sit and wait for your order. I ordered the Spanish latte with oat milk (condensed milk, roasted hazelnut syrups, and cinnamon). This was the best latte I had. They know how to make the drink to where it's sweet and has flavor and you can still taste the coffee. It was amazing and I'm hooked! I also ordered the cookie butter donut and at first I thought it wouldn't be too great because it appeared to look dry, but it was the perfect cake donut. Consistency was perfect and I enjoyed it I definitely feel like I'm going to be a regular at this location now...

Iced Chai Latte with whole milk
    Kayla D.

I came by the Nook Coffee bar at the Enclave to grab a drink while I do some work at the outdoor tables. There was luckily no line when I came, (~3 PM) and I easily enough put in my order for an iced chai latte with whole milk. The chai latte was delicious and sweet, the service was super quick and friendly and I was in and out in less than 3 minutes to say the least. The vibes in the area outside of the Nook Coffee bar are great also. There's a ping pong table, fire pit, and plenty of outdoor seating. I've tried the matcha latte here in the past, and I think I prefer the chai one in comparison. The store itself only has a few benches (with one hidden outlet plug underneath) where I saw someone doing work. Overall, a great place to visit if you want to grab a drink!

It's been a year or two since I discovered that nook opened another location here at the enclave. it's still very trendy, with long lines out the door, despite the sudden outbreak of coffee shops appearing all along the South Bay. All the baristas are very friendly and sweet - some I talk to every time I visit. The drinks are of top quality. A co-worker I introduced this shop to, goes every week and the reason she kept coming back was that unlike Starbucks, she doesn't have to make any substitutions. The quality is consistent each and every single time she goes. I agree with her in that every time I go, whether its the honey lavender latte, lavender chai or the matcha - the consistency is the same and the espresso is strong yet smooth. Additionally, after waiting in line and paying for the drink, I get it within a couple minutes which is awesome. The pastries are always fresh as well. I usually get them warmed. I get the ham and cheese croissant. I am going back again to get more pastries. and to the baristas: thank you *heart emoji*

Love The Nook! I'll admit, the lines are always long and I never quite understood the hype--until I finally tried it. Now I get it. The matcha is incredibly smooth and gives the perfect boost without the crash--it truly tastes like a high-quality grade. I also love their vegan donuts... they're so good and usually sell out before the afternoon, so they're definitely a must-try. Even with the consistent crowd, the line moves quickly, which I really appreciate. The team is always warm, friendly, and personable--even during busy moments, which says a lot. The space itself is open and airy, making it easy to move around while you wait, and it never feels overwhelming despite how popular it is. We absolutely love The Nook--it's worth every bit of the hype.

What a cute tea shop with a modern, slightly Japandi-inspired decor that makes the space feel calm…read moreand inviting. Their drinks were a pleasant surprise. The Thai tea was nicely balanced and not overly sweet, and the Jasmine tea was fragrant, thick, and perfect at 50% sweetness. The matcha latte was the best drink here for me: earthy, not sweet at all, and with a subtle nuttiness that made it so satisfying. The only miss was the strawberry taro, which leaned too sweet for my taste. Overall, a beautifully designed shop with some truly great drinks.

The price point here is just right for what you get. I was not blown away by anything I got here…read moreand would probably prefer to go elsewhere for a few extra dollars to get better quality and flavor. That said, it's good enough for a place to go when you're on somewhat of a budget. The Dubai Chocolate Frappe was a semi-let down because the advertisement photo looked like it had a lot of chocolate. When I got my order, my first reaction was..."is that it?" The first several sips lacked the chocolate flavor I was anticipating but it was a fairly decent drink. It definitely would have been better with more chocolate as advertised. The Beef Teriyaki Bowl was a generous size; again, it was good enough. The TTEK-BOKKI (Korean Spicy Rice Cake) was extremely filling especially with cheese (which was a $3 up charge). Not sure I'd get this one again if I came back because the price point and the quality just didn't match. Parking is easy and free since it's in a complex with a now abandoned Rite-Aid. Even so, I'm not completely sure I'd come back since this place is small and the setup seems so cramped. It lacked the vibe I thought it would have based on social media posts. The staff could use a bit more energy and enthusiasm like other spots that offer similar items.

The service wasn't great and only one drink was good or correct. I'm still not 100% sure one of…read morethem was the correct drink. I ordered 2 drinks through the app yesterday, the Honey Bori Latte (seasonal) and the Banana Milk Latte. The Banana Milk Latte was delicious once everything was mixed well, but the Honey Bori Latte was just bitter and then less bitter when mixed. It was already half melted, there was no salted honey cold foam or Jolly Pong which is supposed to be part of the drink. I got the order to go, so I didn't notice that my drink was wrong until I got home, so I couldn't even get it corrected. I didn't realize the drink was wrong at first. I thought it was just a flavor I didn't like even though I noted that I couldn't taste Barley at all. Then half way throught it, I decided to look at the description on the app to remember what it was supposed to taste like because it tasted like an ordinary flavorless latte. The description said there's barley milk, salted honey cold foam and Jolly Pong. That's when it hit me that I either got the wrong drink or someone didn't make it right because there was no flavor of salted honey and definitely no Jolly Pong in my drink. It didn't even look like I had cold foam topping my drink, but maybe that's because it was melting already. Overall, I was very upset and disappointed with my drink, but was happy my mom's drink was fine. Now this is only a part of why I was dissapointed with yesterday's experience. The other reason was the app and workers. Maybe the workers aren't used to working with the Smoking Tiger app yet? Or maybe the app still needs work, but the drinks I ordered through the app took forever to be marked ready even though my drinks had been ready for some time which was obvious because my Honey Bori Latte was already half mixed because the layers of ingredients were melting into each other. I arrived at the cafe about 5 minutes after ordering, but the app's estimated wait time was another 10 minutes which wasn't a problem for me, especially since I saw a person waiting for his order and some people inside the cafe, although it wasn't full like usual. I just assumed some people ordered before me, so I just have to wait a bit, which again was fine with me especially since I was waiting for my mom to arrive. At some point after the one person waiting for their drink left, I realized the 2 girls at the counter were just talking and not making any drinks. I checked the app and it still said my order was being prepared. After 2 more people ordered their drinks and received them immediately, I went up to the counter, by this point it had been the app's estimated 10 minute wait. I told the girl with glasses my name and showed her the order on my phone. Then she walked toward the fridge and got my drinks, put them in a drink carrier, passed them to me and then turned around while looking at the receipt paper that was with the drinks. That was it. She didn't tell me which drink was which and they were not labeled, so my mom and I just had taste them to figure out which was which. At most places, they let you know which drink is which, so I was just confused with the service I received, especially when the place wasn't busy. And to top it all off, my order was marked completed 10 minutes after I received my order which again just left me in confusion. I usually love this place and was saddened when they got rid of their Choco Mugwort drink, but I'm always looking forward to their seasonal drinks and baked goods. This time though, I don't think I was even able to taste one of their new seasonal drinks because it tasted like a regular latte with milk. I want to try their other current seasonal drinks, but I'm also worried about what I will receive in the future and I'm not ready for another disappointing coffee any time soon.
