At a restaurant positioning itself as upscale and classy, this came across as incredibly tacky and cheap. Pay your staff properly and price your menu accordingly instead of sneaking surprise fees onto the bill at the very end. That's not hospitality. That's the kind of nickel and diming people expect from budget airlines, not a supposedly high end dining experience. It completely ruined what had otherwise been a nice night. The ambiance is 1/1 and you will not find anything else like it anywhere. There is just simply too much culture and history here. The drinks are all fairly priced and the service was extremely quick (they were well staffed to manage the amount of people present the night I went). Aside from the bar aspect, Dark Horse also has a kitchen that you can order food from! Everything I have tried over the years has been great, but this personally is my favorite place to order Rocky Mountain oysters! If you haven't tried them, 100% give them a shot! It was karaoke night when I went, but during the football season Dark Horse will host CU Boulder Football watch parties. Such a fun local spot, please support them and enjoy your night here!
